"Sixty seconds..."

The corners of Ming Po's mouth curled up slightly.

When Lin Ya called out that number, he already knew it was a lie.

She simply lacked the courage to wager sixty seconds, nor was it possible for her to calculate the optimal solution in such a short amount of ti.

Ink made them start betting imdiately after hearing the rules, forcing them to complete every subsequent bet within a strict ti limit. The purpose was clear: to deprive them of any extra ti to think.

The most crucial elent of this ga was ti!

Unless soone could deduce the optimal solution within seconds of hearing the rules for the first ti, their initial wagers were entirely instinctual.

In a sense, this ga was a psychological test. It pushed people to their absolute limits using the threat of death, then evaluated their Wisdom, personality, trust in others, and decision-making tendencies under extre pressure.

Could they quickly understand their objectives? Could they predict the choices of others based on brief, prior interactions? In such monts, did they lean towards killing their competitors, or simply protecting themselves? Did they want to seize the initiative, or play it safe with a middle-ground approach?

And once the ga truly began, ti instantly beca even more scarce!

Understanding the rules took ti. Silently counting the seconds took ti. Calculating the bets of others took ti. Devising a strategy for the next round took ti.

'If only I had more ti,' or 'If only I could pause ti...' Deceivers of the World who survived this ga would undoubtedly gain a profound understanding of this truth, realizing the true value of Ti Chips.

'Is this the ga designed by Wei Gu Qiong Chen?'

Ming Po felt increasingly certain that this Wei Gu Qiong Chen might actually be him.

This line of thinking was remarkably similar to his own.

And precisely for this reason, Ming Po knew Lin Ya wouldn't dare choose sixty seconds.

She was clever and always tried to seize control, even willing to take certain risks to achieve it. It was exactly like how she initially tried to rope in Ming Po, despite suspecting he had just murdered soone.

She had failed in the previous ga due to a lack of control, and her frustration had been obvious. Now, she definitely wanted to take the initiative first. Therefore, she would bet high.

But at the sa ti, deep down, she feared the strong.

She didn't dare clash directly with a powerful opponent, nor did she dare place her fate entirely on the gambling table. Just like how she didn't dare form a direct alliance with Ming Po because she couldn't be sure if she would be targeted as a result. She would never commit to a path with no return; she always left herself a way out.

She might take a step back and bet fifty-nine seconds, or maybe fifty-eight seconds, or even less. However, she absolutely wouldn't dare bet the full sixty seconds.

Because that would an she had no way out.

However, Ming Po did not expose Lin Ya's lie.

She still had room to argue; she could simply claim she was trying to deceive the others.

Ming Po's preceding player was the opposing Protector.

If Protector decided to kill Ming Po, he would try to coordinate with Monkey to set up a fifty-nine-second instant explosion.

In that case, the one who ended up blown to pieces would be Protector himself.

But looking at it from another angle, whether it was Ming Po or Protector who died, Lin Ya would profit massively. At the very least, she would survive safely and still reap the rewards.

Because Ming Po, as her teammate and preceding player, couldn't set an instant explosion to kill her.

If Ming Po wanted to precisely ti the explosion to kill her, he would need Lin Ya's count to know the exact ti, allowing her to easily counter him. If he sought help from the opposing team, they could simply give him a false count to get him killed.

Therefore, Ming Po planned to wait until the bomb fell into his hands before taking action.

Until then, he intended to remain silent.

However, what neither Ming Po nor Lin Ya expected was...

Click.

The sound of a button being pressed echoed out.

The rhythmic beeping of the tir abruptly stopped.

"The dealer is Monkey."

The Host's voice rang out simultaneously.

The other three looked up at the sa ti, staring at Monkey in shock.

Even the Host didn't urge Monkey to restart the tir imdiately, instead looking at the bowing figure with intense interest.

This was an entirely illogical action.

Even if Lin Ya had actually set the shortest possible ti, it would still be a full sixty seconds!

Monkey had pressed the button the mont it reached his hands. Less than five seconds had passed.

This ant that Monkey's remaining ti had increased by at least fifty seconds!

anwhile, his own Absolute Safety Period was far too low, having only consud fifteen seconds in the previous round.

If he couldn't blow up anyone else, it ant he was almost guaranteed to end up in last place!

"What are you doing?!"

Protector roared furiously. "Why would you do that?!"

If his hands weren't bound, he would have slamd them on the table in a rage.

"I'm quite curious myself," the Host interjected. "Co on, I'll give you a bit of ti to explain."

"Uncle, you just used up twenty-three seconds, right?"

Monkey looked up at Protector.

In his timid, bewildered, and bloodshot eyes, Ming Po saw a glimr of resolve.

Monkey took a deep breath and said, "I used fifteen seconds in the first round, so your wagered ti should be under thirty-eight seconds. That ans you have at most seventy-five seconds left."

"What are you trying to do, Monkey?!"

Protector clenched his fists, his plump face flushing red. "I don't need you ddling in my business! Just focus on playing your own ga!"

He had already realized what Monkey was planning to do.

"Uncle!"

Monkey's voice suddenly rose.

He stared at the fat man, his voice cracking. "How are we supposed to win?! One is the dealer, the other is an expert, and they even know each other!"

"They're already fucking cooperating, Uncle! We can't win!"

Perhaps that wasn't entirely true.

Protector's lips moved, but he swallowed the words.

He looked at Monkey and fell silent.

"Uncle, you saved once in the last ga."

Monkey spoke earnestly, emphasizing every word. "I, Liu... I, Monkey, am not an ungrateful person."

"Now it's my turn to repay you, Uncle. You leave first. I'll take them on."

"If you do this..."

Protector closed his eyes in anguish. "If you do this... what's the difference between this and one of us losing?"

"There is."

Monkey's face turned bright red as he shouted, "There definitely is!"

"How could there not be?! How could there be no difference between losing and dying?! How could there be no difference between you and ?!"

"What were you thinking when you saved in the last ga, Uncle?!"

"I didn't know you, and they didn't know you either! What's the difference between falling down and them falling down?!"

"I just..."

Protector muttered softly, "Because you didn't fall right away. Because you... you asked for help."

"I asked you for help, and you pulled up! That's why you are the Protector!"

Monkey's face was as red as a baboon's ass. It wasn't just from excitent and agitation; there was also tension and fear.

But even so, he didn't waver.

"I'm setting the tir for eighty seconds, Uncle! I'll send you out of here first!"

Without waiting for the Host to urge him, Monkey inputted the number directly and clicked 'Confirm'.

As the beeping sound began in front of him, Protector closed his eyes.

Monkey had saved him, but he couldn't even save Monkey in return.

Because he was the player after Monkey, and the player after him was Frankenstein.

This was a ga where only the preceding player could save the next player.

'So that's why... teammates aren't seated across from each other like in mahjong or cards, but sequentially?'

The fat man had a sudden mont of clarity.

He felt his eyes growing moist.

But with both of his hands clamped down, he didn't even have the ability to wipe his tears.

'Like this... if I can't hold back my tears, how am I supposed to clearly see the ti above my teammate's head?'

This thought flashed through Protector's mind.
