"What?"

They saw the screen, feeling a Will reaching out and blanketing their own, but they were still having a hard ti grasping what it was they were seeing.

The word Earth was like a flashbang in their minds. Even if there had been a language barrier, it was irrelevant when the Ancient Ithkuil was practically engraved onto their minds.

This could have been the very first day they had heard the word Progenitor, and yet they would have fully understood exactly what it ant for Sylas to hold such a Title.

However, even while understanding completely, they didn't know how to react.

For one, Sylas wasn't a Clypsian. He was a Human Simioid—whatever that was supposed to an. As far as they knew, this probably ant that the Overlord Race of Earth had swapped hands again. Although there was so solace in the fact he wasn't a Dogon, that wasn't enough for them to feel completely at ease either.

They had spent all of their ti building up their sense of identity around their pride as Clypsians, dreaming of the day they would return to their world as the Overlord Race once more. It would be hard for anyone to accept that their world had suddenly been taken over by another Race likely even more powerful than themselves.

Of course, they didn't really know what a "Human" was. They had no interaction with Humans, and during their ti, the Race that would beco Humans was among the most foolish of the humanoids on Earth.

They were better than monkeys and apes—but barely, in the eyes of the Clypsians. Even now, they hadn't even drawn the connection between those sapiens and Sylas.

Even with all of that said, there was one thing that was very obviously clear—the odds that Sylas was a pawn of the Sylphs was basically zero.

The Clypsians had been here for a long ti, but they were an intelligent Race with far more talent than the Sylphs. That was why the Sylphs were so cautious with how they went about things. In this ti, they had figured out a great deal of things…

Including deducing the bridge plot.

It had to be rembered that back during his battle with the three Monarchs he inevitably saved Nosphaleen from, Sylas had deduced that Nosphaleen was the perfect bridge to Earth for their enemies to use. By becoming an Overlord again, it would make Earth more susceptible to outsiders.

By raising a bridge that was beyond the limits of Earth, you could make Earth more pliable, allowing stronger and stronger characters to target it and bend its rules further.

Of course, Earth now was far stronger once again, currently in the process of progressing to a Grade 10 Silver World—sothing that would surely shock the galaxy once it was complete.

But the point itself still stood.

If Sylas had already beco the Progenitor of Earth, all of the rest of these things were useless. Why bother to raise up the Clypsians when most of the bridge-building could be done by Sylas alone?

With his Progenitor status, Sylas had even been able to bring Lorien to Earth. He suffered not the slightest bit of resistance.

It could be said that if Sylas wanted to destroy Earth right now, he could. Earth had no barriers up against him at all.

But by the sa token… that ant if they put their lives in the hands of Sylas, they would never be able to reach their goal, and their dreams of being a Race of people that could stand tall once again would be finished.

Their path to Overlord was cut off forever. They would forever be relegated to the corner of the universe, tossed into the piles of Races that could only scratch, claw, and hope for a single Level up without the system's assurance and support.

All of these thoughts flashed in the minds of these veterans all at once… but how could Sylas not understand it?

Even if he didn't have Nosphaleen by his side, he would be able to understand it—let alone the fact he understood the pride and hopes of this Race through her quite well.

However, he also couldn't go around telling people that he could just make Overlords whenever he so pleased. Not to ntion the fact it wasn't easy—why would he so casually trust a Race of people so much more powerful than his own?

They might think Humans were stronger than them now, but their only asuring stick was Sylas himself. Even the most powerful Humans didn't stand much of a chance against most Clypsians, let alone the average Human.

If Sylas promised to make them all Overlords, they would well and truly beco the Overlords of Earth.

Of course, Sylas didn't really care if that happened. He had no unique loyalty to Earth. But he wanted to maintain full control over the planet nonetheless—for the sake of his family.

Right now, no one dared to touch his parents, little sister, and grandfather… and he preferred to keep it that way.

All Races had their flaws, and gratefulness was a thread that ran short far too quickly. Even if they were grateful to him for a few years, soon enough they would begin to take it for granted, and then so of the more sinister of them would try to take advantage.

He couldn't be on Earth all the ti. He couldn't afford to make such promises.

Plus, once again… it wasn't so easy to just make Overlords. If it was, he wouldn't be going through so much trouble right now. He was taking this risk specifically because it wasn't so easy.

Sylas needed a different approach—one that didn't require overselling on promises. Although he could lie, he preferred not to in this case. That was because the Clypsians would most definitely be more useful as allies than enemies.

So, there was a very simple way to do all of this.

Take another risk.

Sylas cancelled his Fusion, and Nosphaleen appeared.
