Now reading: Chapter 4: You Didn't Stealthily Die on Us, Did You? from Future Yuji Itadori Joins the Chat Group, a Action novel by QuickInQuickOut.

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Are you two really the sa person? I feel like I can't really fit into your conversation.]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: But it seems pretty interesting! Wouldn't it be great to have a future version of yourself?]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: You'd know all the future lottery numbers and stuff! And if you run into any trouble or difficulties in the future, you could avoid them! It's too convenient!]

Yuji Itadori looked at the ssages sent by this group mber; he had considered similar questions before.

However, he also knew exactly what kind of answer his younger self would give.

[Jujutsu Physical Education Student: That sounds like it would be really boring!]

Yuji Itadori was not soone who cared about material wealth or other such things, so he wasn't interested in the matters ntioned by the other party.

Under normal circumstances, Yuji Itadori wouldn't tell the other party about future events, and the young version of himself certainly wouldn't ask.

But...

If it were a special situation, he would definitely intervene.

At the very least, he had to prevent tragedies from repeating.

To save as many people as possible.

Because his past self hadn't been able to do it.

So his current self must succeed.

That said, things that had already happened in the past were still worth chatting about.

For instance, the places they stayed as kids, the snacks they ate, and the gas they played.

Shared experiences allowed the two of them to strike up a conversation, and the two Itadoris exchanged ssages back and forth in the group.

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Hey, pay a little attention to the others. I can't get into your conversation at all, okay?]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: @Jealous Witch's Object of Escape, Natsuki, what are you doing? You haven't said anything for ages.]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: I was just helping Satella look for sothing! We're about to arrive at the destination!]

At this mont, Natsuki Subaru and the girl beside him who called herself Satella had arrived at the entrance of a residence in the Royal Capital Slums.

'Satella' had sothing very important stolen, and Natsuki Subaru had volunteered to help her get it back.

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: What?!]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: You haven't been acting all lovey-dovey with that beautiful girl you ntioned earlier this whole ti, have you?]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Unacceptable, totally unacceptable!]

Natsuki Subaru could feel the other party's resentnt through the screen. He rely smiled slightly, then walked to the door of the residence and knocked twice.

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: No one seems to be here. I'll go in and take a look first.]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: I sll sothing fishy. Why do I have an ominous feeling?]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: Wait a second! Why are there corpses here?!]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Hey, hey, hey, you're not joking, are you?]

[Jujutsu Physical Education Student: Natsuki, are you okay? @Jealous Witch's Object of Escape]

Everyone imdiately expressed concern for Natsuki Subaru's status.

A few minutes later, Natsuki Subaru's ssage finally reappeared.

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: I... I'm not dead?]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: What happened? You suddenly stopped talking, it was pretty scary?]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: I just entered the room and saw two corpses... then soone suddenly rushed out and stabbed ... Strange, why aren't I dead?]

[Jujutsu Physical Education Student: Could it be a hallucination or sothing?]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: No, it definitely wasn't a hallucination. That pain was too real... It seems like I've returned to... the spot where I first transmigrated. What on earth is going on?]

Right at that mont, a new prompt popped up on the chat interface.

[Group Function Unlocked]

[Photo/Video Upload: Group mbers can edit the scenes they see or rember into pictures or videos and upload them to the chat group.]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: I can turn mories into videos? Let try...]

A few minutes later, Natsuki Subaru uploaded the scenes from his mory to the group.

The footage was from Natsuki Subaru's first-person perspective. Just as he had said, he saw two corpses in a dim environnt.

One was a petite girl who looked to be only in her teens.

The other was a giant over three ters tall.

However, a few seconds later, a dark figure flashed by, and the screen spun in the air.

Without a doubt, Natsuki Subaru had been attacked by that mysterious person.

A fatal blow.

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: This... this is the scene I just saw.]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: How... how terrifying.]

[Jujutsu Physical Education Student: That killer wouldn't even spare a little girl...]

Yuji Itadori watched the video in the chat group carefully. Because it was from Natsuki Subaru's first-person perspective, he couldn't see the attacker's appearance clearly either.

But he could confirm at least one thing: the opponent was no ordinary person.

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: But it's strange. I... actually didn't die. What's going on?]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Could it be that you have so kind of system or talent? When I transmigrated earlier, that useless goddess told that every transmigrator gets a skill or a sacred treasure. Even though you don't have a goddess, maybe you actually have so kind of skill too?]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: Do I have so kind of skill too?]

[Jujutsu Physical Education Student: From your description, could it be the kind of ability where ti winds back after death? I've seen quite a few things like that in movies and ani before.]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: Wouldn't that be sothing like... Return by Death?]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Maybe, but you'd have to die again to verify it. Isn't the risk a bit too high?]

However, after sending that ssage, Natsuki Subaru didn't reply for a long ti.

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: Where'd you go? @Jealous Witch's Object of Escape]

It was only a minute later that he sent another ssage.

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: Return by Death.]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: Phew, it seems like it's fine if it's the Chat Group.]

[Useless Goddess, You Really Deserve to Die: You didn't speak for ages just now. Did sothing happen?]

[Jealous Witch's Object of Escape: ...I don't know how to put it for a mont. Please watch the VCR.]

Imdiately, Natsuki Subaru sent another video.

In the video, he had just closed the Chat Group interface and was murmuring about the content of the recent chat.

However, when he ntioned Return by Death, Natsuki Subaru collapsed to the ground, letting out a painful groan as his body trembled uncontrollably.

Yuji Itadori watched this video and couldn't keep his composure for a mont.

[Unsurrounded One: So, you didn't just die again just now, did you?]
