---------------------------------------

Third Person POV

Blacktyde, 300 AC.

---------------------------------------

The ships began to gather along the coast.

n shouted orders on parts of the ships and prepared imdiately, while Jon watched so of his n fastening a strap with a saddle, tightening it around Caraxes' belly.

The giant eagle allowed it without seeming bothered, since Jon would use her tonight.

Soon, the fleet began to move quickly, preparing, while so ships started to release their boats, with several soldiers being sent. Jon went with them to the shore. They needed to build a deck to be able to release all the soldiers from the ships, since going by boat would take too long and the coast was full of rocks for the ships to dock like on beaches.

He arrived at the shore with the first group and simply placed his hand firmly on the ground. Between the sea and the coast, roots began to grow in the next mont.

His ability with nature had increased greatly during his training with the gods. He could now do more than just create trees — he could shape the wood itself and create structures from it.

Imdiately, the roots began to expand, creating solid wood, forming a bridge with its bases burying into the seawater until reaching the bottom, anchoring themselves before thickening and becoming firm enough to support great loads, as well as giants and heavier animals that could leave the ships.

Gradually, he created a giant deck in that place, where at least ten ships could dock and begin unloading their n. And so it went: for two hours, the army began to leave the ships, as they unloaded at the dock Jon created and then moved away to make space for other ships.

His krakens kept watch over the sea the entire ti, attacking any ship they encountered. The activity of the ironborn was still significant at that mont, and there were always other ships passing through the sea, but they were easily eliminated by the krakens themselves, which dragged the vessels to the depths.

He regrouped with the captains and commanders, marking on the map of the island the path they should follow. Only a group of eight thousand Arctican n would be taken to the island. They would not deal with more than four or five thousand n there, especially with Jon bringing a special Arctic unit that would basically make their debut on this island, a group called rangers, capable of incapacitating the entire enemy army before the true attack.

"Let's march. You head to this area south of the fortress. I intend to take a look from above," said Jon.

While his n nodded, he called Caraxes, who ca from the main ship to him, landing lightly. Ghost was also on the island, but he would stay with era and Arya, while Jon would first carry out a reconnaissance task. More than trusting his animals, he wanted to observe the island's structure personally.

"Let's go, buddy." Jon mounted Caraxes. With a firm push, the eagle spread her wings and imdiately took off, leaving the group behind. He rose over the forest and headed toward the fortress and the city with the dock full of ships, the port, the city, and the fortress glowing with thousands of lights, campfires, lanterns, and candles.

His gaze fell downward as he analyzed the place. The fortress seed calm, with n guarding the walls, but with the vigilance quite relaxed. After all, no one would imagine they would receive an attack that night, when everything indicated they were succeeding in the North.

They continued circling around the fortress, so Jon could see other parts of the island. He observed where the slaves were kept. In more distant villages, and it was not a very good situation... He could see how poor they were...

The ironborn said they did not sow, only took the iron price. Well, they would have to change that as soon as Jon took all that labor from them. They would have no choice but to start working for themselves...

He just needed to decide where to place them. There were two places he considered after the end of that war. One was in the North, which would be good, especially in the Gift region, which needed labor. The other was in Hardho, to develop a port and a large city, which he already planned to build in the future, creating an interdiate point between Arctic and the rest of the world. After all, he did not want to place foreigners inside his kingdom so easily. Hardho would serve as a filter and also Arctic's port would not be good for trade when most of it was occupied with military ships, they had around 2 thousand ships at that mont...

Maybe Skagos would also be a good idea, but that he would decide in the future. In any case, he would first free those people.

Thus, he continued observing while Caraxes flew, and the day advanced. He gave instructions internally, in the sa way he did with Eragon when flying with him.

He was also accompanied by Caraxes' offspring, while the two eagles Bleufire and Phoenix flew beside them. Jon touched the plumage of the great white eagle and soon guided her back to the army, which was already approaching the fortress. The eagle landed lightly as his n gathered around him.

"There is a place just ahead. We will gather there to discuss the plans," Jon said quickly.

His n gathered. "Let's follow the plan. They do not expect what is coming tonight, so let's kill as many as possible with our rangers."

There were two thousand elite rangers there, trained for that kind of situation. They would massacre everyone they could with the elent of surprise. It was an elite force created outside Arctic, always seeking the best paths for the army to advance, scouting the enemy and eliminating targets silently with their bows.

They were the eyes of the army.

"It will be done, my king," said the commander of the rangers.

Jon nodded. "Then prepare your n. The eting is over. I want only Jin Sakai with ," Jon requested.

The Yi-Ti mber remained, and beside Jon stood Lancelot. Jon turned back to the eastern man who was part of Arctic.

"I want you to take care of the gate when the infantry arrives and opens it. I am sure that will not be a difficult task for you and your n," Jon said.

There was no better infiltration team than the one Jin Sakai commanded in Arctic. It was no wonder they had managed to enter Casterly Rock, famous for never having fallen, and captured Joy Hill without spilling a single drop of blood. They simply entered, took the girl in silence, and left under the cover of night. That must have been more humiliating for Tywin than an open war at his gates with several Lannister soldiers being killed.

Rumors were already spreading in Westeros: the great lion not only had his two children injured by Arctic, but had also practically lost his own castle without being able to do anything about it...

Jin Sakai nodded at the request. He had already expected that. "My king, it will be done," he said.

Jon nodded. "Good, let's begin then. I will pay a little visit to the castle. Lord Blacktyde has just returned to his bed with his wife..." Jon said, and Jin Sakai left Jon and Lancelot alone.

"My king..." Lancelot tried to speak, but Jon raised an eyebrow, making him fall silent.

"You always say this to , that I am putting myself in danger. Haven't you gotten used to your king yet, Lancelot?" Jon mocked.

"Even so, I must still say it, my king... you put yourself in great danger," Lancelot replied.

"My n follow because I do not stay behind, shouting orders at them while they die..." Jon said.

"That is why they respect you and follow you into every war, even if they have to risk their lives. However, if sothing happens to you, my king... we will all suffer," Lancelot said.

"Do not worry. You have already seen face dragons alone. You have already seen in the infantry against the army of the dead. Invading a fortress is not sothing you need to worry about, my commander of the Kingsguard..." Jon replied.

Lancelot simply nodded, although there was still caution in his gaze.

Jon then prepared himself by going to Caraxes, before seeing Arya approaching him.

"Stay back. Let the rangers do the first work. You will have your mont," he said.

"Alright..." Arya, despite wanting to protest, said nothing. She knew she was a front-line soldier, while the rangers acted in the shadows. That was not her job.

After that, Jon settled himself in the saddle again on Caraxes, as the eagle shot into the sky.

Jin Sakai imdiately summoned his n, and they followed a different path, able to be faster than all the others.

A group of thousands of n, wearing dark cloaks with the Arctic symbol on their chests, wore eldental armor underneath and had a short sword at their waists... Most carried a quiver with more than fifty arrows and a short bow, while so used longbows to hit more distant enemies if they needed it.

There was also an automatic crossbow at their waists... If the fight escalated to close range, the Arctican pulley crossbows would be killing machines that the ironborn would not be prepared for.

They advanced quickly, while the rest of the army ca right behind, preparing for a more direct attack on the fortress, there were 6 thousand Arcticans.

Jon kept flying over the fortress, looking for the best way to enter. "Try to lower onto that tower. That is where our target is," Jon said.

He found a perfect tower to land on. It had no roof, but was made of smooth stone and surrounded by rlons and crenels, just like the walls.

No one would expect an attack coming from the sky, since that tower functioned as a defensive point for archers — even higher than the walls themselves.

The eagle landed softly. There was no one guarding the place.

Jon got down and released the eagle. "Go to a safe place. Co only when I need you," he ordered.

Then he moved inside the tower, descending the stairs, with Caraxes flying away without anyone in the fortress noticing the giant eagle leaving the main tower.

The last ti he had done sothing like this was in Sunspear, when he infiltrated to rescue Rhaenys, pregnant with his child, from the hands of the Martells.

A debt that Jon never collected from Doran. But now with him in the south, perhaps he would have that opportunity in the coming moons.

And he would make sure to make him regret having kept Rhaenys as a hostage.

He pushed those thoughts aside. He would leave that for later and continued descending through the corridors. He found so servants passing by with cloths and buckets. Jon took a small cylindrical tube from his pocket, hidden under the cloak that covered his valyrian steel armor and the helt hanging at his waist, and advanced.

Two guards were coming down the corridor. Jon remained hidden in a gap, waiting for the two to pass. They did not even have ti to react when Jon erged from the shadows, using only a dagger. He slit the throat of the first, who barely managed to react, and before the other could scream, Jon placed his hand over his mouth and cut his throat from behind. The two n fell to the ground, writhing, letting out small groans, unable to alert the others. A mont later, they were dead.

He knew that when they found the bodies, they would realize there was an intruder. But by then, the gates should already have fallen. He could see, through his eagles and so owls with better vision, the rangers advancing quickly, but Jin Sakai's team was already entering the city, using gaps between soldiers and drunkards, the group's wargs could quickly see the keep and the best path through the owls circling the area.

Jin Sakai and his n had already traveled even on ships being lifted by a dragon — this was easy in comparison.

Jon continued until he found the entrance to the lord of the castle's chambers, where Goren Blacktyde was with his wife... And there were two guards at the door. He took a cylindrical object again and brought it to his mouth. He stepped into the corridor, drawing the n's attention, who looked at him in surprise.

Jon fired with a quick breath.

The first dart flew straight, hitting the guard's neck. The man barely had ti to react before the toxin took effect. The second, upon seeing his companion with the object lodged in his throat, felt the sting and quickly pulled the dart out. But it was useless.

The poison acted almost instantly. He began to stagger, unable to speak, before falling to the ground beside the other.

Jon approached and slit the throats of both. The toxin was only ant to bring them down and paralyze, but he was not in Dorne trying to avoid deaths. For those n, Jon was more than willing to kill them. In a short ti, that castle would beco a massacre when his forces invaded the city and advanced there.

Jon pressed the door handle, but it was locked. He took out two tools and quickly began to pick it, always attentive to the corridor, using his rodent animals that he had taken control of to check if anyone was approaching.

He soon managed to open it. Upon entering, he heard laughter. The lord of the castle was with his wife.

Jon slowly closed the door. The two were under the covers.

Jon made the room grow cold slowly, until the couple began to shiver.

"Wow... it's cold," said the woman.

"Well, yes. Sumr is already over, and now the weather is crazy," he said. "But we can warm ourselves, my dear."

She laughed, but her laughter soon died when, suddenly, she saw a man watching behind her husband. His green eyes glead, staring at them. She turned pale.

Lord Goren Blacktyde noticed and turned his head, but before he could react, he received a punch from a valyrian steel gauntlet, being knocked down with ease.

"Who—"

The woman could not even finish. As she opened her mouth to call the guards, Jon struck her head, hard enough to make her pass out.

anwhile, at the entrance of the city, the shadows moved at high speed, positioning themselves as they observed their first targets.

Drunken n laughed and sang. So dragged won by force, displaying them, saying they had captured them in the Riverlands or the North.

And then, without warning, the only different sound was the air being cut. Arrows flew at high speed.

The first man was hit. The others only widened their eyes before also being struck, one after another. All the rangers marked their targets individually, being precise after years of training in Arctic.

The won stood still, surrounded by corpses that fell in an instant.

"You," a voice drew attention. Several hooded n appeared.

"Do not scream. Just stay sowhere safe. We are here to eliminate the ironborn," said one of the Arctic rangers.

Not knowing what to say, they obeyed. Their first instinct was to scream, but after days of being abused and forced by those n, seeing their oppressors dead brought a strange satisfaction, feeding the hatred they felt.

The rangers began to spread through the city. Several groups launched attacks at the sa ti, eliminating the ironborn without anyone noticing.

So won scread, of course, but they were silenced — sotis with a stone thrown to knock them unconscious. It was necessary to maintain secrecy. They would be taken care of later.

And so they advanced, gaining more and more territory in the city.

There were many ironborn, but those two thousand rangers continued rapidly reducing their numbers. The main objective was the docks — to capture the ships. Otherwise, Arctic would have already started the attack with wildfire from the beginning.

anwhile, Jin Sakai climbed the fortress walls with a claw and rope. Several n followed him, taking advantage of the fact that the rangers had not yet been detected. With the elent of surprise intact, Jin and so of his n eliminated the first guards on the wall, who did not even have ti to understand what was happening.

They were killed in silence.

More n climbed, until an infiltration team with thirty mbers was ford on the walls.

"We have to get to the gate," he said, as his n followed him.

Lord Goren Blacktyde opened his eyes, dazed, upon hearing the sound of doors being forced. He looked around, confused. The bedroom door was reinforced — it seed to have fused with the walls, making it impossible to be broken easily.

n outside shouted, trying to break it down.

He had a gag in his mouth. His wife was beside him, also gagged. Both were shivering from the cold.

"I see you have woken up." The voice made both of them look forward, surprised.

Jon was standing near the window, where he observed the city, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He was no longer wearing his cloak, his valyrian steel armor was visible.

"Hmmm!" The man began to groan. Jon approached. Since they had already been discovered, there was no longer any reason to keep the gag. He ripped it off forcefully, hurting the lord's mouth, who coughed before staring at him.

"Who are you?" he asked, with fear and anger.

His wife continued trembling beside him. Jon was deliberately making the room colder, creating a light frost.

"We have never t before. I am Jon Arctic. I believe you have already heard of ," he said.

Lord Blacktyde's eyes widened.

"You... it cannot be," he growled.

"What is it? Did your raids without resistance in the last moons make you soft? It seems the ironborn have forgotten how fragile they are. I rember the rebellion you made years ago... and how you failed miserably," Jon replied.

"How can it be you? Why and how are you here? There are thousands of ironborn! How did you get in?" he began firing questions, looking at the door and seeing his n trying to open it, but failing. Seeing Jon Arctic there calmly, he seed to know they would not be able to break it down...

Jon remained silent for a few seconds, while the door continued to be forced from the outside. "How I got here does not matter. And why I am here is quite obvious: I ca to destroy you," Jon said.

"You—" the lord growled. "You are trapped in this room with as your only hostage! My n and my son must be behind that door trying to break it down! Not to ntion the entire city is full of ironborn!"

Jon looked out the window, seeing nothing out of the ordinary, and gave a smile to Lord Blacktyde. "Ah, my dear Lord Blacktyde... you have no idea what is happening in your city right now. You enjoyed yourselves quite a bit raiding the weakened North, but you did not imagine the consequences. I can tell you that, in the North, you are no longer a problem. We killed most of you — and it was not pretty." Jon turned his gaze back to the city.

Screams began to echo. Alarms sounded.

"Relax," he said, turning back to face the man. "The rangers are already at the docks, taking control of the ships in secret. And the infantry has just entered the city... 6 thousand n... advancing straight here."

The man imdiately began to calculate what was happening.

"The gate is closed. Your n cannot enter this fortress, not completely," he said.

But Jon only kept his smile. "Well, I am fortunate not to be the only one in Arctic capable of infiltrating castles."

Almost at the sa mont, shouts ca from the direction of the gate. The Arcticans, under Jin Sakai's leadership, began opening it. Even without being able to see directly from that room, it was possible to perceive the movent — and the creaking of the gate was loud, and the infantry advancing as the gate opened, allowing the invasion of the castle.

"In just a few hours, you have been defeated. The docks have been taken, and the infantry is massacring everyone in the city before advancing to the castle. Soon, this place will be completely under our control," Jon said, still with his arms crossed, satisfied with the success of capturing the first island in such a short ti.
