Chapter 1976: Chapter 1976: Shu Yu: You’ve Got the Wrong Person

Gan Yujing didn’t notice her actions, she returned to her own booth, preoccupied with her thoughts.

Therefore, she was also unaware that not long after the master and servant entered the booth, a girl stepped out from the corner, staring gloomily at Shu Yu’s booth.

The maid behind her whispered, “Miss.”

Cheng Jiatong’s eyes were sharp, “I absolutely want to see which shameless girl dares to steal my man. I’ve been planning and waiting for so long, I won’t allow anyone to sabotage it.”

The maid quickly chimed in, “Miss, don’t worry. It’s just a country bumpkin from the county town. Obviously, she can’t pare to you. I think…”

Before she finished speaking, they saw the door of that booth being opened, and a beautiful girl walked out.

As soon as Shu Yu stepped out, she felt someone staring at her.

She turned her head and met Cheng Jiatong’s gaze. The other party stared at her resentfully, as if she had done something wrong to her.

Shu Yu was quite sure she didn’t know her. Such a baffling person.

She withdrew her gaze and closed the door of the booth behind her.

Inside, Ms. Liao and Ms. Tao had already started discussing parenting tips. The topic gradually deviated, and Shu Yu, feeling bored, found an excuse to leave early.

After all, she was only there as a stabilizer, and now that her role was fulfilled, staying there was just being a background prop.

She left the booth and headed downstairs.

But as she reached the doorway, she clearly felt the girl who showed hostility towards her earlier following behind.

With people ing and going here, Shu Yu hesitated for a moment and walked into a quiet alley.

When she reached the mouth of the alley, she indeed heard the girl calling out from behind, “Stop right there.”

Shu Yu stopped, turned around to look at her.

Now that they were close, she scrutinized more carefully and was even more certain she’d never seen this girl before.

“You’re calling me?” Shu Yu lifted her eyes, looking at the girl striding towards her.

Cheng Jiatong stopped a couple of steps away from Shu Yu, looked her over with blatant disrespect for a moment, and sneered, “So you’re the country bumpkin from the countryside?”

Country bumpkin from the countryside???

She’d heard this said many times, but today…

Shu Yu looked at herself, nothing wrong with her attire. Today’s occasion was fairly important, so Ms. Tao specifically asked her to dress more formally. At least she shouldn’t look rustic, right?

The other party’s tone and attitude were clearly looking for trouble.

“Miss, you must have mistaken me for someone else?”

“No mistake, it’s you.” Close to the same age as Gan Rui, and just came out of the booth watched by the two families, who else could it be but her?

Cheng Jiatong sneered coldly, “I’m telling you, don’t covet what doesn’t belong to you. If you know what’s good for you, obediently roll back home. This is Changjin Prefecture, not a place for you. If anything happens to you here, no one will have your back. Recognize your own identity.”

Shu Yu, “…”

It sounded like she was talking about her, or maybe not.

She admitted that Changjin Prefecture wasn’t her home. Since opening a shop here, some people indeed felt she shouldn’t have e.

However, saying no one would back her up here wasn’t right, and she was very clear about her own identity.
