'So it was a Title effect...'

By this point, Chen Bingwen finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It appeared to be so sort of Title ability capable of concealing one's identity.

He had initially assud this person was the transfer student who led them into the dead end... or perhaps so NPC that absolutely had to be voted out, or conversely, protected at all costs.

Since he could confirm this was also a player, things were much simpler.

Right at that mont, the girl suddenly turned to Ming Po and asked, "Have you guys seen that transfer student? The one calling herself Zhang Leyao!"

"We ran into her as well."

Ming Po nodded, answering with calm composure.

"She is clearly deeply connected to this incident, otherwise, not everyone would have encountered her. Right now, we need to consider a few scenarios: First, is she the 'protagonist' whose desk was carved with words? What role exactly did she play in this whole affair?

"Second, it was rely an instance of cheating on an exam. How did it escalate to such a massive scale? Even if it was collective cheating, it shouldn't have reached the point of an actual haunting. What exactly happened afterward?

"Third, what is the deal with that security guard? And what is the situation with that little girl?

"These are all questions we need to figure out."

As Ming Po spoke, he looked toward the Lucky Escapee. "There is one more question, Little Fan—

"If our previous experiences were identical, then we actually don't have much information to exchange. So, after reaching the dead end and before entering this place... did you experience any hallucinations?"

'Here it cos!'

Hearing this, Chen Bingwen instantly tensed up. But the Lucky Escapee gave him an answer he absolutely did not want to hear.

"I found myself in a place that looked like a staff faculty office."

Gao Fan analyzed the situation earnestly.

"I saw the teachers arguing fiercely over sothing... They looked like massive, looming shadows, and I couldn't physically touch them. They also appeared terrified. I used the desks to block their line of sight, navigating around everyone walking by and dodging their fields of vision until I finally managed to escape.

"While I was listening to their conversation, I gathered a rough idea of the situation...

"It seems that in Class 13 of the second year, an unprecedented mass cheating incident occurred, the likes of which had never been seen since the school's founding. The entire class participated in the cheating, and it likely happened more than once. 'Only Yaoyao is clean.'

"Because of that, I believe... perhaps the transfer student, Zhang Leyao, was the one who exposed the cheating."

He paused, looking toward Ming Po with a hint of uncertainty. "What do you think, Big Brother Xiao?"

"I found a different piece of information. When pieced together with yours... the truth of the matter becos quite clear."

Ming Po shook his head slightly.

"I found myself in a girl's bedroom. In front of was a laptop with a startup password.

"I searched the room and found a small safe, but I couldn't find any potential passwords.

"I tried entering a few combinations and luckily managed to get the safe open.

"The password was 2048. That was the classroom door number the previous 'Zhang Leyao' ntioned. Because there was a map in the office, I noticed the teaching building only had four floors. Not only were there fewer than 48 classrooms per floor, but the classrooms didn't even have door numbers to begin with—the signs hanging above the doors only indicated the class na.

"Inside the safe, I found Zhang Leyao's dical records and a certificate for a leave of absence, along with a USB flash drive. She suffered from severe depression and had taken a year off school after being bullied at another institution..."

Ming Po recounted his experience.

At the ti, when Ming Po opened the safe, he let out a sound of confusion.

"Hmm... what is this?"

It turned out Ming Po coincidentally owned that exact sa USB drive. It was a limited-edition piece of rchandise included in the first-release collector's edition of the ga Chinese Paladin 5.

It looked like an ancient sword, hand-forged from pure copper, with the logo for "Chinese Paladin 5" engraved on it.

That placed the tiline around the year 2011.

And Ming Po rembered that there had been a carving on the desk earlier that read "November 11, 2011".

This indicated that the cheating incident happened at least after November 2011, but not too long after.

Ming Po had attempted to unlock the laptop using various passwords. By testing passwords based on suspected "clues," he managed to crack it on only his fourth try.

—The password was "yaoyao".

This really wasn't a matter of Ming Po being lucky.

It was because the designer of this instance had done an excellent job with the guidance.

From the very beginning, the jump scare of the ghostly little girl leaving bloody handprints served as a prompt to highlight the detail of the single drafty window. This told Ming Po that the person who designed this instance was highly likely a real ga designer in life.

He possessed a very clear design philosophy, which ant almost none of the provided information was useless. In other words, he simply needed to look for the "most out-of-place things" to find the clues.

The thought process of a smart person was actually much easier to predict than that of a fool.

This was precisely why Ming Po had attacked the security guard.

It wasn't to show off his violence or to intimidate Chen Bingwen... though, naturally, that was probably part of the reason.

But the real reason was that when Ming Po saw the second security guard, he realized—this guard was actually a mandatory boss, with "one assigned to each person."

If everyone's encounter involved a security guard with the exact sa appearance, then there had to be a deeper aning behind it. Either this guard was deeply involved in the incident, or he carried so crucial item.

Since Ming Po's own assigned guard had been locked securely inside the classroom, he could only use Chen Bingwen's guard to run his experint.

That security guard had been dripping with fresh blood, his limbs twisted, sporting only a single bulging eyeball. Sure enough, the mont that eyeball—which looked like white jade—was gouged out, the guard imdiately dissipated.

This further solidified Ming Po's deduction—

Every piece of information definitely had a purpose.

Since this safe contained Zhang Leyao's personal belongings, it was highly likely that the computer belonged to her as well.

Ming Po had inputted "111111", "zhangleyao", and "leyao" as passwords... and on the fourth attempt, it opened.

He didn't even have to wait for the five-error cooldown!

After opening the computer, Ming Po didn't find any useful information directly on it, so he simply plugged the USB drive in.

Although navigating the laptop without a mouse was difficult, Ming Po still managed to find extrely important information on the drive.

Ming Po addressed the other three: "The files in that USB drive were a ss. However, there were only three files with a modification date after November 11, 2011.

"One was Zhang Leyao's personal profile... This was likely put there so that players who didn't realize 'this is her stuff' would figure it out.

"Another was a diary. I won't recite the contents of the diary to you... The most important detail was that she was frad by the entire class.

"And the third one..."

Ming Po paused for a mont: "It was a PDF file... titled 'Simple Black Magic'. The contents inside seed recently created; it wasn't so ancient PDF docunt.

"And her final reading history automatically jumped to a specific ritual.

"It was a ritual to sacrifice oneself, summon a Wangliang, and exact revenge."

Having said this, Ming Po turned his gaze toward Chen Bingwen. "As it stands, it seems everyone was shown different information. I'm afraid we'll need to piece together the instances of all four players to assemble the full truth of this series of events and find the real mastermind behind the scenes.

"You two should speak up as well... What did you see at the ti?"

...I-I have to speak too?

Hearing this, Chen Bingwen's heart practically stopped.

He couldn't possibly say what he had seen!
