The Duchess walked into the room soon afterward, her body radiating a scent of deathly roses. It slt of blood and sweetness.

Veins of red extended from the corners of her eyes and she looked on the verge of losing her mind.

At first, she hadn't felt that it was too big of a deal to stop drinking the blood of the Azurex. When she felt so resistance to it, her pride helped her to keep that feeling at bay. But now it had almost been a minute or two and she practically had to drag herself here.

Sylas looked back when he sensed sothing was wrong, his eyes narrowing. In the end, he chose to look away.

He hadn't been sure how much of the legends the Sanguara followed. But it seed it was more than he thought.

The difference was that the Duchess didn't seem to be acting like this because she had too little blood. She was acting like this because she had had too much of it.

"Bleed yourself out if you want to regain control of yourself."

Sylas tossed a vial over his head and the Duchess caught it. Her gaze flickered from the vial to Sylas' neck and then back again. After a long while, she used a claw and drew it across the length of her forearm.

More blood than should have ever been able to fit in her body poured out in what were practically waves of crimson. Yet, the vial seed capable of swallowing it all.

Slowly, the madness in the Duchess' eyes faded. She seed to also notice at that point that this wasn't a weakness of her bloodline. Actually, it was a strength.

Her limits extended to infinity, and when she had more blood than she could consu herself or control, her body was actually able to convert it into a savage Will.

Not only did this take sothing that was purely a physical enhancent and turn it into sothing far more potent, it made her instincts in battle wilder and far harder to predict.

What the Duchess didn't quite understand was how Sylas had figured that out before she had. Why did it feel like he understood her ancestry better than she did?

Well, much like how Vipermancy had allowed Sylas to command Demonic Serpentes, there didn't seem to be much of a difference in whether he used the Life and Death Seals on Demons or Humanoids.

As the Duchess was lost in thought, there was a sudden flash and Nosphaleen appeared.

"It's done?" Sylas asked.

Nosphaleen nodded, her gaze a bit somber. She also seed injured, but the fact she had managed to protect herself in a world of D-tiers went to show just how much more powerful she had beco.

"It was easy after the supple line was ford."

Sylas nodded slowly.

In reality, because of how his Hibernation Realm worked, if he left the world he was in, it wasn't like others couldn't follow after him. That just left a huge portal in the outside world that he couldn't exactly manage himself.

Nosphaleen had had to protect it for one, but also move the portal to another location. As for that location...

The world warped around Sylas and he found himself in the middle of a dark gold fog he recognized all too well.

The Golden Battlefield.

Stepping out here, Sylas felt that sa familiar feeling. The expansive formation of complex Spaceti Runes danced around him, his eyes able to capture them all thanks to his Runeweaver Eyes.

By now, Sylas was already a Spark Master of the E-Grade. Every day, he grew stronger even when he didn't actively practice Rune Mastery.

The foundation he had managed to lay in the Weaver Guild was invaluable, and with Seeing Weaver, he saw Runes in everything from Skills, to Treasures, to the very world itself.

Even if he was a fool, he would be able to accelerate his growth to exaggerated levels...

Let alone the fact he was Sylas Grimblade.

Sylas certainly had the capital to start learning D-Grade Runes. There were plenty of D-Grade Rune Masters out there that had only ever reached Rune Soul in E-Grade Rune Mastery, so that had only ever reached Rune Flesh, so even worse than that.

As a Spark Master of the E-Grade, Sylas certainly had the capital. He just wasn't satisfied with his progress even in the F-Grade, let alone the E-Grade.

Even if he had the capital to just bulldoze his way forward... he didn't want to.

Not yet.

But honestly, for the first ti, Sylas wasn't sure how to progress anymore.

Sure, in the E-Grade, he had plenty of room to grow. But he already knew what would happen. He would eventually reach Void Mastery in it as well, and then be stuck in the sa rut.

Of course, calling his current level a "rut," especially when he hadn't been stuck in it for even a couple months, was a bit ridiculous.

But Sylas had too many things on his plate and couldn't afford to stall out... especially since he knew that the answer he wanted likely couldn't even be found in the halls of Demi-Gods. Only God Worlds would likely have the information he wanted.

He didn't know the exact nas of his current Rune Mastery, but what he did know was that Perfect Spark Mastery was seen as a holy grade to the Weaver Guild even at the F-tier, let alone later Grades.

Yet, when Sylas had stepped foot in there, he was already a step beyond at Pure Spark Mastery, a level they didn't even have a word for or an understanding of.

Then he took yet another step beyond that, stepping into Void Mastery.

This was all to say that Sylas wasn't going to run into any libraries that had the information he needed anyti soon. His only path forward was figuring it out himself.

Sylas took out sothing that had been burning a hole in his back pocket for a long while.
