"Senior Itadori! This is Betty! Although she has a bit of a sharp tongue, she's actually a very good person!"
Natsuki Subaru turned around and introduced Beatrice to Yuji Itadori with a smile.
Beatrice gave a huff, closed her eyes, and tilted her head up. Though she acted arrogant, she looked quite cute at that mont.
However, Beatrice's attention soon shifted to Roswaal.
She stepped forward and listened to the conversation between Emilia and Roswaal. Knowing what had happened, her expression beca sowhat solemn.
"Roswaal..."
Beatrice's eyes reflected Roswaal's face, and the latter looked back at her as well.
"You're... the Roswaal I know, aren't you?"
Beatrice was also a Great Spirit who had existed in the world for over four hundred years. She was created by Echidna and had lived with Roswaal in the past.
However, Beatrice had no idea that the human Roswaal had lived until now through Soul Transference. Even though the heads of the Roswaal family throughout generations used the sa na, with only the middle nas differing, she had never considered this possibility.
It wasn't until she learned the truth about Roswaal just now that she suddenly realized it.
The nearby Emilia and the others were listening in a daze, completely unaware of what Beatrice's words ant.
Seeing her, Roswaal rely sighed, then shook his head with a smile.
"I didn't expect things to turn out this way either—but yes, I am that Roswaal, Betty."
"What are you two even talking about?"
Natsuki Subaru was utterly bewildered. Roswaal is Roswaal?
What kind of dialogue was this?
Beatrice said nothing; she just stared at the Roswaal before her, her eyes seemingly growing moist.
Once, she had signed a Contract with Echidna to guard the Forbidden Library forever until 'that person' appeared.
Beatrice had no idea who 'that person' was, not even when they would appear, what they looked like, or what their characteristics were.
There was no information in the Book of Wisdom left to her by Echidna either.
Beatrice had spent four hundred years in loneliness and confusion, her heart reaching the brink of despair.
But now, she knew that the Roswaal before her was the very person who had stayed by her side day and night four hundred years ago.
She had too many questions for the Roswaal in front of her.
"Why does Betty feel a bit strange today?"
Natsuki Subaru was scratching his head.
"She seems a bit sad," Yuji Itadori said slowly, crossing his arms over his chest.
That look in her eyes was sowhat familiar to Yuji Itadori.
"Sad?"
Yuji Itadori did not answer, rely looking in the direction of the group.
The task he needed to perform was finished; with the dangerous elent removed, there was no need for further interference.
"I'll leave the rest for you all to arrange," Yuji Itadori said, turning around.
"Thank you so much for your hard work, Senior Itadori."
"It's fine. Since there's nothing else to do, I should get ready to head back."
After confirming that everything was fine on Natsuki Subaru's side, Yuji Itadori returned to the real world, to his residence hidden within the city.
"You're back?"
Panda-senpai's voice rang out from beside Yuji Itadori.
To him, everything that happened to Yuji Itadori in the chat group took place in just an instant.
Although Panda had found it hard to believe Yuji Itadori's words at first, after seeing Yuji Itadori bring back various specialties belonging to an Isekai out of thin air, he completely believed him.
"Yeah, I ca back after settling things over there. Panda-senpai, I t soone who claims to be even cuter than you. Oh, I should say a cat?"
Yuji Itadori nodded to Panda.
"Wait, a cat that can talk?"
"Coming from a Panda like you, Senpai, those words feel a bit strange."
"Are there things like Cursed Corpses in that other world too?"
"No, he said he's a Spirit."
"A Spirit? Such things actually exist?"
"After all, other worlds are completely different from what we imagine," Yuji Itadori replied.
"Then who are the group mbers you ntioned? What kind of worlds are they in?"
"Most are about high school age. There's one adult, but he's also quite young. The worlds they're in are completely different, but mostly the ancient, Magic-using types, similar to what you see in movies and gas."
Yuji Itadori answered vaguely.
He didn't ntion the fact that there was another version of himself in the group.
It wasn't for any particular reason; he just felt it would be difficult to explain.
"So, did you bring back any good food this ti?"
"No, because this ti wasn't in a town, but in a border region."
Yuji Itadori then inford Panda of the general situation of what had happened, and the latter was continuously amazed.
"To think such a thing happened... the situation in that world doesn't seem very optimistic either."
"Mhm."
Yuji Itadori did not deny it.
"Speaking of which, what are we eating tonight?"
"Don't know. Let's head out and find sothing to eat. Maybe go play so pachinko too?"
"We've been playing pachinko for almost a month!"
"Now that you ntion it, that's true."
As if thinking of sothing, Yuji Itadori took out his phone and dialed a certain number.
"Hello, are you free? Do you want to go play pachinko tonight?"
After a few seconds of silence, Yuji Itadori put down the phone.
"Who did you call?"
"Nobara Kugisaki."
"You got yelled at, didn't you?"
"Yeah, I got yelled at pretty bad. Should I ask Senior Okkotsu's grandchildren? They've worked hard lately too... but I don't think I have their contact info. Panda-senpai?"
Yuji Itadori noticed Panda looking at him with a aningful, smiling gaze.
"You've changed quite a bit recently."
"I've changed?"
Yuji Itadori was a bit confused; he didn't feel like anything about him was different.
"It's just that compared to a while ago, you now seem more like the Itadori I used to know... Forget it, it's nothing. Let's go!"
"Mhm."
"You're not short on money now, are you? How about buying a ga console to keep at ho?"
"I haven't thought about that yet."
"Every ti, I can only watch! I'm a Panda, I can't exactly play on a handheld!"
"That's true."
The two of them chatted as they pushed open the door and walked outside.
