She spread her arms.
A teleportation magic circle appeared beneath Caelum’s feet and instantly transported him away.
What happened next was shocking.
"Phew."
After sending him off, the goddess’s expression imdiately collapsed. One hand on her hip, the other fanning herself, she looked completely annoyed.
Gone was any trace of divine elegance.
"This is so annoying!"
"They’re just going to die soon anyway. Why not send them all straight to the underworld and reincarnate them? Why make go through all this trouble?"
The more she spoke, the more irritated she beca. After a while, she cald down, then casually opened a betting pool on how long Caelum would survive.
As for saving the world?
What a joke.
Without darkness, there would be no light. Without suffering, there would be no need for gods.
"Co on, place your bets. I say this guy won’t last three years."
Several other goddesses walked out from deeper within the temple, all looking speechless. They silently judged her lack of dignity before placing their bets.

A massive rock crashed down not far from Caelum. Dirt splashed across his face. In the distance, the sound of battle roared as cavalry charged forward.
Caelum was startled.

He quickly found a slope and hid behind it. That damned goddess had dropped him straight onto a battlefield.
