Bulese sensed that her heart stopped beating for several seconds. These were all just speculations; Sylas had made a pretty good counter to their speculations.

"This doesn't explain why he has a Legend by his side."

"This..." Bulese didn't know what to say. The gears in her brain were turning, but there was no obvious answer. Then sothing suddenly clicked for her. "I can only speculate, Ancestor, but if I'm correct then this Legend is likely one of the Weaver Guild."

Maldrith paused. The Weaver Guild was a true powerhouse organization.

The absolute strongest of the Skai Galaxy were the Thryskai, whether that was the Mortal Realm, the Demi-God Realm, or the God Realm. However, in terms of the Mortal Realm, the Weaver Guild was about as close to the peak as you could get without being the Thryskai themselves.

In fact, there probably wasn't much of a difference between the Purvon, Sona, Buri, and the Weaver or Seeing Eye Guild. As far as there was a gap, it was slight at the highest levels, in the foundation of their Races, and in the support they had in the Demi-God Realm.

For obvious reasons, while there were sotis conflicts between the Thryskai and other Races, it was always within certain paraters.

There were limitations on how much Demi-Gods could interfere in the Mortal Realm. But if they felt their bottom line was being crossed, they could certainly sacrifice enough to force a change.

That was especially so now that they had lost a Demi-God Clan. The Thryskai probably felt more vulnerable now than ever before. They wouldn't allow their bottom line to be tested. Ever.

It could be stated that because of this, Sylas' days were very much numbered... or maybe it was the case that the attack of the Angels was very much related to this.

Who knew?

This aside, the Weaver Guild was not a joke. What Maldrith didn't understand was how the Weaver Guild could ever allow one of their own to have such close ties to the Emperor Sanctum. Was it... on purpose?

Was Sylas a double agent?

But Bulese had said he was from a Summoned World. Was that just a ploy?

There was too much Maldrith didn't understand about what was going on here.

"... We are returning to the Emperor Sanctum," he said coldly.

Maldrith took a step as though he had forgotten about the hole in his chest, his great-grandnephew and niece being dragged through the void of space with him.

Sylas continuously coughed and Fanelei realized that she didn't know exactly what to do. She was very good at healing herself, but healing others wasn't sothing she was used to. In addition, many of her thods of healing relied on eating and Gluttony.

Sylas had lost his Gluttony Madness Key, so there were many things that she couldn't do in this regard. The Key was far more than just a chain, although she had implored Sylas to understand that both it and the Scorned Wraps were exactly that.

Thinking furiously for a mont, Fanelei pressed her palms together and her Runes began to flood with life.

Even if she wasn't good at healing, she was ultimately an A-tier Rune Master. The things she could do for an E-tier bordered on godlike.

The problem was, though, that Sylas' injuries didn't seem normal. If they were just caused by Bulese, that would be easy to handle. But at the end there, Sylas had suffered another blow.

A blow from a world.

The Gold World had lashed out at Sylas' acute control of it.

Fanelei didn't know exactly what Sylas had done, but she knew for a fact that this had to be what was going on. It was the only explanation for how she could nearly one-shot Maldrith on his own world when she had originally been expecting a battle of attrition.

Despite the fact it looked like she hadn't put all her effort into that attack, that wasn't actually true. At least it wasn't true intent-wise, though it functionally ended up like this.

Sylas didn't have the ti to explain what he was doing. He was strained on every level.

So when he told Fanelei to attack, she did so in the way she thought made the most sense: with her physical body.

Her body was the one thing she was confident that Maldrith could neither manipulate nor stall. She had rightfully assud that this was a ti-sensitive matter and acted as such. What she had wrongfully assessed was how serious Sylas had been.

When Sylas said they would kill soone in one shot, he wasn't trying to play mind gas with the enemy, nor was he exaggerating.

He was Sylas Grimblade. He didn't exaggerate or bluff.

Not when he was pissed off, at least.

Fanelei didn't pick up on that and thought she was helping. Unfortunately, her actions had left a huge enemy behind, and it would be very difficult to get another similar set of circumstances... At least that was what Fanelei thought.

In reality, Sylas could recreate those exact circumstances easily. It was just a matter of whether Maldrith would give him the ti to after nearly losing his life the first ti.

They had had the perfect opportunity to catch the Progenitor off guard, and the end result not only exposed Fanelei's existence but did so for nothing in return.

"Dammit."

Sylas said the word again, seemingly not feeling Fanelei's attempts to heal him. He wasn't even angry with her; he was angry with himself.

This was the second ti. The second ti he had been forced to rely on soone else and suffered for it.

The first ti was relying on Rhykan to escape the Seeing Eye Guild's territory. And this ti, he had relied on Fanelei being smart enough to pick up everything on the fly.

The first ti, he was betrayed. This ti, Fanelei had overthought the situation and done sothing unnecessary.

In the end, the common denominator was still him.

He was still too weak.

Still the sa young man who had his Legendary Gene snatched by an arrogant, spoiled brat.

Fury peeled through Sylas' veins like razor blades.
