Ming Po jamd the screwdriver into the crack, gripped the hamr, and smashed it against the screwdriver's handle.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

With every strike, the screwdriver drove a fraction deeper and the crack widened. He would then slightly adjust the screwdriver's position and swing the hamr again with force.

Ming Po was incredibly patient.

He hamred continuously for over a minute, finally smashing three intersecting cracks across the bottom of the drawer.

Since three sides were already breached, there was no need to hamr the final one.

He reached out and forcefully tore the wood panel away. Amidst a teeth-setting splintering screech, Ming Po ripped the wooden bottom of the desk drawer right off!

He really couldn't open the lock—it was abnormally sturdy, clearly designed to thwart this exact kind of tampering.

But as the saying goes:

When a door is impossibly solid and absolutely cannot be broken through, the wall next to it becos the door.

"Hmph."

Ming Po sneered. "Just as I thought."

There was only one thing inside the drawer.

It was a room card.

Barring any surprises, this had to be the master card. The card that could open all the rooms.

He stood up, patted the wood chips off his clothes, and held the room card up to the cara lens.

"Rember to remind him that there's a room card in the security room. If he wants to head upstairs, this should be essential."

Ming Po said simply, securely tucking the room card into his pocket.

He couldn't be bothered to put the desk back together; he even turned the cara around in a showy manner, letting the viewers see the desk he had ruined.

Ming Po dropped the hamr and screwdriver into his shoulder bag, slowly chewing his gum, and readjusted the cara to leave.

However, the instant Ming Po was about to step out the door—

"Haaa—"

A hoarse exhalation hissed from his left.

The wooden monkey statue by the entrance had, at so point, turned into a real monkey.

No—it didn't seem to be a truly living creature.

Its pupils were a vivid scarlet, its claws as sharp as knives. It slowly stood up, opening its mouth in a nacing display.

Its mouth was far larger than a normal monkey's, lined with exceptionally sharp, jagged teeth.

"Smack."

Ming Po didn't hesitate in the slightest; his right hand delivered a vicious slap right across its face.

The cara lens captured with pristine clarity the mont the monkey's ferocious expression dissolved into pure bewildernt.

It retracted its vicious look slightly, its mouth hanging agape.

It stared at Ming Po in sheer disbelief.

The force was just right; enough to bewilder, but not enough to cause brain damage.

"You still dare to look?"

Ming Po showed no trace of fear.

The deep blue of his pupils was even brighter than the scarlet in the monkey's eyes, and his expression was far more savage than the "monkey" itself!

He delivered an even more ruthless slap. The monkey's head, taking its body along with it, spun a full one hundred and eighty degrees before slamming into the wall with a loud thud.

It widened its eyes in disbelief, instantly enraged, and beca even more ferocious.

It suddenly lunged at Ming Po, its razor-sharp, hook-like claws—black as iron pincers—slashing toward his eyes—

Its goal was clearly to rip out Ming Po's eyes!

Yet, it couldn't even manage to knock off his glasses.

Because the instant it leapt into the air, Ming Po thrust out his right hand with absolute precision, bypassing its sharp claws and backhanding it by the throat!

Its arms were, in the end, simply not as long as Ming Po's.

His outstretched arm steadily absorbed the impact of the "monkey's" charge, causing its body to freeze in mid-air for a split second.

Before it could redirect its claws to scratch at his arm, Ming Po viciously slamd it into the ground, forcing a shrill, infant-like shriek from the creature.

Ming Po's right leg lashed out like a whip, slicing instantly toward its head!

The rushing wind cut like a blade!

Accompanied by a piercing monkey screech, it instantly vanished into thin air. It left behind only a puddle of foul blood on the floor that looked as though it had been there for ages. The bloodstains were already dry, yet there had clearly been nothing there before.

—But Ming Po didn't feel the physical impact of kicking anything.

That thing had disappeared right before his kick connected.

Ming Po snorted coldly, pushed up his glasses, and his expression returned to a calm composure.

The elevator was definitely out of commission; he would just walk up to the second floor.

anwhile, on the other side.

Ai Shiping had no idea how far he had run—but his lungs were burning, his legs ached, and his throat kept welling up with sothing like phlegm. It was terribly dry.

He had originally wanted to swallow it down, but the stuff kept surging up. Yet, he didn't dare go into a restroom to spit it out again.

So, in the end, he could only quietly spit it out in the hallway.

Ai Shiping hadn't gone outside in a very long ti; his physical stamina was truly lacking.

"This is—"

Right then, his eyes suddenly lit up.

Because he clearly saw what looked like a restaurant up ahead!

Behind the restaurant's counter, many bottles of alcohol were displayed. Over in the corner, there were unopened drinks and bottled water.

—If the tap water was contaminated, these should be fine!

Ai Shiping rushed over, taking the distance in long strides, and tore open the clear plastic wrapping.

He took out a bottle of clear water and carefully twisted the cap off.

He inspected it thoroughly for a good while before taking a small sip.

Feeling the water soothe his throat, Ai Shiping was on the verge of tears.

This was water! Real water!

Clear, cold, drinkable water! Not that black, putrid, mysterious liquid spewing from the faucets!

"Brothers, I'm alive again."

Ai Shiping announced, "There's water here, Cola, Sprite—at least I won't die right now. I can survive for at least three days on this stuff!"

He didn't have a bag on him, so he could only try to drink his fill in one go.

He stuffed a bottle of Cola into his jacket pocket and grabbed another unopened bottle of water with his right hand.

After drinking the water, Ai Shiping's mind settled down significantly.

"Co on, brothers, look over here. This should be where that little girl choked to death. But if you ask , the parents should take at least half the bla. You have to watch your own kids. You can't let them eat things they aren't supposed to eat—"

He strolled over leisurely, letting his phone cara ticulously capture every detail, dividing his attention between watching his surroundings and softly chatting with his stream.

"Oh? There's a map? Thank you—"

—Creak.

Suddenly, the door leading to the restroom inside the restaurant slowly opened.

Like so sort of silent invitation.

"—Why is it the restroom again?"

Ai Shiping couldn't help but lower his voice to complain. "If this keeps up, I'm really going to develop a phobia of restrooms... Brothers, what do you think, should I go over and take a look?"

Unable to suppress his inner curiosity, he asked the chat.

The "go" and "don't go" ssages were split about fifty-fifty.

But as the saying goes, when you flip a coin, you already know what you want in your heart.

Even so, though—

Ai Shiping still shalessly shifted the responsibility onto his viewers: "You guys are the ones telling to go look—you have to take responsibility for this—"

Saying this, he dawdled as he crept over.

He carefully scouted the n's restroom first, finding nothing out of the ordinary this ti.

"Brothers, should we hit the won's restroom?"

He pressed his voice even lower.

This ti, the comnts telling him to "go" were nearly unanimous.

Ai Shiping took a deep breath and tiptoed over.

Even counting his ti in the ga, this was his first ti entering a won's restroom.

Nervousness blunted his perception; Ai Shiping himself didn't even notice anything unusual.

It was the sudden explosion of ssages in the chat that tipped him off:

[Run!]

[Sothing's wrong!]

[Is soone there?]

[There are little girl's shoes over there!]

[Run quickly!]

[Run!]

Guided by the chat, Ai Shiping finally spotted the anomaly—from his angle, it was perfectly visible.

In the gap under the door of the squat toilet stall directly facing him, there was a pair of little girl's shoes.
