Now reading: Chapter 567: Is This How a Protagonist Should Be Treated?! from Game Maker: Starting by Healing the Players, a Adventure novel by GustinaKamiya.

In that mont, Ben was reminded of what Lucas said during the carnival direct eting back then, about changes.

Does this an Resident Evil: Village has added money and a shop system?

But as surprised as he was, Ben was also incredibly happy.

Because this might an he could buy bullets with money later.

It's important to know one thing: fear often cos from a lack of firepower.

In the previous Resident Evil ga, he was really scared at first. But later on, the scariest thing wasn't encountering monsters, but his inventory being full.

Now, this ga even has an economy system, does that an he can do whatever he wants?

Following normal logic, Ethan should be careful and cautious at this point.

Afraid of attracting the attention of the werewolves, but Ben had no such thoughts at this mont.

Seeing the open door, he went straight in to search to his heart's content. And Ben also noticed that the in-ga map was very convenient.

The map has three colors. Black ans unexplored, red ans there are still supplies to collect, and blue ans all supplies have been collected.

This suddenly made Ben feel like the whole ga's pace had changed.

Who cares about werewolves? I'll take them all down with my little pistol!

Houses? As long as I can get in, you won't have a single thing left!

Resident Evil: Village?

I, Ethan, am going to rob this village!

In one room, he even found a shotgun he had been dreaming of.

Although it was clear from its appearance that this shotgun was not the sa model as the unlucky old man from before, it was very effective.

Two shots were all it took to take down a werewolf.

And throughout the entire map, Ben found many sacks of flour and explosive barrels that could help Ethan deal with the monsters.

Additionally, after killing monsters, not only could he get money, but there was also a chance to get materials like gunpowder and parts.

Materials could be used to craft bullets, and most of the rooms in the small village that could be entered had so ammo available for looting.

Although there was still so shortage, not every monster needed to be fought.

Moreover, the sky in the ga was not completely dark, just a little dim, like cloudy or rainy weather.

This made Ben feel incredibly good.

Even with the snow-covered scenery and so crowded areas, there were still occasional scary werewolves appearing.

But compared to the previous Resident Evil, this new installnt, codenad Village, was simply much better.

"This experience is off the charts!" Ben chuckled, watching the werewolf villagers in the small settlent being taken down one by one by him.

These were all resources, he felt like he was playing a farming ga.

But soon, his happy mood disappeared because Ben felt sothing was not quite right.

That is, there seed to be more and more small monsters in the village!

And not just in number, but also in new types.

Werewolves on the roof with bows and arrows, shooting rockets.

Werewolves holding hamrs and machetes.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh…"

The sound of rockets passing through the air rang out, and rockets were shot towards Ben. Although their accuracy wasn't great, Ben realized sothing at that mont: if he kept fighting, he would eventually run out of ammo.

At that point, only death awaited him.

"See ya! Gotta run!"

Looking at the surrounding werewolves, Ben started to dodge like a snake, fleeing in the opposite direction.

Ben was almost crawling all the way. If it wasn't for the lowest difficulty, he suspected he would have been killed.

"Holy crap! What is that! White-haired Lion King!" Reaching a small path blocked by wooden stakes, he stared dumbfounded at a large figure approaching in the distance.

A large figure covered in white fur, holding a huge hamr, was incredibly imposing.

"No way? Are we starting a boss fight already? How do I beat this?" Ben looked at the white-haired lion king holding a sledgehamr in front of him, with no intention of fighting it at all, and turned to run in the opposite direction.

"Don't, don't, don't… stop chasing , that's enough!"

"Brother, I called your brother, can you stop chasing ?"

Along the way, Ben took a few hits from the werewolves, and his screen had already turned red, clearly indicating he was close to death.

But Ethan hadn't given up. At this mont, Ben was deeply imrsed in Ethan's role.

His daughter, Rose, was missing and waiting for him! How could he fall here?

This thought grew stronger and stronger!

Until… an arrow hit Ethan's thigh.

As he ran, the sound of an arrow cutting through the air rang out.

*Thwack!*

An arrow hit Ethan's thigh directly.

With a scream, Ethan, heavily wounded, fell to the ground with a thud.

Seeing this, the surrounding werewolves sward him. Just then, a thunderous roar echoed.

The white-haired lion king who was holding the sledgehamr earlier jumped down from the roof. Seeing the white-haired lion king, the ordinary werewolves around him also parted, clearly showing that this guy was their boss.

The giant-like white-haired lion king walked up to Ethan, its massive body blocking out the light.

As the white-haired lion king approached, a neighing sound ca from the distance, and two werewolves riding warhorses galloped towards them.

Just as Ben was worried about Ethan's fate, suddenly a bell chid from the distance.

The white-haired lion king, who was about to finish off Ethan, and the other werewolves turned their heads towards the direction of the bell. Then, ignoring Ethan on the ground, they imdiately sped off towards the sound of the bell, as if soone was calling them.

Regardless, Ethan had at least saved his life. He pulled the arrow out of his thigh and simply bandaged the wound with a cloth.

As he got up from the ground, Ethan caught a glimpse of a staggering figure appearing around a distant corner.

A person!?

There was still soone in this strange village!?

And this wasn't the place from the radio earlier!

Ethan quickly got up and limped towards that direction.

"This is too miserable!"

"They're really not treating Ethan like a person!"

"Is this the treatnt a protagonist should receive? Which protagonist has it as bad as Ethan?"

Ben couldn't help but feel indignant for Ethan.

Thinking about other characters from Nebula Gas.

Even the characters who sacrificed themselves, were any of them as miserable as Ethan?

It hadn't even been an hour yet!

His wife died, his child was lost, he lost two fingers, and his thigh was shot by an arrow. Who knows what else awaits him later!
