A super cosmic battleship, as giant as the Moon, was hovering in an empty area of space.
Inside this super cosmic battleship, there existed countless creatures, sowhat resembling humans, but with skin like purple potatoes, several tentacles, and multiple eyes on their foreheads.
The number of eyes on these cosmic creatures was not fixed.
The younger ones typically had three to five eyes.
The older ones, however, had a dozen or more eyes.
What’s most astonishing is that the colossal cosmic creature seated in the middle, on sothing akin to a "throne," had a terrifying total of twenty-nine eyes on its forehead.
Its size was also larger than the typical such cosmic creatures.
Other creatures of this cosmic race were generally around two ters tall.
The one sitting on the "throne," however, was about five ters tall.
This was the battleship’s core control room.
Inside, tens of thousands of "technicians" were operating instrunts.
Additionally, in other areas, there were many fully ard warriors, numbering about ten million.
They were the Spiritual Race, a high-level civilization of cosmic species from the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, who had mastered "stellar civilization."
The Spiritual Race ruled around tens of thousands of star systems within the arm.
So intelligent species among them were enslaved.
Other relatively "inferior" intelligent species were obliterated.
A cosmic race capable of ruling tens of thousands of star systems naturally possessed an extraordinary technological civilization.
As such, the energy they consud daily was enormous, and they needed to continuously extract stellar energy to ensure the developnt of the Spiritual Race.
Recently, the Spiritual Race explored the star realm near the solar system and learned that approximately ten star systems existed within ten light-years.
The Triple Star System where Proxima Centauri is found was categorized by them as a single star system, without being distinguished by the number of stars.
Because of discovering ten star systems, the Spiritual Race thought about developnt.
Having traveled a long way, they found that the "energy" within their cosmic battleship was not abundant, making it challenging to develop the stellar system of the Triple Star System.
Therefore, the Spiritual Race set their sights on the more easily developed single stellar system of the solar system.
Their "researchers" believed they could use local materials within the solar system to gather enough materials to construct a "Dyson Sphere" and then draw sufficient energy from the Sun to develop the surrounding star systems.
But to develop the solar system, they first needed to understand the environnt here.
For example, whether there were advanced intelligent life forms.
Or whether these would interfere with their energy extraction, and so on.
If there were advanced intelligent species that might threaten the Spiritual Race, they would abandon the extraction.
If there were no advanced intelligent species capable of threatening the Spiritual Race, they would often pursue one of two strategies.
One was to enslave those advanced intelligent species with value, like the physically strong ones, to use them as laborers.
The other was to exterminate civilizations not very strong and physically weak to prevent the installed "Dyson Sphere" from being destroyed.
To layout the solar system’s energy extraction, the Spiritual Race had been stationed here for approximately two Earth months.
During this ti, they had sent out many probes for investigation.
They even tested and adjusted weapon angles, intending to fire the "gamma-ray burst cannon" to annihilate all life on the planets within this star system in one fell swoop.
In terms of energy, the "gamma-ray burst" could release energy each second approximately equivalent to 0.15 Suns.
It seed that launching the "gamma-ray burst cannon" would not be worthwhile for the Spiritual Race.
In reality, this was not the case.
The so-called energy perspective only referred to the radiation energy released by the star’s nuclear fusion.
If the Spiritual Race were to extract from the solar system, it wouldn’t rely be acquiring solar radiation energy.
They would extract all useful materials within the star system, turning useless ones into energy through "annihilation."
Although they had not mastered complete "annihilation" technology, the energy acquired from incomplete "annihilation" far exceeded that from regular nuclear fusion.
Thus, if the Spiritual Race could fully extract the entire solar system, the benefits would far outweigh the energy expenditure of launching the "gamma-ray burst cannon" by unknown multiples.
Because of this, the Spiritual Race was resolute in their determination to exploit the solar system.

A "high-tech officer" clad in white astronaut gear walked up to the gigantic creature of the Spiritual Race, bowed, and saluted, saying, "Commander Moras, we have conducted the fifteenth probe on this star system. Although intelligent life was previously found on one of the planets, their level of civilization is very low, and their constitution is extrely weak, unsuitable for enslavent as labor. If this probe’s results are no different from previous ones, I believe we can imdiately launch the ’gamma-ray burst cannon’ to exterminate all life in this star system and then fully exploit it."
Commander Moras nodded slightly, "Hmm, worthless waste that offers no utility does not deserve to continue surviving. As long as this probe’s results do not differ significantly from before, then let’s mount the ’gamma-ray burst cannon’ and begin annihilation."
