"You... want to fight ...?" Keyesen let out a hollow, disbelieving laugh.

He didn't understand much of what was going on. He had always been too rash and arrogant in his life, so there was quite a lot his grandfather and father had simply never told him.

The re fact that upon their first eting in so long Keyesen had said that he would kill Eliwine was proof enough of this. But now, Eliwine was dead by a careless swipe of Sylas' scythe and now he located himself in league with a sea of traitors.

To top it off, there was all of this pent up fury within him that he didn't quite know what to do with. It was like the world was pulling the greatest practical joke on him.

This... was not funny at all. Not in the slightest.

Keyesen began to walk down the stairs. He passed by Bella's stunned form as though she wasn't worth more than the crap and shit by the side of the road to him, his eyes seeping with a crimson light.

Arcs of erald mixed in with his violet aura, coming out the edges of his eyes and tearing the Will in the air apart.

By the ti he reached the bottom of the stairs, his montum had reached its peak. He pulled out a spear with a head so wild and jagged it seed it couldn't decide whether to be a spear or a warring glaive.

He couldn't rember the last ti soone beneath him had forced him to bring out his weapon. But he seed to feel as though sothing within him needed to be vented, a fury buried in the depths of his soul raging and wanting to bark its way out.

Keyesen had never been simply a pervert nor was he simply so prodigal son. The fact he could look an Ancestor level character in the eye and wish death upon them had been proof enough of this.

He had a Pride that was deep within his bones, one that simply wasn't allowed to form beneath the might of Sylas'

own.

In another life, another mont, this goading and prodding would have allowed him to form a connection with the Sin of Pride.

Unfortunately for him... there was no such chance.

But Keyesen didn't know this. All he knew was that he was being humiliated, that his family was being ostracized, that his Scorpion Lineage was being treated like a dog that had pissed down the leg of The Sanctum.

Never. He would never allow this.

He stopped just three ters from Deacon, his armor crackling into existence. Every location a bolt of lightning landed ford another shingle until he was adorned from head to toe in a Runic Armor that swirled with colors of violet and the most resplendent of vibrant greens.

The forr color ford the large majority of his armor while the latter blood in fractal patterns that almost looked like burned electrical marks across wood.

There was a certain beauty to it that forced the world to acknowledge its presence. It was sothing that would have left the Cycle of Emperors in awe... If they hadn't just spent the last several days watching Sylas form one Armor after another that was vastly superior in every single way possible.

White gold swirled around Deacon and before Keyesen could even demand the forr summon his armor, he had already tapped a foot to the ground and materialized before Keyesen in a flashing instant.

Keyesen reacted quickly, his spear-glaive forming a block in front of him. A great amount of power slamd into him, a speed the likes of which touched beyond the realms of reason boring down on him.

If not for tracking Deacon's Will, Keyesen was sure he could have had his heart severed in two in a single go.

Deacon retracted his sword and thrust again, and then again. The skies were filled with his thrusts, a dancing array of lights.

Keyesen took one step back after another until his heel slamd into sothing. He didn't need to look back to know that it was the stairs of the temple. He had run out of places to run.

Chi.

A line of blood was cut out from his cheek, his body feeling as though it was being suppressed from all sides at once.

Deacon roared, years of frustration billowing out from him as the arcs of white-gold wings that almost looked like they belonged on an angel spread out from his back.

But they weren't real. The Runes in the air were spontaneously forming them.

The breaths of the Emperors hitched. Wasn't this Spark Mastery? Spark Mastery of the D-tier? How was this possible?

That was when it clicked for them. This wasn't true Spark Mastery. Instead, it was Spark Mastery that was dialed into a very specific use case.

Sylas had essentially allowed them to use their Wills as a conduit for a Spark Mastery Path perfectly tailored to their Rune Armors.

Monster.

Even though it was Deacon fighting, it felt like they were watching puppet strings plucked from Sylas' own fingers pulling on the lines of fate themselves.

Keyesen's weapon was blown out of his hands.

Deacon's sword thrust with a great amount of speed, aiming for the Scorpion descendant's throat. But just as he was about to cut right through it, he stopped and pulled back.

He vanished and then his sword appeared again, this ti aiming for Keyesen's heart. But once again, he stopped, pulling back at the last mont and leaving just the smallest nick.

Again and again, he flickered around Keyesen, moving so fast he broke the laws of reason. Every flap of his Runic wings and flickering flutter of his Runic feathers ascending him to another level... Until his sword landed on Keyesen's crotch.

PUCHI.

A lance of light tore through the Scorpion descendant's crown jewels, ripping them to shreds until nothing remained.

The roar that followed curdled the blood, a Will crackling with endless streams of poison erald lightning erupting.
