Chapter 91 — The Hero Who Finally Rested

"KAAAAAISER!"

Silver synchronization light exploded across the sky.

Elena shot upward through orbit at insane speed while the civilians throughout Astral Pri watched in complete panic below.

anwhile—

Kaiser continued falling unconscious through the atmosphere like a defeated final boss after saving the galaxy.

Honestly?

Very dramatic.

Very Kaiser.

The forr Assimilation King stared silently for one second.

Then looked downward toward the planet.

"...Should I help."

Astra answered imdiately.

"Probability of Saintess Elena killing you if you touch him remains extrely high."

Silence.

"...Understood."

Fair survival instinct honestly.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Elena finally caught Kaiser high above the atmosphere before he crashed directly through several synchronization satellites.

The impact still sent both of them flying through storm clouds violently.

Elena tightened her hold around him imdiately.

"...You unbelievable idiot."

Kaiser remained completely unconscious.

Honestly rare sight.

The Hero King who defeated interstellar civilizations looked strangely peaceful while sleeping.

Almost normal.

If not for the fact blue synchronization lightning still randomly exploded around him every few seconds.

Elena sighed deeply.

"Of course even unconscious you’re dangerous."

Below them—

the entire planet watched nervously.

Then suddenly—

cheering erupted everywhere.

"He’s alive!"

"The Hero King survived!"

"Kaiser!"

Synchronization lanterns filled the sky while millions of civilians throughout Astral Pri celebrated openly.

The war was over.

The Assimilation fleets were gone.

The galaxy was free.

And the hero survived.

Barely.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

A few minutes later—

Elena landed back on the palace balcony while carrying unconscious Kaiser princess-style.

Imdiately—

every nearby soldier froze.

Honestly?

The image looked suspiciously romantic.

Lyra imdiately approached them nervously.

"...Is he okay?"

Elena looked down at Kaiser silently.

"...Physically yes."

Astra’s hologram appeared beside them.

"Synchronization exhaustion detected beyond previously recorded human limits."

Translation:

Kaiser overworked himself again.

Shocking absolutely nobody.

Lyra carefully looked toward Kaiser’s sleeping face.

Without the overwhelming synchronization aura around him, he suddenly looked younger sohow.

Less like a legendary hero.

More like an exhausted person carrying too much responsibility.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Elena suddenly noticed Lyra staring.

Then narrowed her silver eyes slightly.

Interesting reaction.

Very interesting.

"...What."

Lyra blinked once.

"Nothing."

Very suspicious answer.

Elena stared harder.

Lyra imdiately looked away afterward.

Honestly?

Dangerous atmosphere.

Several palace dics rushed onto the balcony quickly afterward.

"Move aside!"

"We need to examine him imdiately!"

One older doctor nervously approached Kaiser before stopping completely.

Blue synchronization lightning sparked around Kaiser’s unconscious body automatically.

The doctor imdiately stepped backward.

"...Why is he still generating enough synchronization pressure to distort space while asleep?"

Astra answered calmly.

"Because he is Kaiser."

Honestly?

Best explanation available.

The palace staff carefully transported Kaiser toward the royal dical wing afterward while guards and officials filled the hallways anxiously.

Everywhere they passed—

people bowed respectfully.

The Hero King saved their civilization.

No one on Astral Pri would forget that.

Hours later—

the palace finally beca quieter.

The galaxy-wide celebrations still continued outside, but inside the royal dical wing the atmosphere remained calm.

Kaiser slept peacefully on an absurdly expensive royal bed surrounded by synchronization stabilization equipnt.

Honestly?

He looked completely normal.

Which sohow felt stranger than seeing him fight galaxies.

Elena sat beside the bed quietly while reading synchronization reports Astra projected into the air.

Or at least pretending to read them.

Actually—

she kept glancing toward Kaiser every few seconds.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Lyra entered the room slowly afterward carrying two cups of steaming Astral tea.

"You’ve been sitting there for three hours."

Elena accepted the tea without looking away from Kaiser.

"He almost burned out his synchronization core."

Lyra sat quietly across from her.

"...He still saved everyone."

Silence settled briefly.

The soft glow from the synchronization equipnt illuminated the room gently while distant celebration fireworks exploded outside the palace windows.

Then Lyra finally sighed softly.

"...I don’t understand him."

Elena smiled slightly.

"Neither does he honestly."

Fair.

Lyra looked toward Kaiser again.

"He fights like soone carrying entire worlds."

Golden synchronization light reflected in her eyes quietly.

"But then..."

A small pause.

"...he says simple things like ’people matter’ with complete seriousness."

Elena laughed softly.

"That’s because Kaiser really is simple."

Lyra blinked once.

"...Simple?"

"Yes."

Elena rested her cheek against her hand while staring at the sleeping hero beside her.

"He protects people because he wants to."

Simple answer.

Human answer.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Lyra looked toward Kaiser silently for a mont.

Then suddenly smiled weakly.

"That might be the most dangerous type of person."

Honestly?

Absolutely true.

Before Elena could answer—

Kaiser suddenly moved slightly beneath the blankets.

Both won imdiately looked toward him.

Blue synchronization sparks flickered softly around his body while he slowly opened his eyes.

For several seconds—

he stared blankly at the ceiling.

"...Why does my body feel dead."

Elena crossed her arms instantly.

"Because you tried carrying an entire galaxy emotionally."

Kaiser blinked once.

"...Right."

Then he tried sitting up.

Imdiately—

his entire body failed.

Kaiser collapsed directly back onto the bed.

Silence.

Elena looked completely unsurprised.

"...Idiot."

Honestly deserved.

Kaiser stared at the ceiling again quietly.

"...I regret everything."

"No you don’t."

"...Fair."

Lyra accidentally laughed seeing the interaction.

Kaiser slowly turned his head toward her afterward.

"...You’re still here."

Lyra blinked slightly.

"...Should I leave?"

"No."

Imdiate answer.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

The room suddenly beca strangely quiet afterward.

Elena imdiately noticed.

Dangerous atmosphere detected.

Kaiser slowly pushed himself upright again—much more carefully this ti.

The synchronization equipnt around the bed imdiately started flashing warnings.

Astra appeared instantly.

"Recomndation: remain resting for at least forty-eight additional hours."

Kaiser looked offended.

"That long?"

"Yes."

"...Cruel."

Honestly?

Astra was correct for once.

Kaiser still looked exhausted.

The blue synchronization marks around his body flickered weakly while he rubbed his forehead tiredly.

Then suddenly—

his stomach growled loudly.

Silence filled the room.

Elena slowly looked away.

Lyra covered her mouth imdiately.

Kaiser stared forward completely expressionless.

"...I choose death."

Honestly understandable.

Lyra finally lost the battle against laughter.

Elena joined seconds later.

Even Astra’s hologram flickered strangely.

Possibly amusent.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

A few hours later—

Kaiser sat near the massive palace windows eating enough food for an entire military squad while Astral Pri’s celebrations continued outside.

Honestly?

Watching the Hero King devour royal cuisine at terrifying speed felt oddly normal now.

Lyra watched him carefully from across the table.

"...How are you still hungry after synchronization overload."

Kaiser calmly continued eating.

"Synchronization burns energy."

Elena translated helpfully.

"He ans he’s always hungry."

Fair.

Outside the palace windows, gigantic synchronization fireworks illuminated the night sky beautifully while civilians throughout the city celebrated freedom.

The forr Assimilation worlds had officially joined the Human Network only hours earlier.

Not through conquest.

Choice.

The galaxy was changing rapidly.

And honestly?

That scared so civilizations.

Lyra activated a holographic projection above the table.

Several nearby star systems appeared.

Political reports flooded the screen continuously.

"So worlds are already panicking."

Kaiser finally looked up from the food.

"Why."

Lyra looked serious imdiately.

"The Human Network just defeated the Assimilation civilization."

The holographic galaxy map expanded further.

"Half the galaxy now sees your civilization as unstoppable."

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Elena crossed her arms slightly.

"That sounds accurate honestly."

Kaiser ignored her.

Lyra continued quietly.

"So systems want alliances."

"Others are afraid."

One political report flashed red.

"A few civilizations already call you a galactic emperor."

Kaiser nearly choked on his drink.

"...WHAT?"

Honestly reasonable reaction.

Lyra looked way too amused suddenly.

"The title spreading fastest right now is..."

She checked another synchronization report.

"...King of Humanity."

Kaiser imdiately looked exhausted again.

"No."

Elena smiled innocently.

"I think it sounds cool."

Traitor.

Absolute traitor.

Astra suddenly appeared beside the table.

"Correction. Current highest probability public title across connected civilizations is ’The Light of Humanity.’"

Silence.

Kaiser stared blankly.

"...That’s worse."

Honestly?

Way cooler actually.

Lyra secretly agreed.

Before the conversation could continue—

BOOOOOOOM!

A synchronization alert suddenly echoed across the palace.

Everyone’s expressions sharpened instantly.

Astra imdiately expanded a holographic ergency signal above the table.

"Unknown synchronization gate detected near Astral Pri orbit."

Kaiser slowly stood up.

Blue synchronization lightning flickered weakly around him again.

Elena imdiately pointed at him.

"No."

"...What."

"You are not fighting another interstellar crisis today."

Fair honestly.

Kaiser still looked half dead.

Lyra activated the orbital surveillance systems quickly.

The holographic projection shifted toward space beyond Astral Pri.

A gigantic silver synchronization gate slowly opened near orbit.

Not corrupted.

Not hostile.

But enormous.

The palace guards imdiately prepared for battle anyway.

Then—

a fleet erged.

Hundreds of beautiful silver warships covered in ancient synchronization symbols slowly appeared beyond the planet.

The room beca silent instantly.

Because every ship carried the sa symbol.

The old Watchers.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Elena imdiately frowned.

"...What are they doing here."

Astra’s analysis systems activated rapidly.

"Synchronization signatures identified."

Pause.

Then—

"...They request diplomatic contact."

Silence spread across the room.

The Watchers almost destroyed civilizations during the Collapse era.

Even after the Silence changed, most surviving Watcher groups stayed isolated near transford Collapse sectors.

And now—

they arrived with an entire fleet.

Interesting.

Not comforting interesting.

One final ship erged slowly from the synchronization gate afterward.

Much larger than the others.

A massive silver flagship covered in glowing synchronization rings.

Then—

a communication request appeared.

Lyra accepted imdiately.

The holographic image of a woman appeared above the table.

Tall.

Silver-haired.

Sharp blue eyes glowing with ancient synchronization energy.

And honestly?

Beautiful enough to make the entire room pause slightly.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

The woman calmly looked around the room.

Then her gaze stopped directly on Kaiser.

For several seconds—

she said nothing.

Just stared.

Honestly suspicious already.

Then finally—

"...So you’re the one who changed the Silence."

Kaiser blinked once.

"...Probably."

The silver-haired woman studied him carefully afterward.

Then unexpectedly smiled slightly.

Interesting reaction.

"I am Seraphina."

The synchronization rings behind her glowed softly.

"Acting leader of the remaining Watcher fleets."

Elena’s eyes narrowed imdiately.

"...Why are you here."

Seraphina’s gaze shifted toward her calmly.

"Because the galaxy just changed forever."

Then she looked back toward Kaiser again.

"And because..."

A small pause.

"...the Watchers wish to follow the Hero King."

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Kaiser stared blankly.

"...No."

Honestly imdiate rejection.

Seraphina blinked once.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Kaiser pointed toward himself tiredly.

"I’m not leading another civilization."

Too late probably.

Outside the palace—

millions of synchronization lanterns continued illuminating the galaxy while more and more worlds connected themselves to the Human Network willingly.

And slowly—

without Kaiser fully realizing it—

the Hero of First Light was becoming sothing far larger than a single world’s protector.
