Lorien's plan was quite clear to Sylas. She wanted to use the conflict between the Thryskai and the Golden Grove to her advantage.

But it wasn't just bold for this alone. She still didn't know what the root of the conflict was, and she didn't even know to what extent it reached.

For all she knew, it really was a coincidence that that feather had appeared there, and she would just end up offending both parties, be found out, and lose her life in the most miserable of ways.

It was, without a doubt, bold. So bold that it was sothing even Sylas would likely not bank on—and definitely not as a pivot point to decide the fate of a plan she had already kicked into high gear.

To say that she was playing with fire was a severe understatent.

Even so, Sylas couldn't help but feel a hint of respect because of it. It wasn't an emotion that he usually had, but it seed appropriate now.

What he knew for certain was that Lorien's chances weren't 0%. At the very least, there was a solid foundation to her thoughts and what was guiding them, for reasons already touched upon.

Sylas stood to his feet.

"Do you know the Beast Warlord Sanctum?" Sylas asked.

Lorien blinked. "Beast Warlord Sanctum?"

Seeing her confusion, Sylas knew that the answer to that was no. Either the Beast Warlord Sanctum was a great distance away, or Lorien was still too low in the Golden Grove to know about them.

But maybe that made sense. Otherwise, she would have likely recognized his Scorpion Warlord Armor.

It seed that being able to make it to the Beast Warlord Sanctum for help was unlikely.

"I'll change my question, then. How do you get to the Golden Grove?"

Lorien's eyes narrowed.

"… There probably is a way in this bazaar. But it won't open for just anyone, and it certainly won't open for you unless you're under Level 31."

"I see… does that an that I need to conquer the Level 50 one?"

Lorien's lip twitched. It was already ridiculous enough that Sylas did this one on his own. The Level 50 Bazaar was where the real powerhouses would be concentrated.

Here, there were still a large swarm of inferior races and various gangs of the like. But over there, there would be no slacks, and he certainly wouldn't be winning battles from over a kiloter away.

"Lead to where the connection hub would be," Sylas said, not waiting for Lorien to respond. "I assu that if there's a connection to the Golden Grove, there's probably one to other bazaars as well, right?"

"I… I think so."

"Good."

Sylas, Lorien, and Nosphaleen stood in a hub that looked a lot like the nuclear reactor plant the System Cities had mimicked. But this ti, the City Stele up ahead was very clearly different.

For one, it was of the Fragnted Grade, while the System Cities had always had Silver Grade City Steles. It seed that that was far more of a big deal than Sylas had ever cared to consider.

The second was that this didn't really seem like a normal City Stele. Sylas pretty quickly realized that it should be a unique variation used for the sake of guilds and such. The progression path was very different, which was probably why he was called a Czar and not a City Lord.

What those exact differences were, Sylas wasn't sure, but it hardly mattered right now. What he did care about, though…

Sylas stared at the coin total. It was such a large sum that, quite frankly, it looked a bit ridiculous on his screen. But then again… it wasn't his money.

This bazaar was the property of the Golden Grove. The money that was here was ant to be used to make the Golden Grove money. After all, like Lorien had said, they were a rchant guild.

Not only did he have to pay out a substantial amount of this in monthly and yearly fees, but this money also had to be used to generate more revenue in the future.

This wasn't just a casual well of wealth to sit on "just because."

'Well, not until today it isn't.'

The mont Sylas reached the Guild Stele and saw the changes, he realized that there was another path forward.

He opened up a nu, entered the Golden Grove Nexus, and went to the Gene section. Imdiately, he filtered by Bronze and then went to the simplest, foundational Genes.

He was shocked by the sheer selection. This was just a Fragnted Guild Stele, and yet it blew what he had been able to see on Earth out of the water.

Good.

Sylas bought 5,000 Bronze Strength Genes, 5,000 Bronze Constitution Genes, 5,000 Bronze Dexterity Genes, 5,000 Bronze Speed Genes, and 5,000 of each of Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, and Will.

They were shockingly cheap. A single one only cost a few tens of thousands of coins. Sylas also had a feeling that this was already a ridiculous markup.

Even so, with everything together, it still cost several billion F Coins.

Sylas calmly stored them away in his Madness Key. He planned to absorb them through Extricate, but it would take a lot of ti to do that properly. So instead, he chose to focus on spending money.

He changed the filters to Silver Genes, and his eyes narrowed when he saw them. It was already asking for 10 E Coins a Gene… to ask for E Coins for an F-Grade Silver Gene, it was absolutely ridiculous.

Sylas still bought 5,000 of each of the Fundantal Genes again.
