Sylas could feel his armor about to give way, but in that mont, the deathly cold in his eyes was only deepening.

There was a sharp edge to him at the mont that could be summarized in a single line.

He wouldn't be denied.

Droplets of Blood Essence pooled into his claws, the arms of his Scorpion Warlord Armor pulsing with great might as he reforged the Runes with the Blood Essence itself.

There was a sudden eruption of power and strength, and Sylas clamped down on the lance-arrow with a tempest of explosive might.

BANG!

Sylas attempted to complete a fusion with the Bone-Tailed Lizard, but failed. He was too injured from the stakes to make it through, but he didn't falter a single mont, having already expected this much.

Semi-Fusion.

He might not be able to complete a full fusion, but that wasn't the end of the world either, because the Will of his Scorpion Warlord Armor was growing so much stronger, fusing with Serpentes while it was active was also growing far more difficult.

If he had succeeded, maybe he would have ended up weakening the armor.

But this way…

Spinecoil Poison pulsed with life, pouring into Sylas' Scorpion Tail.

His armor beca entirely black, and in that mont, the hint of violet in the armor vanished entirely, becoming a mass of deathly black.

The bone shards that stuck out of his armor in every which direction began to morph and change, and all of a sudden, the lance-arrow of bone that Sylas had just shattered beca gauntlets that covered his fists.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Sylas punched in a continuous rain, the arrows that ca to follow up shattering and adding to his arsenal.

More golden Blood Essence poured into the air, and Poison Runes took shape one after another.

Vaekra's expression changed. She felt her connection to her own bones cut off in a way she hadn't experienced since her evolution.

But she didn't have the ti to think about it for long, because Sylas was already on the move.

Glass and bone filled the skies, and one Dogon after another collapsed.

BOOM!

Sylas landed on the bloody waters before Vaekra, a poisonous mist exuding from his body.

The Spinecoil Poison was a Poison Aether ford from the Spinecoil Serpent, a Bronze King Beast. Its number of Foundations was already at 60 at the F-Grade.

With the Scorpion Warlord Tail's special ability to Mature Poison Runes to the sa level of Mastery, this ant that Sylas was exuding a 60 Foundation Rune at Essence Mastery.

Simply put…

It was overwhelming.

In its presence, Vaekra found that she couldn't even control her own Unique Gene abilities anymore.

She tapped her foot on the ground, quickly trying to make so distance. She knew that she had to get out of the way of Sylas' rampage and take advantage of her ranged abilities. There was no other choice.

However, as she extended the distance, the fellow mbers of her Race weren't nearly so lucky.

To the side, the head of a Dogon spontaneously combusted, their skull suddenly growing an array of spikes.

To another, a Dogon's chest blood open like flowers, their ribs splitting open as though to display their inner organs to the world.

On yet another side, a Dogon fell to their knees, their legs hyperextending in the wrong direction. Their bone poked out at odd angles, becoming spears that ripped through their own chest.

Every step Sylas took forward, his fog of poison expanded, his tail slowly swaying behind him. Pulses of golden Blood Essence pooled into the air, increasing his power and range by several fold.

Even without a scythe, he had beco a God of Death, with those that were near him spontaneously falling to their deaths.

Sylas reached out with his hands, his palms clenching. The bodies of the dead convulsed, the bone bending and twisting until they ford their own lance-arrows… much larger than anything Vaekra had created.

Even now, Vaekra was still sending one rain of arrows after another toward Sylas, but every ti they crossed into the fog of black, she lost control of them.

She had thought that her new abilities would make her an invincible archer; she had an endless supply of arrows right at her fingertips. Never did she think that this would sohow beco her greatest weakness.

Realizing the problem, Vaekra had no choice but to stop producing her own arrows, her expression turning somber as she began to pluck arrows out of her spatial device.

However, it was clear that the mont she did, her strength plumted. She couldn't control these arrows through the air as easily, she couldn't pour as much Aether into them, and their sturdiness was lacking compared to her own bone.

Vaekra gritted her teeth and the bone armor that coated her beca thicker. Runes began to crawl across the stony white surface like tattoos being etched into reality.

Her Physical Stats began to pool together, increasing in waves as she pulled back one arrow after another. Her face was quickly paling as she gave it her everything.

This was the man that had killed her brother. There was no one who wanted Sylas dead more than her.

Unfortunately, this was the real world. There was no amount of emotion that would change an absolute gap in strength and power.

The last ti Sylas t Vaekra, he had no choice but to let her go. Even now, the threat of his Overlord status being stolen was still looming over his head.

But now, the situation was very different.

[Glassvolt Shift].

Vaekra's expression changed as she felt a mirror of Glass appear behind her. She hurriedly turned around, only for Sylas to cast [Glassvolt Shift] again in quick succession.

His fist crashed into her back with the montum of a falling mountain.

Vaekra felt as though her spine might shatter in two, but worse than that, she could feel the Spinecoil Poison pool around her.

She coughed up a mouthful of blood as she shot forward, but Sylas punched out, pulling on Aetherflow.

A fist appeared where Vaekra was flying toward, slamming into her head.

She found herself flying back in the opposite direction, her body not in her control at all as a shin cut against the side of her head.

Every blow poured more poison into her body. Her Will fought against it as violently as she could, but the blows were continuous. Even when she thought she might get out of it, a fist of Aetherflow ford from thin air, hitting her right back to her starting position.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Sylas shifted and moved, his body as nimble and quick as strikes of lightning, relentless in his pursuit.

He had already forgotten everything, his mind focused on just a single thought.

Victory.

Victory.

Victory.

Be Strong.

His eyes flashed with red, a giggle echoing through his ears once again. His Will ripped through Vaekra's own, his telekinesis finally catching a grip on her beaten and bloodied form. Fog of black oozed out of her body, cracks littering her bone armor.

Sylas held out a hand, his telekinesis freezing Vaekra in place. There was a flash in the depths of his pupils, and his Gluttony Seed roared with life.

CRACK.

A scream ca from Vaekra's mouth for the first ti, her bone armor crushing every bone in her body.

All at once, the lance-arrows he ford of the Dogon corpses shot forward, skewering her from all sides.
