Westheid said with a smile,

"Isn’t Mivana a Knight of Chivalry? I’m more inclined to trust a Knight of Chivalry with high moral character. Besides, I think she’s ridiculously strong. I’m not being picky right now; anyone who can help us fight Chaos is welco."

"Using Chaos to fight Chaos? That’s just insane..."

Rafati wanted to say more, but he tried to see things from Westheid’s perspective. To reclaim his holand, Westheid was probably getting desperate. For once, the hot-tempered Yonglan Knight softened his tone and said,

"That woman is indeed very strong, but her power absolutely does not co from the Knight Path! Inviting her to join is just fighting poison with poison, Duke Qinghui. Although as an outsider I have no right to interfere with your decision, take this as a friend’s advice... Don’t get too close to her. She’s a complete monster."

Westheid stroked his chin. "That’s really strange. If Mivana is really a monster, how did she leave the Country of Yonglan safely, and how is she able to carry a Silver Sword inherited from a Grand Knight?"

"Lord Rafati, what you’re saying seems to contradict the facts."

"I..."

Rafati was at a loss for words.

"If Mivana can carry a Grand Knight’s Silver Sword so openly, it ans she received it through a proper line of succession. And for a Grand Knight to hand over their Silver Sword, it ans they were approaching death. The fall of a Grand Knight isn’t exactly a rare event for the Country of Yonglan, but for one to pass without any obituary... as far as I can recall, there has only been one."

Westheid’s reasoning pressed forward relentlessly, making the Yonglan Knights before him almost hold their breath.

’The Star Lake Sword... There hasn’t been any news about her in a long ti.’

After his conversation with Mivana, Westheid had been constantly thinking about who her teacher could be. After wracking his brain and looking up so information, he finally had a solid guess.

Hearing this, Rafati scratched his pale silver hair, grimaced, and after a long mont, sighed.

"We never talk about this with outsiders. You really know a lot about the Country of Yonglan. Who told you?"

Westheid replied, "That’s a secret."

"It must have been another Grand Knight, I suppose. Well, since you already know, Duke Qinghui, I won’t hide it from you... That’s right. Mivana’s teacher was Lady Viona, the Star Lake Sword."

"She inherited the Silver Sword from Lady Viona, even though she’s the one who caused her teacher’s death. But because of the Grand Knight’s will, all we could do was exile her."

Rafati said through gritted teeth, "Lady Star Lake Sword... she was the one most likely to beco the next Knight King. A Grand Knight whom even my teacher, Uther, admired. But she ended up torturing herself half to death trying to protect that Beastman, only to finally die on her sickbed. It’s... an unforgivable disgrace!"

For a Yonglan Knight, a Knight’s destiny was to die on the battlefield. To pass away pathetically on a sickbed was a profound insult, not to ntion missing out on the glory of becoming the Knight King because of it.

Rafati was not a disciple of the Star Lake Sword, but as a fellow mber of the Yonglan People, just imagining the situation made his blood boil. He was indignant on the respected Grand Knight’s behalf.

"I believe a Knight of Chivalry has her own reasons for doing things."

"The Path of Chivalry... I can’t quite accept it. In any case, Duke Qinghui, it’s best you don’t treat Mivana as a normal person. I’m not discriminating against her because she’s a Beastman. It’s that she herself is a ticking ti bomb. How can you use one bomb to destroy another?"

Rafati was clearly a traditionalist, a fundantalist who couldn’t understand the ideals of the reformist Knights of Chivalry. Seeing that Westheid remained unmoved, he added with a frown,

Westheid was noncommittal, simply waving goodbye.

"I will consider it carefully."

Then he turned and left.

Back in the carriage, Yolanda put down the heavy Magic To and asked her brother,

"Was what that Yonglan Knight said true? Is Miss Mivana... connected to Chaos?"

Westheid raised an eyebrow. "You could say she is."

The Heaven-Devouring Wave’s Tier T0 Talent did indeed originate from Chaos; there was no denying it. Chaos was the great enemy of all Order Creatures, a na that made people’s faces pale at its re ntion, so there was no point in hiding the fact.

"If there’s truly such a hidden danger, Brother, perhaps you should reconsider."

Yolanda said gravely.

Westheid, however, remained quite optimistic. He understood Mivana’s dangerous nature better than anyone, but... ’What can I do? The mont I saw that Tier T0 Talent, I was willing to risk my life, never mind my sanity.’

"What are you worried about? Don’t worry. Compared to the potential gains, this bit of risk is completely worth taking."

"Rember to send a letter to the inn where Mivana is staying later. We’re setting off at the end of this month."

..........

The following days passed in a flash. Westheid rushed all over the place, and with Rozana and Yolanda’s help, he finally completed the preparations for departure by the end of the month.

It was only because the Yuanshi Territory’s financial might was so astonishing, and the influence of the Branch of Prosperity so effective, that they were able to pull the necessary strings and gather the supplies so quickly.

On the morning of the last day of the Month of Flowers, his Floating Battleship finally arrived at the Imperial Capital Airport.

The Imperial Capital Airport was located in the northwestern suburbs. It took several hours to drive there from the inner ring of the Imperial Capital, even using the special access ways. Built on a high plateau in the middle of a vast, open plain, the airport was a magnificent, breathtaking structure.

Jade-white structures rose layer upon layer, like a series of advancing steps, forming the vast airport area.

The warehouse, residential, docking, and rest areas were all fully equipped, giving it the scale of a small town.

But it wasn’t these perfectly neat, almost assembly-line-produced buildings that most captured a first-ti visitor’s attention. Anyone arriving at the Imperial Capital Airport for the first ti would have their gaze inevitably drawn to the Star Gate suspended in mid-air.

Countless overlapping and intertwined tal rings were nested together, rotating in a regular pattern. In the very center of the rings, a curtain of light that had been pulled taut refracted a seven-colored, glass-like radiance.

Like a blazing sun hanging high in the sky.

The Empire was simply too vast. The territories swallowed during the Great Expedition era had not been fully developed at all. Between one major city and the next lay great expanses of wilderness, forests, and treacherous mountain ranges awaiting developnt.

To traverse the vast Imperial territories by ordinary foot or vehicle would take years, even decades.

However, by traveling between Star Gates with a Floating Battleship, this ti was drastically reduced. Any cities connected by Star Gates could be reached quickly.

At that mont,

From within the curtain of light, a streamlined battleship was slowly erging. Its hundred-ter-long hull shimred with an illusory ripple of light. Only after the entire Floating Battleship had fully erged did the illusion covering its hull gradually fade away, as if a veil was being lifted.

The exterior of the long, narrow, oval-shaped Floating Battleship was covered in gleaming pale white and Gold armor, outlined with graceful lines. And upon its hull, there were dozens of "sails."

They were nearly transparent Secret Technique Sails. The freely extending sail-wings enveloped the Floating Battleship like a barrier, driven by absorbing Magic Power from the Power Furnace and the ambient atmosphere. When necessary, they could also be used as shields and turrets.

An astonishing beauty, like a steel behemoth floating in the sky.

Yolanda imdiately pointed at the slowly descending vessel and said, "Brother, that’s the ’Blazing Fla’-class Floating Battleship we reserved."

Westheid nodded and couldn’t help but praise it.

"It’s truly beautiful. I have to say, the war machines of the Celestial Vault Kingdom are certainly a sight to behold."
