"Saber!" Maid Alter shouted, dismounting from the white horse. "Catch!"
She slapped the horse's flank. The magnificent steed, Dun Stallion, galloped toward Saber.
Saber leaped. She vaulted onto the horse's back with the grace of a king. She grabbed the reins, her armor clanking as she settled into the saddle.
"Thank you, other !" Saber called out. "We fight together again, Dun Stallion!"
The horse snorted, tossing its mane. It wasn't a Divine Beast like Achilles' team. It was just a horse. But it was her horse. It carried the weight of a King, and for that honor, it would run until its heart burst.
Across the crater, Achilles grinned. He stood on his Gordius Wheel, his spear leveled at her.
"Finally!" Achilles roared. "A proper joust! Let's see whose legend is faster!"
He cracked the reins. His divine horses—Xanthus, Balius, and Pedasos—scread and charged.
Saber kicked Dun Stallion into a gallop.
They collided in the center of the ruins.
CLANG.
Spear t sword. The impact sent a shockwave through the ground that knocked Maverick off his feet.
They passed each other, turned, and charged again.
CLANG. CLANG.
It was a blur of motion. Green lightning versus blue wind. The sound was deafening—the thunder of hooves, the screech of tal, the roar of magic.
[Chat]:
[Hype_Train]: SLOW DOWN! I CAN'T SEE!

The viewer count on Maverick's stream ticked over 10 million.
The entire platform was lagging. Servers were lting. But no one left. They were witnessing history.
In the ga, the battle raged on.
Achilles was faster. His chariot could fly. He strafed Saber from the air, raining down spear thrusts. But Saber was relentless. She clung to him like a shark slling blood, her horse leaping over rubble, her sword parrying every blow.
But ti was running out.
Achilles' heel was bleeding heavily now. His spirit origin was cracking. As he swung his spear, his pinky finger dissolved into golden dust.
He stumbled. The chariot swerved.
"Damn it," Achilles growled, clutching his chest. "Not yet. I'm not done yet!"
On the ground, the Gar Girl saw it. She saw her hero fading.
She raised her hand. Her three Command Spells burned bright red.
"BY MY COMMAND SPELL!" she scread, tears streaming down her face. "RIDER! DO NOT LOSE!"
One seal vanished. Achilles felt a surge of mana patch his wounds.
"BY MY SECOND COMMAND SPELL!" she yelled. "ACHILLES! YOU MUST WIN!"
Another surge. Achilles straightened up, his power overflowing.
"AND BY MY FINAL COMMAND SPELL!" she roared. "TAKE THE GRAIL! RIDE TO VICTORY!"
Achilles laughed. It was a wild, joyous sound.
"You really are a willful Master!" he shouted. "Alright! Let's do this!"
He yanked the reins. The chariot shot straight up into the sky, wreathed in green fire. He was going for a dive bomb. A teor strike.
Saber tried to follow, but Dun Stallion faltered. The mortal horse couldn't keep up with divine beasts. It collapsed, its legs giving out.
"Thank you," Saber whispered, dismounting as the horse dissolved into light.
She stood alone in the crater. She looked up at the falling star that was Achilles.
"Master!" Saber shouted.
Maverick was already moving. He raised his hand. He had one Command Spell left—recharged from the Caster bounty.
"BY MY COMMAND SPELL!" Maverick bellowed. "ARTORIA! EXCALIBUR!"
Saber felt the power. Her sword began to glow.
"You hear that, Achilles?" Saber shouted at the sky. "I have my own stubborn Master! I will not lose!"
Achilles plumted toward her, his chariot burning like a cot.
"CO ON!" Achilles roared. "STAND IN MY WAY! MY CHARIOT WILL CRUSH YOU LIKE THE STARS!"
"TROIAS TRAGÕIDIA!"
Saber raised her sword. The light of the planet gathered in her hands.
"GATHERED HERE IS THE BREATH OF THE STARS!"
The beam rose to et the cot.
"SHINING HERE IS THE TORRENT OF LIFE!"
"EX—CALIBURRRRRRRR!"
BOOM.
Gold t Green.
The screen went white.
The sound cut out.
For ten seconds, there was nothing but blinding light. Then, silence.
The dust settled.
The crater was empty. No chariot. No sword.
Just two figures standing in the center.
Saber stood tall, her armor battered but intact.
Achilles stood opposite her. He was smiling. But his body was transparent. His legs were already gone.
"Heh," Achilles chuckled. "Fastest in the world... but not fast enough for the King."
He looked at the Gar Girl, who was sobbing on the edge of the crater.
"Don't cry, Master," Achilles said softly. "It was a good race."
He faded away.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION] [YOU HAVE ELIMINATED A SERVANT (ACHILLES)] [YOU HAVE ELIMINATED A MASTER (GAR GIRL)] [WINNER: MAVERICK]
Maverick stared at the screen. "I... I won?"
Saber turned to him. She sheathed her invisible sword.
"Victory is ours, Master."
Maverick collapsed. "gg."
