Thrid Person POV
Essos, 296 AC.
---------------------------------------
A man was looking at the sea at that mont next to his cal, while he was passing through the desert from the capital of Dorne to a village in the north where he was going to deliver so things that so friends had asked him to sell there. Everything seed normal as he had stopped to admire the calm sea with its waves at that mont.
But sothing caught his attention. He swore he saw a giant shadow appearing hundreds of ters away from that beach where he had stopped to rest, clearly seeing why the sea was darkening due to its size, and it got closer and closer until it finally stopped there.
"What is that..." the man asked in a weak tone as he watched the scene.
A mont later, the shadow began to leave the area, disappearing into the sea, and he let out a sigh of relief, confused by the strange event he had just witnessed.
But it didn't seem to be over because he saw the water explode as soone erged out of nowhere. The man widened his eyes in disbelief, seeing a stranger appear and head toward the beach.
"By the gods... what is that?!" He stood up, a little scared.
Jon walked onto the beach, staring at soone he had already seen through his eyes in the sky. He realized it was just an old man, soone who wouldn't interfere with him, so he continued walking toward the beach.
Jon was alone, looking at the desert as his birds erged from above, following him on the journey. After checking that the entire region was deserted, he approached the man.
The man seed deeply shocked, watching as soone in Dornish clothing erged from the water, carrying weapons and a sack on his back, walking calmly. What scared him the most, however, was the fact that the boy had not a single drop of water on his skin, which was impossible according to his understanding of the world.
Jon got close enough for the man to see him clearly, and he addressed him with a few words. "Hello, my good man. Can you tell exactly where I am?" Jon unrolled a map and held it out to the man, just to get a better idea of where he was.
"You... you're one of the sea people or sothing?" The man asked, finally snapping out of his initial shock, but treating Jon as sothing magical.
"Sea people... I don't think so." Jon replied with a smile.
"But you ca out of the sea without a single drop of water!!" The man insisted.
"I think you're exaggerating, my man... The sun must be affecting your head... Anyway, can you point out where exactly we are?" Jon kept his smile and spoke in a calm tone.
The man, sowhat fearful... ended up doing what Jon asked without much resistance, pointing to the map while looking at Jon without saying much.
"That's good, thank you... Now I'll head south." Jon said as he took the map, rolled it back up, and stored it before starting to move again.
"Have a good day." Jon said, and began to walk, leaving the bewildered man behind.
Jon was still unaffected by the desert heat, thanks to the layer created by Wind that protected him the whole ti. And so, it continued for hours as he walked at the sa pace toward the south.
"Hm?" At a certain mont, Jon sensed that his eagles had detected sothing coming from the north as they stirred up dust in the desert due to the high speed they had at that mont, heading toward the Arctic king.
Three horses were coming from the north in his direction, following the tracks he had left in the desert, and Jon smiled at that. "Finally, my mount has arrived..." He stopped to wait for them.
The sound of the horses was heard monts later by him as they approached from the north. Finally, they erged from the desert, looking at Jon as they began to circle him, watching him cautiously.
"So, this is the man the old one said erged from the water. Tell , is that true?" The first one asked his companions before turning back to Jon, with a Dornish accent and a hint of concern in his voice, truly believing the story.
Jon raised an eyebrow, surprised that the guard believed the man he had encountered further north, but he didn't respond.
"We found an old man who claims to have seen soone coming from the depths of the sea, without even getting wet, and now we find you here, alone. Quite the coincidence, isn't it?" The sa man spoke with caution, looking at Jon, who kept a calm gaze despite the questions.
"Are you so kind of sea folk?" The second man asked, also believing the story.
"Stop with this nonsense. That doesn't exist!" The third man raised his voice, trying to inject so reason into his companions, before turning back to Jon. "But one thing is certain: why are you in the desert? And where is your horse?" He questioned with a sharp look.
"I lost it a few days ago. Since then, I've been trying to reach the capital of Dorne," Jon said calmly.
The n exchanged glances. The one who had spoken last, who seed to be the leader, imdiately drew his sword.
"Drop all your weapons. You don't have a Dornish accent, so you're a suspect and will be escorted to judgnt. If you're a spy, you'll be dead before the sun rises tomorrow," he ordered.
"Alright, it seems I'll have to do this..." Jon muttered.
The n asked what he ant by that, but they barely had ti to react when their desert horses began galloping uncontrollably, causing them all to fall imdiately.
One of the n groaned as he tried to get up, asking what had happened, but barely had ti before the hooves of his own horse struck him precisely on the head, knocking him unconscious as he rolled in the sand. The sa happened to the other two.
The sand dust began to dissipate, and Jon started moving. He grabbed the fallen n and placed them on top of their horses, tying them each with a rope, keeping all three n on just two horses.
"When you wake up, you'll be far from here. Goodbye." These were Jon's only words before slapping the rump of one of the horses, and both took off straight into the desert, moving far away, where they wouldn't interfere with his infiltration until it was completed.
He then approached the other horse, which was calmly watching him. Jon mounted it, removed any banner that might identify it as a Martell soldier's horse, and proceeded south. Dorne wasn't far from where he was—only four hours of fast riding, and he was already nearing his goal.
Pushing the horse to its limits with his powers, a few hours later, he ca across Sunspear, which finally appeared on the horizon as he continued toward the city.
At the northern gate of the capital of Dorne, there was a line of people trying to enter the city, which was perfectly normal, with guards checking for any irregularities and suspicious individuals.
Jon stood in line, waiting a few minutes, and eventually, the guards approached him. Since he appeared to have a fine horse and carried himself like a warrior, they walked toward him to check as he moved to pass through the gate. Not everyone was being checked, but those who drew attention were.
The guards watched him with suspicion, looking for anything that might mark him as soone unwelco in the city. Just as they were about to give the order for him to dismount, a commotion started with a pack of dogs attacking the guards at the gate.
"What is this?" One of the guards shouted, surprised by the sound of dogs beginning to bite a guard's leg, while more appeared, trying to shake off this crazed attack.
Quickly, the attention on Jon was diverted to the dogs, which seed quite hostile as more and more of them appeared, leaving the guards there very frightened by the situation.
"Where did these dogs co from? Who are their owners?" One guard shouted, trying to scare the animals away with his spear.
"Kill these creatures! Quickly!" Another guard ordered as they tried to fend off the dogs, slashing at them with their sabers. But the dogs were clever, dodging out of reach of their weapons, while others attacked from different angles. The chaos escalated, and even the people entering and leaving the city began to flee in fear.
In the midst of the confusion, Jon seized the opportunity and calmly passed through, entering the city without anyone really paying attention to him, while the guards struggled to control the enraged animals, watching them flee as soon as Jon was out of sight.
A group of guards ran through the streets, trying to reach the gate to assess the situation, while Jon walked past them calmly, carrying his weapons.
Jon was observing the city, after all, it was once again that he found himself inside the capital of Dorne. He continued walking calmly through the streets, careful not to appear suspicious. His eagles still served as his peripheral vision, flying over the city so he could make any decisions in advance regarding potential events.
He proceeded into the poorest part of the city. It wasn't as bad as King's Landing, but there was a clear distinction where very poor people, beggars, thieves, and cheap prostitutes lived.
The people looked at Jon with suspicion as he walked forward. He didn't have the typical skin color of a Dornishman, and that might attract attention. Jon already knew that so bandits had started to follow him in this area, and as he neared his objective, he turned into an alley, stopping to wait for his pursuers to appear.
He dismounted from his horse and looked at a group of people coming from the direction he had entered. "What do we have here... you've got a nice spear and sword!" A toothless Dornishman grinned at Jon.
"..." Jon remained silent, watching the eight n wearing tattered clothes, holding pieces of wood, iron, and the man who had spoken with a grin.
"Co on, n, bring him down, and let's take his weapons before he uses them against us!" The man declared, and in the next mont, all seven n rushed at Jon.
"This will be quick..." Jon comnted, not bothering to draw his weapons initially, and commanded his horse to move away. As the first man swung a club at him, Jon easily caught it with his gloved hand. The man tried to pull it back, but before he could, Jon pushed him and broke his arm, sending him to the ground, writhing in pain.
Using the club, Jon began attacking the others, launching blows, defending himself, and creating openings in his enemies with ease, striking them so hard that they fell to the ground.
The leader seed surprised by this and quickly ran to help his n, raising his machete. Jon had already knocked down another four, even as six of them tried to hit him. When Jon brought down his fifth opponent, he smashed his club into the iron weapon of another, breaking Jon's weapon.
Another man tried to attack, but Jon spun to avoid it. The sound of tal rang out as he drew his scimitar from its sheath, slicing through the sixth and seventh n before they could react. He then threw his weapon aside and slashed the last one, piercing his heart. The man dropped his machete in shock, collapsing soon after as he died.
The first man was the only one left, screaming with a broken arm. Jon had knocked the others out with blows to the head and slit the throats of those still alive once he drew his sword. The alley was now filled with corpses.
"AHHH!!!" The man scread in pain until Jon kicked him in the head, knocking him unconscious in the next mont.
He ignored the curious gazes of onlookers as they witnessed the scene of several bodies lying around. Jon mounted his horse and continued onward.
After 10 minutes of walking through the slums without much trouble, using cats, dogs, or even snakes to drive away any followers, he finally arrived at an abandoned building. He dismounted, slapping his horse so it would continue on without him, using it as a distraction as it rode off to another location.
As soon as Jon entered, he found a group of people inside, with a few candles lit, illuminating the space. Upon seeing Jon enter, everyone quickly stood up and imdiately knelt before him.
"My king!" they said in unison, with respect.
"Are you ready? We will act tonight, a ship will be waiting for us to the north," Jon said.
"Yes, my king, we will act the mont you command," one of the n responded.
"Very well, we have four royal guards and two n skilled in infiltration here. Our objective is to infiltrate Sunspear Castle and rescue Nyra Sand, then escape without being detected," Jon explained.
"It will be done, my king," they replied, and Jon nodded.
"Excellent, now let's wait for nightfall before we move. I'll be moving the animals in the city to assist us," he said, looking up at the sky where part of the building had no roof. He sat in a corner and began to ditate, preparing himself while his n nodded and prepared as well.
These n had stayed behind, camouflaging themselves among the city's visitors. Jon had asked them to remain in the city to help him and arranged for them to et him alone later to avoid drawing attention.
They waited like that for hours until Jon finished scanning the entire city. As soon as night fell, Jon opened his eyes, just before the wolf hour. "Are we ready?" he asked, and they all nodded imdiately. Jon hadn't eaten while he studied the guards' routines and counted each one they would need to face.
"Let's begin then," Jon said as he walked over to the sack he had brought to Dorne. He started pulling out so special weapons like blowpipes, along with dice to use as ammunition, and his personal weapon.
After that, everyone finished preparing, covering their faces with Dornish clothes to blend in with the crowd. Jon then opened the city map and began marking points and routes for each of them since they wouldn't be moving together at the sa ti to avoid attracting attention.
After a brief discussion of the action plan, they started to move. The door of the building opened, and the n began to scatter through the slums, advancing toward the wealthier part of the city and the main castle at the far end, near the coast.
Dorne's capital was quite lively at night. Street perforrs and even vendors were selling their goods at this hour, with rcenaries and guards patrolling the area.
Jon was mistaken for a rcenary as he made his way to the main castle. It wasn't too difficult to reach the eting point after passing through the gate and the city streets, finding a blind spot where no one could see him.
He waited there for a while until his n started to appear quickly. Jon made sure everyone had arrived safely.
Once everyone was present, Jon looked at his six warriors. "Alright, let's avoid killing anyone. Use only these."
He handed them blowpipes from the sack he had brought. The ammunition was darts coated with a substance—a powerful tranquilizer capable of bringing down even an elephant from the Golden Company in a few minutes. As for an ordinary man, he would fall unconscious as soon as the poison touched his blood, rendering him out for up to two days.
"Good, I trust you all know how to use them, after all, you were trained for this," Jon continued. "They have a range of 20 to 30 ters, hitting the target. This is how we'll clear the way without drawing attention."
Everyone nodded at Jon's words, and he continued. "Let's begin, then," he said.
While the guards patrolled the castle walls, the Arctic group approached through the shadows, staying in a blind spot. Jon was carefully using an owl to scan the surroundings, looking for a safe mont. When no one was watching, Jon raised his hands in a signal to his n. They readied their blowpipes, aid at a group of guards chatting on the wall, well within the reach of the Arctic team. Quickly, they launched the darts with a silent puff. The guards had no ti to react, feeling only a small sting on their necks before, glancing at the darts, they collapsed, unconscious.
"We've secured this side. Let's move," Jon said, leading them to the next step.
They swiftly approached the wall, unseen, pulling ropes from their bags. With hooks attached, they threw the ropes, securing them between the stones atop the 10-ter-high wall. One by one, they began to climb, hidden from view in the blind spot near the gates.
Once inside, they crouched down as they spotted more guards on the opposite side of the wall, walking toward them. The guards, unaware of anything amiss, continued their patrol until they were struck by more darts. The attackers kept hitting them, and they too collapsed unconscious, until the area was cleared of anyone who could alert the rest of the castle.
"Let's hide these bodies for now and clear the courtyard before we enter the castle," Jon said.
It was already late, and the Martells were likely asleep by now. As silence dominated the night, the attackers continued knocking out every guard near the gates and even in the garden, leaving a trail of sleeping guards scattered across the area.
"My king, we've cleared the entire area. Should we enter the castle?" one of the royal guards asked.
"Yes, but I want two of you with . The other four will stay here in case anything goes wrong. I'll also be keeping an eye on the sky, so stay alert for any signal I might give. Understood?" Jon instructed.
His n nodded. Now, it was finally ti to rescue his sister.
