Now reading: Chapter 146 146 from Game of Thrones: My Weekend Trips to Earth, a Action novel by wolfsink.

It was early 2027, and the annual Spring Festival had arrived once again.

This year's Spring Festival was much livelier than in previous years.

In the living room of Luke's house, the crystal chandelier cast a warm glow, illuminating a table full of delicious food and a room full of laughter.

Occasional bursts of firecrackers could be heard from outside — children in the neighboring park, which allowed fireworks, were celebrating the New Year early.

"Co, co, Little Ke! Auntie toasts you!"

His eldest aunt walked over with a wine glass, her face flushed red.

She wore a brand-new red sweater and a thick gold chain around her neck — the first-place prize from the company's year-end party, which she showed off to everyone.

Luke smiled and stood up, clinking glasses with her.

"Auntie, no need to be polite. We're family."

"Family is family," his eldest aunt said, already a little drunk and slurring her words, "but you are the pillar of our Lu family. This toast is a must!"

Several relatives around them chid in.

"Yes, yes, toast to Little Ke!"

"Without Little Ke, how could we have such good days today!"

"My son said he earns more in one year now than in the previous three combined!"

Luke smiled and responded, but inside he felt a wave of emotion.

A year ago, these relatives were still struggling to make ends et. So were carrying bricks on construction sites, so were working three shifts in factories, and so were farming back ho and barely saving any money. When they gathered for the New Year, all they talked about was "I didn't make any money this year" and "I don't know where I'll find work next year."

This year was different.

Most of them were now his employees, working in the factories in Xiaoping City. "High pay, light work, close to ho," plus weekends off and full social insurance. At the end of the year, everyone received at least one month's salary as a year-end bonus.

The cousins who had beco supervisors each bought a new car. A dostic car worth over a hundred thousand yuan was already considered quite good in Xiaoping City.

These once-poor relatives now held their heads high. They walked with straighter backs, spoke louder, and carried themselves with a sense of superiority.

His father, Lu Dashan, sat at the head of the table, beaming with pride.

He had always been the most respected person in the Lu family. Now that his son had beco the family's backbone, his prestige was even higher — a massive lead over everyone else!

His mother, Lanhua, sat beside him, also glowing with happiness.

After a year of "high-end wellness," the old couple had developed a touch of "wealthy deanor."

Father Lu Dashan wore a high-end custom casual outfit — low-key yet luxurious. On his wrist was the Patek Philippe watch his son had given him. He insisted on driving his Rolls-Royce Cullinan himself and refused to let the driver take over. Ever since getting his license, he took his wife out for drives every few days.

Mother Lanhua wore a jade necklace worth millions and a full-green jade bracelet on her wrist. Her skin was fair and smooth, her complexion rosy, and she had put on a little weight. Standing there, without speaking, she truly had the air of an upper-class lady.

Luke had wanted to hire drivers for them, but his father firmly refused.

"I can drive myself. Why else did I get my license?" his father said matter-of-factly. "You don't understand the feeling of driving a Rolls-Royce! In the whole of Xiaoping City, besides my private one, have you seen anyone else driving one? The other day I t a boss who owns a wedding dress shop. He also has a Rolls-Royce, but it's rented by his company…"

Luke could only smile helplessly.

To cultivate their manners, he had also hired teachers for his parents and started a "senior university class" at ho.

The main focus was teaching them pinyin and standard Mandarin. As countryside people, their Mandarin wasn't fluent, which sotis made communication with outsiders difficult.

The old couple studied very seriously.

Now when his mother Lanhua answered the phone, she would start with stiff but proper Mandarin: "Hello, may I ask who is calling…"

Although she still stumbled sotis, she had the posture down perfectly.

What surprised the relatives most this year was not Luke's wealth, but the girls he brought ho.

Not one or two.

But three.

Mia Daddario, the golden-haired, blue-eyed foreign beauty, made everyone's eyes go wide the mont she walked in.

Alexandra Daddario, Mia's older sister, was also a foreign beauty, but with a more mature aura.

And Li Zijin, his dostic "white moonlight," wore a red coat and looked gentle and graceful.

The three girls standing together in the living room made the whole room feel brighter.

The relatives looked at each other, unsure what to say.

"Little Ke, this… this is…" his eldest uncle stamred.

Luke smiled calmly and introduced them: "This is Mia, my girlfriend. This is Alexandra, Mia's sister. This is Li Zijin, my friend."

He deliberately left the word "friend" vague.

The three girls, however, were graceful and natural, greeting the relatives in their own ways.

Mia, whose Chinese was still limited, said warmly, "Hello everyone, I'm Mia. Nice to et you all."

Alexandra simply smiled and nodded. Her Chinese was even worse — she could basically only say "hello."

Li Zijin, on the other hand, was completely at ease. She spoke fluent Mandarin, was a local, and even knew so dialect. She quickly started chatting with several aunts.

To give his parents face and stop them from pressuring him to get married, Luke's move was quite clever.

But unexpectedly, a quiet competition soon broke out between the three girls.

Especially between Mia and Li Zijin.

Both were trying their hardest to win over Luke's mother, Lanhua, using every possible thod.

Although Mia's Chinese was poor, she was热情似火 (passionate as fire).

She specially learned a few Chinese dishes and insisted on cooking for Lanhua. The result was overly salty and barely edible. But her attitude was sincere, so Lanhua didn't say anything.

Li Zijin took the caring route. She chatted with Lanhua, gave her massages, went shopping with her, and called her "Auntie" so affectionately that Lanhua couldn't stop smiling.

Due to the language barrier, there were many funny monts.

Once, Mia wanted to complint Lanhua on looking young and beautiful. She struggled with her Chinese and finally said: "Auntie, you look very… very…"

She got stuck, thought for a long ti, and blurted out: "Very… fresh!"

Lanhua was stunned.

Li Zijin nearly burst out laughing beside her.

Another ti, Lanhua wanted to praise Mia's figure. Using dialect, she said to Luke: "This foreign girl has such a big butt — perfect for having children."

Mia didn't understand, but seeing everyone laughing, she laughed along foolishly.

Li Zijin understood perfectly and her face turned green.

In the evenings, father, mother, and sister would often gather together and discuss the pros and cons of Mia and Li Zijin in their local dialect.

As for Alexandra, she was quietly accepted as "Mia's extra" and not counted separately.

"That Li Zijin is pretty, speaks nicely, and is a local. She was Little Ke's high school classmate — we know her background…" Mother Lanhua said. "She's just too skinny, no at on her butt."

"Mia is a foreigner. Different culture. They'll definitely divorce later," sister Lu Fang said.

Father Lu Dashan pondered for a mont and said, "Can our Lu family really marry a golden-haired, blue-eyed daughter-in-law? This would be making history. But I wonder if our ancestors would be angry — after all, it would pollute our Dragon Country bloodline…"

Mother and sister nodded in agreent.

Finally, the sister sighed helplessly: "It's not up to us. What matters is what Little Ke thinks. Let's not interfere. Whoever gets pregnant first will be our daughter-in-law!"

The standard was simple, crude, but very practical.

The lively Spring Festival soon ca to an end.

On the tenth day of the first lunar month, his sister organized a family trip, wanting to travel while the "return-to-work rush" was still ongoing.

But Luke had to miss it.

Westeros was in turmoil, and he needed to return to take charge of the situation.

After the Red Wedding, the North was in chaos.

The Iron Islands were taking advantage of the disorder, Stannis had just killed his brother Renly, and Joffrey was still causing trouble in King's Landing…

He couldn't stay on Earth any longer. Using work as an excuse, he missed the family trip once again.

"Go ahead, go ahead," his father waved his hand. "Important matters co first."

His mother looked reluctant but said nothing.
