[Trial of the Monkey King (Gold)]

[Level Maximum: 51]

[Description: ...]

'Gold,' Sylas thought calmly.

He had sowhat prepared for this possibility, but this would make things tricky for sure. Even if he were at full health, clearly a Gold Dungeon would be a problem.

It had to be understood that this was unique from the ranking system that included Astral- or Empyrean-level Dungeons. This was a Mirror Dungeon. As such, it wasn't designed to be placed on the ranks of Dungeons across galaxies or Sectors.

That was to say, while those Dungeons had their difficulties decided by relativity, this was a raw assessnt of the Dungeon's danger.

This ranking was so high in one part because of the evolution of the Mirror Dungeon, and in another part because Sylas was the Ancestor of the Monkey King Lineage.

It almost couldn't have gone any other way.

He would have felt more confident if this were the F-tier. But this was the E-tier.

He had known from the start that there was a possibility of this happening, but he had thought it was small. The Emperor Sanctum might have improved toward Demi-Godhood thanks to him, but that evolution was happening over ti, and this was the very start of the period.

'Soone sped things up.'

This was already the second ti in this journey that Rhykan had interfered. Sylas wasn't sure about the Maldrith situation, but this... this slled of foul play.

It seed that maybe he had underestimated Rhykan a little bit too.

If this were a Silver Dungeon, it would be a breeze. But how was he going to clear a Gold Dungeon he would have struggled with at full health? In fact, the odds of his surviving would have been less than 50% even then.

The good thing about Mirror Dungeons like this was that he could quit before death. But... what good was that?

If he quit, then he'd just have an army of A-tiers waiting out here to take his life.

"Gogo. Nosphaleen."

Gold rippled and the duo appeared before Sylas.

One of them was a beautiful serpent with scales as black as night, etched with grooves of gold. The crown of its head was ford of bones that radiated a similarly golden light.

Sylas nodded.

[Basilisk King (Gold)]

[Level: 50]

[Nosphaleen Tideborn (Sacred)]

[Level: 50]

There were truly too many things on his plate. Sylas had thought that he could get away with not forcing Gogo and Nosphaleen's progression into the E-tier, but it seed that he would have to.

This was fine enough for Nosphaleen, who had pretty much reached the end of her potential, but it would be harder on Gogo since he had yet to.

Gogo would still need to reach Legendary, and then Sacred, before he finally did.

As for Nosphaleen, her Race's limit had been Gold, so reaching Gold alone was enough for her to cross the Sacred barrier.

It had to be rembered that the asure of Sacred wasn't an actual Grade in itself, but instead a asure of domination in relation to one's own Grade. This was why, despite the two technically being of the sa Grade, while Nosphaleen was Sacred, Gogo's stats were actually better than Nosphaleen's.

"You asked what you needed to do?" Sylas said. "Follow my instruction. I'll need your help to smoothly help them progress to the E-tier."

The fat governnt worker suddenly jolted to his feet, his eyes going wide.

He finally connected the dots and almost fainted on the spot. But before he could make any sort of call or communicate what was going on, the doors to the building shattered. When he saw what was on their lapels, he directly fainted.

There was nothing provocative there, or so it seed. It was nothing but a leather plate embroidered with the claw mark of a beast. But everyone in the Emperor Sanctum recognized this group.

The Enforcent Claw.

There were two branches of enforcent in the Emperor Sanctum. One was the Enforcent Wing and the other was the Enforcent Claw. The forr dealt with matters of rules, law, trials, and interrogation. The latter, however... They only appeared to kill.

Made up of so of the strongest Mountain Disciples of the Sanctum, they were given unilateral rights to slay first and ask questions later... if they ever even cared to.

The first was a man of short stature. He was barely 5'4, if that, and he radiated the aura of a Dove, a Lineage that would have been familiar to Sylas had he seen one of the Emperor disciples observing the gathering back then.

The second was a woman. She was easily over six and a half feet tall, her shoulders as broad as her chest. Yet another familiar aura radiated from her as well... the aura of the Lizard Emperor.

Her every step was as heavy as a mountain, and when her presence filled the space, on the very edge of teetering into the C-tier, it suffocated even many of those already at the Tier.

Everyone cleared the way, not a single soul daring to get in their way. But when they reached their target, he had already fainted.

That only lasted for a mont before he was screaming.

The Emperor Dove had sohow already appeared, sitting on the fat man's chest. One of the latter's arms had vanished. Not cut off, not rolling into the distance-just vanished.

"If you'd like a chance to live," he said calmly, "I hope you'll stay awake from now on. Now, who was it that activated a request for 666539-5464?"

The fat man's scream was caught in his throat as he fainted again.

The horror show was short, but lasted far too long for the tastes of those present. In the end, they got the information they wanted, but they were greeted with a troubleso reality.

Sylas had probably already entered.

Suppressing information was important, but it ca with its drawbacks too. If everyone had been inford, there was no way Sylas would have slipped through that easily. But who would have known that Sylas would have the nerve to take advantage of such a thing?

"I'll go," the Emperor Dove said. "You report back."
