Chapter 2084: Chapter 2084: Yuan Gui Forms a Caravan
On the day of the poetry meeting, Shu Yu didn’t go with them; she was helping the old lady prepare for Ying Dong and Hua Xian’s wedding.
After the couple expressed their feelings to each other, the old lady wanted to host their wedding.
However, their situation was special. Hua Xian was sold by her parents to raise grain when she was seven or eight years old, and since then, she had worked as a maid in several households. Granny Fang held her forehead, “I would love to, but Ah Gui is seldom at home, they simply have no chance to spend time together.”
Only she and Xiang were eagerly thinking about it on their own.
Xiang thought Yuan Gui was quite nice. Xiangdi wanted to marry in to take care of her mother. If she married into Yuan Gui’s family, both families led simple lives, and there were only women on both sides, eliminating the need for formalities.
Then the two families could fully unite, providing each other with support, and she wouldn’t have to constantly worry about her mother being alone.
Yuan Gui was sensible and filial as well as good looking, as could be seen from his treatment of Granny Fang.
Unfortunately, Yuan Gui and her daughter had only met a few times, and Xiangdi, despite her age, wasn’t in a rush at all.
Upon hearing Granny Fang’s words, the old lady immediately laughed, “Blame Yu for giving Ah Gui so much work. I’ll have a talk with her later.”
Granny Fang immediately glared at her, “You can’t blame Yu. It’s Ah Gui who is bursting with energy. Before, he didn’t make any progress at the Minor Escort Agency, and the wages were low. Now, Yu pays him well, and he wants to acplish something, so he won’t miss any opportunities.”
