Sylas looked up into the skies, but he didn't feel anything wrong. He only felt that the world was breathing sohow, as though it had gasped awake, but more subtly.

His brows wrinkled the slightest bit.

Fanelei looked back, confused about the fact that Sylas was just standing there. The road was quite wide and no one would bother them on the way to the city-and even if they did, she was here-but it was still odd.

Sylas wasn't actually worried. No matter who was scheming against him, they could have never guessed that he would have the ability to command an A-tier to do his bidding. That was well outside the realm of possibilities.

Even so, Sylas didn't want to use Fanelei at all if he didn't have to. If he could have gotten away with it, he wouldn't have brought her along at all.

The problem was that using Fanelei too boldly and too early would alert the Seeing Eye Guild. And though the Beast Emperor Sanctum shouldn't have anyone powerful enough to deal with her, the Seeing Eye Guild certainly would.

In addition, the world of organizations existed for a purpose. Even Fanelei couldn't just stroll into the Beast Emperor Sanctum because she felt like it.

They had formations, defensive artifacts, not to ntion the fact that their territory itself suppressed outsiders while bolstering their own kind.

Fanelei was probably easily 50% stronger than the best expert the Beast Emperor Sanctum had. But even if all the other advantages were ignored, the sheer number of Beast Emperor Sanctum experts would tip the scales.

To Sylas, Fanelei was a failsafe, not a hot button to smash down on the mont the slightest bit of trouble breathed down his neck.

The problem was that Sylas wasn't sure if this could be considered a "slight" bit of trouble.

"Let's enter the city," Sylas finally said.

In order to make it from here to the Beast Emperor Sanctum, there were two thods. The first was diplomacy, and the second was a thod that Sylas was already well aware of, as he had once done it before.

Their trial.

In the forr 073 Warlord Sanctum, the trial included making it through their galaxy and pirates to not only arrive at the Sanctum, but display their ingenuity and might. Then, once within the Sanctum, one would face a gauntlet.

That said, the gauntlet Sylas faced back then had to be rembered as sothing that wasn't normal for the casual disciple. Sylas, specifically, had to face such a thing because he was becoming Gralith's disciple.

This ti, there was no such thing. However... Sylas was technically becoming sothing far greater than that by stepping into Beast Emperor Sanctum territory.

For that, Rhykan was certainly correct about one thing-that Sylas wanted more information.

He had already read the rule book front to back and understood all its intricacies. But that wasn't what he wanted to know.

He wanted to understand what made the very culture of the Beast Emperor Sanctum tick, and he couldn't do that by just ascending their stairs.

Technically, the ascent of the stairs was the third thod of entering the Emperor Sanctum. Doing so from a Beast Warlord Sanctum proved your talent and thus granted you a position as a disciple in the Emperor Sanctum.

The test was grueling. The fact that Gralith had almost died was a testant to that. Though, in his defense, he had been blocking the pressure for both himself and Sylas at the ti.

However, that was only one of the reasons Sylas didn't climb the steps. The other reason was because doing so successfully would alert all of the other Beast Warlord Sanctums. And if they knew that he was gone, the protective badge his existence gave to the now 001 Sanctum would vanish.

In truth... that could be considered the true and most substantive reason.

But Rhykan couldn't fathom the idea that Sylas would feel any sort of protective spirit toward those outside of his family. He underestimated how much Sylas cared about Gralith.

In the end, however, that was sothing that helped Sylas. One less person Rhykan was likely to target just for the sake of it.

...

Gold City, the capital of the planet, was quite easy to enter. It only required a fee. Though that was only relatively speaking.

The fee for a non-citizen without a permit cost about 10% of what Sylas had put into his current spacecraft back in the Milky Way, and that was a space vessel with parts of a B-tier ship incorporated into it—for just one person.

Luckily, Sylas didn't have to pay himself, and he had begun to feel about money in the wider universe much the sa way he had felt about it on Earth... He could make as much of it as he wanted, whenever he wanted.

With Sylas' current group of Titles and mastery of F- and E-Grade Rune Mastery, he bet that with a few days of focused study, he could figure out how to draw Silver D-Grade Genes.

Once he did that, he could make money hand over fist.

Even if one didn't look at Genes, what Sylas had managed to do with the Guardian Angel Set was still sothing burned into the minds of those who had seen it.

A man with the ability to allow a Legendary Path Treasure to Tier Jump was invaluable. It was hard to even place a price tag on that in the first place.

And Sylas had done that before reaching Infinite Void Mastery.

So what could he do now?

Unfortunately, Fanelei didn't bear the sa sentints about money. The fact that she was spending it actually seed to hurt her.

Was it Gluttony bleeding over into Greed again? Sylas wasn't sure. But it did also tell him that she had probably held back on the F-Grade Treasure she had "showered" him with.

'Hm?' Sylas looked off into the bustling city. 'Soone big has arrived.'

He could feel the spatial fluctuation in the air.
