As the ga continued, Sean and Mike kept bickering with each other.
Though it sounded like they were arguing, this was just their usual way of talking.
Most of the long-ti viewers in the livestream were already used to it.
That kind of vibe actually helped ease Sean's nerves a bit.
But as soon as he entered the dark and narrow basent, the relaxed mood vanished.
In earlier parts of the ga, there weren't many dark scenes.
But this basent was totally different.
Pitch black. Occasionally there were so lit spots, but even those were super dim—visibility was basically zero.
To see clearly, he had to use his handheld cara and rely on the night vision mode to find the way.
Even though Sean had ntally prepared himself and knew so scenes later in the ga would definitely need to be used,
now that the mont had actually co, he still felt a bit nervous.
"What the hell is this!"
"Turn on two air pumps and the main switch, restart the generator! What kind of task is this!"
Looking at the new mission that popped up, Sean felt a wave of despair rising in his heart.
The pitch-black basent was already oppressive enough, and now he had to wander through this maze-like, pitch-dark place to find the air pumps and then flip the generator switch?
Is this even sothing a normal person can do?
Why did I have to act tough? Why did I even choose to play a horror ga?
At that mont, Sean felt a bit of regret.
But what's said is said, like water spilled—it can't be taken back. And now, quitting wasn't an option either.
After all, if he hadn't said anything, fine. But once he had, unless he really couldn't win, he would never back down.
"Co on, co on, there's nothing to be afraid of!"
Sean hyped himself up and slowly started to explore the basent.
Trusting his instincts, he walked to the left, and not far ahead, he opened a door and saw an air pump inside.
In the dimly lit room, besides the pump switch, there was also a row of lockers.
"Nice, lucky !"
Seeing the pump in front of him, Sean felt a bit relieved.
That's one-third of the task done already!
anwhile, the chat was going wild.
'Sean, what kind of luck is this?'
'He already found one? I kinda wanted to see him panic a little longer.'
'Honestly, it's not that surprising. There were arrows on the walls earlier, Sean just didn't notice them.'
'You see the lockers next to him? I feel like that fat uncle from earlier might co in.'
'No way, right? That guy's so big, how would he even fit through the door?'
While reading the comnts, Sean also noticed the lockers next to him.
"So, I turn on this pump, and then a monster might show up? The locker's probably for hiding, huh?"
He looked at the pump switch in front of him, then at the locker nearby.
After thinking for a bit, Sean still decided to pull the switch. After all, if he didn't turn it on, the ga wouldn't move forward.
With a creaking sound, the switch was pulled down.
Sean quickly ducked into the locker.
After about ten seconds, he heard banging through his headphones.
*Thump!* *Thump!* *Thump!*
It hit the door several tis, followed by the sound of wood cracking, and then heavy footsteps started getting closer and closer to the room.
Hiding in the locker, Sean didn't turn off his cara. He leaned his head back against the locker wall and pulled his hoodie tighter.
Then, through the cara's night vision, he saw a crazy guy walk in, holding sothing like a spiked club.
Under the night vision, the guy looked incredibly twisted and terrifying.
The guy paced around the room. Judging by his movents, he twitched in a weird, random way, making him look super creepy.
Under the night vision, his wrinkled skin looked ghostly pale and distorted, and his eyes glowed like little lightbulbs, giving off a seriously disturbing vibe.
"Man, I'm a genius! Good thing I hid in the locker ahead of ti," Sean let out a breath and praised himself.
But in the next second, his heart jumped—because the monster actually started checking the lockers.
He could hear the monster opening one locker after another, and it scared Sean so much he didn't even dare to breathe.
Thankfully, the crazy monster only checked two lockers, muttered sothing, and then walked away.
"Damn it, this is getting more and more dangerous." Sean swallowed hard. His situation was clearly bad—he had to search for a switch in the dark and stay alert for a boss that could show up at any second.
After waiting for about ten seconds to make sure the boss wasn't coming back, Sean finally crawled out of the cabinet.
In the darkness, he noticed that right next to the air pump he had just turned on, there was a door with an arrow on it.
He opened it and looked inside. Just as he expected, there was another air pump.
The only difference was… this room didn't have a cabinet he could hide in.
"Damn it, what the hell am I supposed to do now?!"
Looking at the screen in front of him, Sean started to panic and glanced at the chat.
But since this was a brand-new horror ga, none of the viewers in the chat were really helpful. Most of the suggestions were obviously useless—or maybe they knew sothing but just weren't saying.
That's when his buddy sitting next to him, Mike, chid in.
"Co on, bro, this is easy."
"If there's a cabinet, that ans there's a monster. No cabinet ans no monster, right?"
"And when you enter and turn on the pump, just shut the door behind you. Won't the monster bang on the door if it's coming? That way, at least you'll be ntally prepared." Mike offered his advice while listening to cheerful music through his headphones.
As for why he was wearing headphones—it was because he was kind of scared too.
And since he couldn't hear the ga audio, he wasn't watching the main screen directly either. Instead, he looked at the side monitor showing the chat. That really helped reduce the fear.
"Now that you ntion it, that kinda makes sense…" Sean thought about it for a mont. It did sound a little logical.
But sothing still felt off—he just couldn't figure out what.
Still, with things getting more dangerous, he didn't spend too long thinking about it and decided to follow Mike's plan.
To be fair, it did sound like a decent idea.
