Xiao Leng had returned to the Jiang Manor and heard what Jiang Yi had said about the mission. He immediately rejected it. He said coldly, “Jiang Yi, something almost happened to you last time; what am I supposed to tell Xiao Hong and Lord Mo if you died? We cannot take a risk again this time.”

Jiang Yi gestured to placate Xiao Leng as he said, “You can rest assured this time that I will also bring along four peak-stage God Kings; this mission is in the wilderness this time. Jiang Yi retrieved a docket and gave it to Xiao Leng. Xiao Leng took a look and was shocked. “It’s him?”
“You know him?”
Jiang Yi was slightly stunned as Xiao Leng nodded and said, “There aren’t many within the Blue Eagle Prefecture who do not know him. This person was once a prominent and formidable member of the Blue Eagle Prefecture Demon-Killing Pavilion. During a conflict between the Demon-Killing Pavilion and the Earth Emanations Pavilion back then, he had single-handedly slaughtered five Heaven Emanations; one of whom was even stronger than me!”
“That incredible?”
Jiang Yi swallowed as his heart sank. It seemed like this mission was a no-go. He asked curiously, “Isn’t he just a low-tier Demon-Killing Battle God? How is he so strong?”

Gu Mu went out and soon came back. He reported in a low voice, “Master, I have news that the Crazed God Castle had recently gotten its hands on a superior-grade soul spirit herb called the Pandan plant. However… the asking price is five million divine roots…”

Jiang Yi’s eyes turned cold as he recalled how he had almost died at their hands when he first came to the Divine Eagle City. For a while, he had forgotten about this Crazed God Castle. Jiang Yi did not bother to explain. He knew that the Crazed God Castle was very influential. If not, it would have long been destroyed or taken over. However, no matter how powerful the Crazed God Castle’s backer was, he could not be bigger than Mo Lingqiu, right? While Jiang Yi was not Mo Lingqiu’s man, everyone thought that he was. Since that was the case, why would Jiang Yi waste such an opportunity to make use of that fact? He had never created trouble for the Crazed God Castle since he became the city lord. It shouldn’t be too overboard trying to con them of a spirit herb, right?
The two left the city as Gu Mu took out a Divine Boat with uncertainty and flew north towards the Crazed God Mountain. The last time, Jiang Yi had taken a day and a night to reach it. This time, the Divine Boat was much faster. Within one hour, they had already reached Crazed God Mountain.

The Divine Boat stopped outside Crazed God Castle as Jiang Yi and Gu Mu flew down. There was a group of God General guards outside the castle. Seeing Jiang Yi, they vaguely felt him familiar for a moment. However, they then swiftly reacted as they genuflected and said, “Greetings to the City Lord.”
Jiang Yi ignored them as he brought Gu Mu inside without saying a word. He had just entered the central hall when Jiang Yi’s acquaintance, mander He, walked towards him briskly. mander He smiled from afar and said, “Hahaha, I saw the Wind Spirit Flower in my backyard bloom first thing this morning, and I had this feeling that something good was going to happen today! Indeed, the City Lord has graced the Crazed God Castle with his presence!”

Jiang Yi and Gu Mu drank a sip as they realized that it was indeed special. There was first a little bitterness and then a fragrance that slowly appeared. That fragrance was so pungent and beyond pare. Jiang Yi did not say anything anymore as he lowered his head and finished the tea. He then looked up at mander He and said, “Not bad, not bad! Please help me to pack some when I’m leaving. Gu Mu, however much they cost, please remember to foot the bill!”
mander He hurriedly laughed as he said, “My Lord is jesting! This is but some tea leaves; how could I make my Lord pay for it? That would be looking down on me!”

Jiang Yi pointed at mander He as he said to Gu Mu very happily, “What is righteousness, and what is loyalty? That is mander He! We are definitely going to be good friends!”
“Yes, mander He’s chivalry is very well-known in the Divine Eagle City!” Gu Mu answered in response.

mander He suddenly had a premonition; something was not right with Jiang Yi’s words.
