As the new leader of the police force, even if Yang Su considered it for his own political performance, he hoped that under his leadership, the team could achieve so results.
So last night after going ho, he pondered for half the night before finally coming up with this idea.
Although he didn’t expect everyone to learn much, it was better than nothing.
Zhao Donglai was very much in agreent with this idea and imdiately called Luo Fei to ask about it. Seeing that Luo Fei had no objections, he approved it right away.
Just as it happened, there wasn’t much going on in the police force recently, so both the technical squad and the police dog squad were called to the eting room to receive training from Luo Fei.
Perhaps it was because of what Zhao Donglai said last night that everyone was extrely proactive in their learning this ti. Everyone held small notebooks and took notes seriously, with basically no one slacking off.
This state continued until the end of work on Friday.
At exactly five o’clock, everyone left on ti.
Wu Xiaoyue also rushed out with everyone, when she suddenly heard Yang i’s voice from behind, "Xiaoyue, wait for to go together."
Looking at Yang i catching up, Wu Xiaoyue was shocked, "Yang i, you’re actually not leaving with your guy today?"
Ever since they started dating, except for working overti, the two of them basically left work together.
To the point where as Yang i’s best friend, Wu Xiaoyue could hardly rember what it was like to leave work with her.
Did the sun rise in the west today?
She was full of gossip, "Yang i, did you two have a fight? That can’t be right, weren’t you fine at lunch?"
"What are you guessing at? Luo Fei has sothing going on today."
"What’s more important than leaving work with your girlfriend?"
"Don’t talk nonsense, I’m not the kind of girl who makes unreasonable demands."
Yang i rolled her eyes and explained, "Wang Yong is treating them to a al today. Following along wouldn’t be appropriate."
Wang Yong had been teased by Zhaocheng and the others for a few days and simply decided to fulfill their wish today, notifying a few people in the morning to go for barbecue after work.
Luo Fei had already inford her of it in the afternoon.
"Oh, that’s how it is."
Wang Yong received quite a few rewards this month, treating others to a al was quite normal, Wu Xiaoyue realized, then smiled and took Yang i’s hand, "That’s perfect, you finally have ti to accompany today, let’s go shopping!"
anwhile, at the barbecue restaurant.
Zhaocheng held the nu in one hand, chuckling coldly, "Wang Yong, I didn’t even eat lunch today just to have a big feast on you, are you scared?"
Knowing he was joking, Wang Yong rolled his eyes, "Scared of what? Just order and I’ll see how much you can eat."
"Don’t underestimate , fine, today I’ll eat until you cry!"
With that, Zhaocheng did indeed start ordering from the nu enthusiastically.
Wang Yong then called the waiter to bring a dozen beers, and they started drinking and chatting.
In no ti, the barbecue they ordered was served.
Just as he said, Zhaocheng opened up his appetite and began eating heartily.
Wang Yong occasionally bickered playfully with him, and the atmosphere was quite cheerful.
Once they had enough to eat, Wang Yong finally got up to settle the bill.
Although Zhaocheng kept saying he would eat enough to make Wang Yong cry, the actual bill was just over three hundred.
After that, everyone went their separate ways.
When Luo Fei got ho, Wu Yan brought up the matter of inviting Wu Xiaohui and others to dinner the next day, reminding him not to forget to invite Yang i.
These past few days, he had been busy training everyone, and Wu Yan’s reminder jogged his mory, so he quickly sent Yang i a ssage.
Fortunately, Yang i didn’t have any plans for the next day and agreed without much hesitation.
Afterward, Luo Fei chatted with her for a while before resting.
On Saturday, as soon as the day broke, Wu Yan got up and started preparing.
All of Luo Fei’s siblings were also called up by her to help.
Everyone kept busy until after nine o’clock when Wu Xiaohui and her husband arrived.
Zhao Changfa was carrying two boxes of milk.
"You didn’t have to bring anything!" Wu Yan said with a reproachful look, glancing behind them, "Where’s Zhenzhen? Why didn’t she co with you?"
"She has extra lessons; she can’t co till noon." Wu Xiaohui explained.
Her daughter, Zhao Zhenzhen, was about to take her college entrance exams soon, and her studies were intense. Wu Yan understood and didn’t say anything further.
"Aunt, Uncle."
Luo Fei and his siblings ca over, greeting the couple.
The couple responded to each one, and Wu Xiaohui looked at Luo Fei with satisfaction, "Luo Fei, you’ve been promoted again so quickly, you really have made sothing of yourself. By the way, hasn’t your girlfriend co yet?"
"It’s still early; she might take a while longer."
Wu Xiaohui nodded, chatted a bit more, and then Wu Yan pulled Luo Fei along to continue cooking in the kitchen.
Seeing this, Wu Xiaohui quickly called Zhao Changfa over to help in the kitchen as well.
Wu Yan hurriedly urged them to sit outside instead, "You just sit down. I’m almost done."
"It’s okay, sister. Sitting is boring; I might as well chat with you in the kitchen."
Wu Yan didn’t insist further and said to Luo Fei, who was washing vegetables nearby, "Luo Fei, your aunt and uncle will help here; you go and call your uncle and see when they’re coming."
Luo Fei acknowledged and went out to make the call.
After a few rings, Wu Zhiwei answered, "Luo Fei, what’s up?"
"No worries, Uncle, Mom just wanted to ask when you’ll get here?"
"Soon, soon. Your aunt insisted on buying so fruit for you. Otherwise, we’d already be there."
Wu Zhiwei said cheerfully.
Luo Fei was sowhat surprised to hear this.
Due to a previous incident involving borrowing money, his aunt had kept a distant attitude toward them and hadn’t visited in years.
Although things improved after the debt was settled, there was still a lingering awkwardness due to the incident with Wu Yu, so he hadn’t expected she would be willing to co.
Nonetheless, he said nothing about it, "Well, Uncle, make sure you and Aunt co over soon."
After hanging up, he gave Yang i a call.
"Yang i, are you up?"
"Yes, I’m up. I’ll be there shortly."
"Great, call when you arrive, and I’ll co down to et you."
"Okay."
About ten minutes later, Wu Zhiwei and his wife arrived.
"Uncle, Aunt, you’re here, please co in."
Luo Fei opened the door and invited them in.
Wu Zhiwei handed him the fruits and milk he was carrying, beaming, "Luo Fei, your mom told you’re getting promoted? Good boy, I knew you’d amount to sothing."
His tone was full of pride, and his eyes were slightly moist.
After all, when Luo Fei’s father had that accident, leaving his sister and three children alone, it pained him to think about it.
If he could see their family getting better and better, he would be at ease as her brother.
"Uncle, I couldn’t have achieved what I have today without you and Aunt’s help. I’ll never forget your kindness."
Though Wu Zhiwei had helped the family a lot, his aunt often showed her displeasure, yet considering they were a couple, Luo Fei couldn’t bring that up now and included her in his gratitude.
His aunt was smiling so broadly at his words, "I knew you were the kind to rember kindness, justifying all the love we showered on you."
"But if we talk about our family’s children, you’re the most successful, reaching a high rank at such a young age. You wouldn’t believe how envious my colleagues are when I tell them, it really adds so shine to my face."
Luo Fei’s rapid promotions within the police force, though only there for less than a year, were noticeable, and anyone could see his future was bound to be promising. His aunt wanted to gain favor now before it was too late.
This was also why she was willing not only to co but also to bring so many gifts today.
Luo Fei roughly understood her intentions but remained silent about it.
Sotis, people are like this; it’s normal to flatter those in high positions.
After leading them to the living room, Luo Xiaoxiao and Luo Hao also ca over to greet them, "Uncle, Aunt."
However, their attitude noticeably changed when addressing each; cheerful and lively for the forr, but grudgingly for the latter.
Of course, one couldn’t bla them, as every New Year visit to Wu Zhiwei’s ho ended with them facing their aunt’s cold shoulder.
If it weren’t for Wu Yan insisting on them going every ti, they’d rather not have any interaction with her at all.
So, it was unlikely they’d have a good attitude now.
Luo Fei worried about how this would make Wu Zhiwei feel and secretly glared at the two of them.
