anwhile, on the other side of the battlefield.

Rex and Marcus grew more alard as the fight progressed.

The werewolf before them was a complete monster!

He completely crushed them in power, speed, and defense, and his combat instincts were even more terrifying. Even with the two of them working together along with several other S-Class Hunter, they could only barely manage to hold their ground, their bodies constantly accumulating new wounds.

What made them even more anxious was that the chaotic screams and gunfire coming from the distant urban area were becoming increasingly dense. Clearly, the situation over there was extrely pessimistic.

"Damn it! We've been tricked! Their main force isn't in the base at all!"

Rex finally realized what was happening, his heart filled with both urgency and rage.

He wanted to break away to take command of the overall situation, but Fenrir was like a maggot on a bone, his violent attacks pinning him down firmly.

A montary distraction would an being torn apart by the other's claws. Even though he followed the Slaughtering Path and his body had mutated its own ard organs, he was only barely holding on under the attacks of the Werewolf Tyrant.

He even suspected that the werewolf before him was the true power behind Apocalypse! A real SSS-Rank Hunter.

To be able to suppress them while simultaneously destroying ten of the Alliance's tanks—a normal SS-Rank Hunter simply couldn't do it!

Marcus's eyes were somber. He noticed that the surrounding light seed slightly off; Rex's movents would occasionally show extrely minute delays or deviations, as if he were being affected by so kind of interference.

It was that illusionist Hunter! The Hunter with an illusion-type talent who had misled the entire Allied Army.

Marcus hadn't expected the opponent's range of influence to reach all the way here. This level was definitely an SS-Level Talent.

Apocalypse was hidden much deeper than he had imagined.

In addition to Fenrir and William, who were already exposed to the public, he hadn't expected there to be another Hunter with an SS-Level illusion talent, along with this massive Werewolf Tyrant before him.

Under normal circumstances, such a large-scale illusion, while controlling the Allied soldiers, would be unable to affect them at all.

But now they were all held back. They couldn't afford to be distracted for even a second in front of this Werewolf Tyrant, so this beca a potential danger for them!

Marcus's gaze was low as he urgently spoke to warn Rex.

"Rex! Watch out for illusions!"

But at this mont, it was already a bit too late.

In the heat of the intense exchange, Rex suddenly caught a glimpse of Marcus's figure eerily flickering from his side and rear out of the corner of his eye, his fist driving straight for Rex's heart!

Although he knew this might be an illusion, in a life-and-death struggle, instinct was faster than thought. A trace of distraction and hesitation that shouldn't have been there appeared in his defensive movents.

This distraction and hesitation were more than enough for a Hunter of Fenrir's level!

Puchi—!

Blood sprayed!

Fenrir's massive wolf claws bypassed Rex's hastily repositioned greataxe at a tricky angle and stabbed viciously into his right abdon, nearly piercing him through entirely!

"Ugh, ahhh—!!!!"

Rex let out a shrill scream. The greataxe fell from his hands, and his massive body was hoisted into the air by the wolf claws, a truly wretched scene.

"Boss!"

Several loyalists from the Godslayer Guild nearby felt their eyes nearly burst as they rushed forward recklessly.

"Get lost!"

Fenrir's other claw swept across, swatting them away like flies.

His dark red vertical pupils stared coldly at the heavily wounded, dying Rex on his claw. His wolf maw opened and closed, his voice sounding as if it ca from hell.

"Your path ends here."

The wolf claw suddenly exerted force!

Crack... Pfft!

Rex, this once-unbeatable SS-Rank Hunter, Chairman of the Godslayer Guild, and nominal commander of the Allied Army, was dismbered on the spot! His mangled remains and organs rained down along with a shower of blood.

Seeing this scene, Marcus's heart suddenly sank, and he no longer had any will to fight.

He took a deep look at Fenrir, who stood like a demon god, then glanced at the distant Allied Army, which was already on the verge of collapse.

He turned quickly, his silver-gray body bursting with maximum speed as he fled for his life toward the outskirts of the City! Allies, spoils of war—none of it was worth ntioning in the face of his own life!

With the commander-in-chief dead, the strongest combatants either killed or fled, and the rear troops caught in a hellish trap and massacre... the morale of the Allied Army finally collapsed completely.

"Lord Rex is dead!"

"Run!"

"We can't win! We've been tricked!"

Cries, wails, and pleas for rcy replaced the will to fight.

The remaining Allied soldiers were like headless flies, discarding their armor and weapons, wanting only to escape this City that had instantly turned into a at grinder and that terrifying werewolf.

The warriors of Apocalypse, however, were greatly bolstered in morale. Under William's orderly command, they began to erge from their hiding places to conduct organized pursuit, mopping up, and accepting surrenders.

The morning sun finally leaped fully above the horizon, casting golden light across the battlefield, illuminating the blood flowing through the ruins, the scattered wreckage, and the captives kneeling in surrender with faces as pale as ash.

It also illuminated a row of figures that had quietly appeared on the walls of Apocalypse at so point.

William, Fenrir, Hawk Eye, Leah, and a group of Apocalypse's core mbers stood silently.

And at the very front, by the wall's embrasure, a petite figure wearing a black and red Gothic military uniform was leaning against the railing, looking into the distance.

Her snow-white long hair fluttered slightly in the morning breeze, and her ruby-like vertical pupils calmly reflected the victory won by the soldiers under her command.

Lilith withdrew her gaze and looked toward the rising sun, a faint curve touching the corner of her mouth.

Apocalypse's first external war was won.

And the eyes of the world would surely focus because of it.

William walked to her side and said in a low voice.

"Leader, preliminary statistics show that the Allied Army has over four thousand casualties and about three thousand prisoners, with the rest scattered. Our casualties are less than two hundred. As for the escaped Marcus, I will have Fenrir pursue him later to make up for his mistakes."

Hearing about making up for mistakes, Fenrir's face flushed, and his gaze couldn't help but drift toward the gate of Apocalypse.

Lilith gave a soft hum of acknowledgnt.

"Clean up the battlefield. As for the prisoners... those with bad character should be killed as necessary, and those with acceptable character should be used as appropriate."

After speaking, Lilith paused and continued.

"Also, there's no need to pursue Marcus. Get ready to receive guests."

William was startled for a mont, then understood.

"You an... the Sentinel Alliance?"

"Yes."

Lilith turned around, her military boots making a crisp sound on the ground as she walked down the tower.

"Now that we've beaten the small ones, the elders... should be coming too."

Lilith's voice drifted with the wind, carrying an unquestionable tone, even though they didn't know how the Leader had learned of the Sentinel Alliance's whereabouts.

But the imminent arrival of the Sentinel Alliance made them alert once again.

After all, they still didn't know the true purpose of the Sentinel Alliance's visit this ti.

However, with the Leader present, even if that person from the Sentinel Alliance really ca, Apocalypse would not be afraid!
