Now reading: Chapter 11: On Ship from Game of Thrones: The Ruler, a Action novel by theimaginarywriter.

It had been more than fifteen days since Jon had departed on the ship White Harbor towards Sunspear.

The ship had already covered over half the distance to Dorne. In that ti, the ship had sailed nonstop. It had docked only once at King's Landing to unload so cargo and restock provisions. It would take another eleven days to reach Sunspear.

Inside their small cabin, Jon was training Slyvia in the basics of unard combat. Although the space in the cabin was cramped, it was sufficient for practicing a few simple movents.

Thanks to Jon's blood essence, Slyvia had beco far stronger than she once was. Though she was not able to train properly and had not been able to spar with Jon, her progress had been nothing short of astounding. It was only a matter of ti before Slyvia would beco an excellent warrior.

While her techniques were still rough and her movents lacked finesse, her physique had undergone a dramatic transformation.

Muscles had ford along her arms and abdon. Her reflexes had turned sharper, her speed greater, and her strength was steadily increasing.

Once she mastered technique and discipline, Jon had no doubt, she would beco one of the greatest warriors.

They were in the middle of a training session when a knock on the doors interrupted them.

Jon narrowed his eyes and he walked over to the door and opened it. Standing outside the door were two crewn of the ship.

"Captain wants to see the both of you," the one closer to the gate almost ordered.

"What for?" Jon asked with a frown. He could see so trouble approaching.

"We do not know," the second man almost snapped. "And do not ask too many questions. Just co."

Jon's eyes narrowed further and his frown deepened. He felt his hunch was most probably true. Sothing was not right.

He gave them a nod as he turned back inside, walked to the bed, and picked up his sword. The two n saw his action but did not say anything.

"Slyvia," he said, "co. The captain wants to see us."

She nodded and picked up her own sword before following him. The crewn led them in silence straight to the deck.

The captain- a burly, middle-aged man with a thick beard was sitting on a wooden chair on the deck of the chip.

When he spotted Jon and Slyvia approaching the deck, his face broke out in a hideous grin. His eyes were shalessly wandering over Slyvia's body, and he made no attempts to hide lecherous manners.

Aside from Jon and Slyvia, eleven n stood on the deck, which was half the ship's total crew. The rest were likely steering the vessel.

Jon sighed internally. This was trouble.

"Well, here you are, boy," the captain said with a chuckle.

Jon did not indulge him.

"What is this about?" Jon questioned. His expression neutral.

"Straight to the point, eh?" The captain burst into another bout of laughter. "I like that."

He gestured lazily toward his n and continued. "You see, my lads here. Well, they have been at sea a long ti. And so of them are feeling a little restless and are showing symptoms of illness."

"If your lovely companion here would be kind enough to keep them company, I promise the rest of your journey will be smooth," he added as his gaze was now transfixed on Slyvia.

Jon rubbed his temple. He was frustrated. He did not want unnecessary bloodshed.

"Do not do this," he warned. "I do not want to kill all of you."

"We're being generous here," the captain bood as his grin was now replaced by an angry expression most probably a tactic to frighten Jon. "And you are threatening us?"

"Cooperate," he added coldly, "and you both get to live. Otherwise…"

"So of my n would not mind trying a boy instead," he added with his gaze at Jon.

The rest of the crew cackled, their laughter loud and vulgar.

Jon's eyes narrowed. He knew there was no other way. He drew his sword. Slyvia mirrored his movent without hesitation.

The captain and his n were caught off guard. They had not expected resistance. Their numbers were overwhelming and had never thought that these two green horns would choose to defy them.

But after a brief mont of surprise, they recovered and drew their own weapons.

Jon gave a silent nod to Slyvia. It was all the signal she needed.

She dashed forward in a burst of sudden speed as she slashed her sword at one the n nearest to her.

Her target raised his sword just in ti to block her slash, but the sheer force of her blow knocked him back two steps. The strength behind Slyvia's attack caught him by surprise.

But before he could recover, he felt a cold sensation on his throat. He did even know when her second strike slit his throat. The man collapsed in a spray of blood with an expression of confusion and shock on his face.

Stunned silence followed Slyvia's action.

Half the n recoiled in fear. The girl was obviously trained and a fine warrior. These were not soldiers. They were just rchants and deckhands, untrained in real combat.

Their only hope had been in their numbers and they might have had a chance if the entire crew of 22 might have been present there but now it was impossible.

Slyvia did not wait for them to get out of stupor. She advanced again, already on her next target.

anwhile, Jon too made his move. Slyvia would not be able to handle all the 11 n by herself.

Two n charged at him. He ducked, letting their blades pass over his head. The two n had still not been able to stop their montum when Jon spun behind them and struck. He was fast. His sword carved through both necks in a single, fluid motion. Two heads fell with a thud.

By the ti Slyvia too had dispatched her second opponent, and she was already locked in combat with two more.

Without the elent of surprise, her edge had dulled. Despite her enhanced strength, her lack of training ant she struggled against the coordinated assault of two n.

Seeing this, Jon stopped holding back. He surged forward, cutting down another three n in rapid succession. No one even saw how he did it as three more heads rolled down the ground.

Now, only five enemies remained. Two of them were fighting Slyvia.

The captain himself joined the fray with two n flanking him. Jon parried their blows effortlessly. Within monts all three fell to Jon's sword, the captain lay dead, his body crumpled beside his n.

The death of their leader rattled the last two opponents facing Slyvia. Their hesitation was fatal.

Slyvia's sword nicked the arm of one the n as blood gushed from the injury.

The second man turned to flee, only for Jon's blade to sever his head from behind.

Now, only the last inured man remained standing. He was terrified beyond reason as he lunged at Slyvia in a panic. She blocked him with ease and slit his throat in her next movent.

11 n had been killed in monts.
