From the very beginning, Westheid had no intention of winning through conventional warfare. For that matter, no one could say for sure what conventional warfare even looked like in this world.

People could engage in back-and-forth conflicts, deploying troops, countering stratagems, and planning from afar, but all of this operated on one absolute premise: the absence of a Powerhouse capable of single-handedly changing the course of a battle.

Full-scale wars had never broken out between the Realms of Order. It wasn’t because everyone was so peaceful and amicable, but because such wars were aningless.

The disparity in national strength was irrelevant. The Celestial Vault Kingdom was universally acknowledged as the strongest Realm of Order, capable of crushing all others in terms of conventional military might. But as long as the Venerable Master of the Azure Heaven didn’t personally rip the heads off the Radiant Holy Tree, Emperor Qianlu, and the Yonglan Riding God, a war simply couldn’t happen.

When ultimate power resides within the individual, one person can outweigh all the others in a war combined. Even in internal disputes within the Imperial court, nobles with their own domains preferred to resolve conflicts through duels, bypassing the Prosperity Law.

To achieve the feat of single-handedly turning the tide of battle, the minimum requirent was to be a High-tier Transcendent—the Hero Tier.

A Hero Tier Transcendent was considered high-ranking and influential even in a Realm of Order. A general commanding an entire region was nothing more.

Coincidentally, on this very Floating Battleship, there were three Hero-Tier Powerhouses. Each possessed unique skills, each had astonishing stamina, and their Tier T0 Talents would bring you a whole different kind of surprise.

The Floating Battleship shot straight over the combat zone, heading for the airspace above the Gate of Chaos. The Chaos Demon Army, noticing its trajectory, imdiately returned fire. Countless points of light, so hazy, so sharp, streaked toward it.

However, the Ascension Ceremony was an insurmountable barrier for them. All the crimson projectiles slowed to a crawl the mont they neared the battleship’s shield, finally freezing in the upper atmosphere. They seed close enough to touch, yet they could never reach, falling back down powerlessly. The occasional stray shot that managed to break through this barrier only created a harmless splash against the shield, causing not so much as a ripple.

Why was it that only Floating Battleships from the Celestial Vault Kingdom were worth getting?

It was because only the unique technology of the Celestial Vault People could create a true Floating Battleship. Otherwise, they were just flying iron coffins.

The Ascension Ceremony ensured that any being mired in the filth of the earth could never touch the clear heavens above.

Even for normal projectiles of Order fired from the ground, at least sixty to seventy percent would be rendered ineffective. As for the Chaos Creatures, the very symbols of the "filthy earth," they were countered into oblivion. Without high-level Chaos Hundred Forms, ordinary Chaos Creatures, no matter how nurous, could do nothing but take a one-sided beating.

Such was the supre advantage of air superiority!

Thus, the Floating Battleship could plunge deep into enemy lines despite its fragile armor, unleashing its full firepower. Countless condensed bolts of light fell like a torrential downpour. Wherever the Radiance-class battleship passed, it left a trail of utter devastation.

But even with this bombardnt, as relentless as a flood, the sea-like tide of Demons showed no signs of abating. The vortex of the Gate of Chaos grew more violent, and the Chaos Hundred Forms began to manifest within it.

Seeing this, Westheid took up Shadow-Born, walked out onto the battleship’s deck, and turned to the others.

"We’re killing them too slowly. At this rate, the Devourer will never show itself. I’m going to jump down. Are you two coming with ?"

Reiya imdiately asked, "Is that a bottomless abyss down there?"

"Hmm? Of course not. I’m not planning on killing myself just yet."

"Even if it were, I would follow you."

The Silver-haired Dragon Lady wrapped the left side of her shawl around her arm, a smile playing on her exquisite, sternly beautiful face.

Her tone, however, was utterly resolute:

"Westheid, pursue whatever you are passionate about. No matter what lies ahead, I will follow you without hesitation. In this life and for all eternity, until death do us part."

’Seriously? You had to make that dramatic too?’

Mivana bit open her own wrist with a sharp canine tooth and held it out to Westheid.

"Teacher, blood of my blood... I swear by it. Until my blood runs dry, my life is in your hands."

’All right, fine. We’re all playing this ga, are we?’

Westheid let out a resigned laugh.

"Since you’ve both entrusted your lives to , I’ll use them as I see fit. But rest assured—not even death can tear us apart!"

’The only way to deal with this level of drama is to be just as dramatic right back!’

’I’ve had enough of this. It’s just a contest to see who’s more unhinged, isn’t it?!’

Duke Qinghui leaped from the battleship.

"BOOM—"

"BOOM—"

"BOOM—"

Three bursts of acceleration, each one breaking the sound barrier. There were no Techniques or special skills involved—it was accomplished purely through the beautiful statistics of the Hero Tier.

"DOOM—"

The piercing sonic boom arrived a mont after he did. The fire of the Fla of Extinction surged and roared. Westheid had a great fondness for making a hero’s landing. The Chaos Creatures at the point of impact were instantly obliterated by the terrifying shockwave, while those further away were consud by the ensuing wave of fire.

Reiya followed close behind, landing in a flash of cyan Dragon Thunder. The extre brilliance lit up the crimson sky, scouring the Chaos Demon Army from the hills. The ravenous Dragon Thunder devoured all matter it touched.

Mivana, not to be outdone, completed the process of unleashing her curse mid-descent. As the wolf-eared maiden grew more adept, she could even maintain enough of her sanity to control the power of her bloodline.

The instant she landed, a deafening, hoarse wolf’s howl echoed as a colossal Chaos Creature was cleaved in two.

After landing one by one, the three of them advanced toward the Gate of Chaos without a word.

These three terrifying, demon-like figures all possessed top-tier stats that defied asurent by Tier, as well as near-immortal stamina. Whether it was the purifying power of the Fla of Extinction, the destructive authority of the Pure Dragon Thunder, or the unnatural killing power of the Cursed Source Blood, they all made the vaunted resilience of the Chaos Demon Army seem utterly laughable.

On his own, Westheid could largely ignore a regular Demon Tide, moving through it as freely as a Wandering Dragon. And now he had two teammates who were in no way weaker than him.

To an uninford observer, the scene of them wreaking havoc upon the Chaos Tide would make them seem like they were all of the Legend Tier.

Just as they covered a vast distance and were about to reach the altar before the Gate of Chaos, a fierce wind surged from behind the Demon Tide. The air instantly grew viscous and foul. Westheid coughed twice as he heard an incredibly grating, hoarse laugh.

"The authority of another Celestial Father... Heh heh... AHAHAHAHAHA! You really do flatter !"

Westheid stared at the Devourer’s silhouette and snarled, "You damned turtle... Finally decided to stick your head out."

The Dirt World Desolate God’s voice droned, "If I didn’t show myself, I’m afraid you would have destroyed the reinforcents I went to such trouble to request from the Mother of Chaos. I simply can’t allow that to happen."

"You requested them? I have my doubts."

Westheid charged to the forefront. Once his teammates were with him, he yelled:

"Reiya, Mivana! There’s no need for chivalry or codes of honor against a fiend like this! Let’s jump him together!"
