'The trial…'
Sylas looked around, but rather than a sea of white like the past, he was still in the sa sea of blackness, the twinkling stars winking from a distance.
'This choice…'
Sylas looked through his status screen. His stats had changed again.

'Hm? It's the exact sa. Why did I think that…?'
Sylas frowned. His mind no longer felt foggy. He felt sharp, well-rested, alert. He wouldn't make a mistake like that.
'Oh…'
Sylas had gotten into the habit of using Will to scan the strength of opponents rather than a Scouting Skill because his own was far too weak. He had subconsciously done so on himself, and felt the dip in strength.
The last ti he woke up, he was certainly far stronger than he was now despite being more well-rested.
Quickly, he learned of the reason why.
Most of his Skills, his Comprehensions, his Classes, even, had fallen into a state of dormancy.
Each of them had Gene requirents to unlock them. But rather than affecting his stats directly, they seed to more affect their Effectiveness.
Losing Madness was especially annoying, because without the more than 1000% boost to his Will and Charisma combined, his telekinesis would be far weaker than usual.

[Unlock FFF Madness Comprehension?]
[>50 Silver Genes]
—
All things considered… the price was actually sowhat cheap. If anyone could just trade this number of Genes in the outside world in exchange for such a Comprehension, they would jump on the chance.
But the fact he already had it but had to unlock it again, all while not having it to rely on in the first place…
Sylas shook his head. Even at his full power, taking down sothing with Silver Genes would certainly be a task and a half. With so much suppressed, he couldn't even begin to understand how he might go about doing that.

[Unlock Legendary Class Throne of Glassvolt Heir?]
[>50 000 Silver Genes]
—
Sylas shook his head again.
The good news? It seed that this world had a ceiling of Silver Genes and it wouldn't be asking him to gather anything else.
The bad news? It seed that this world had a ceiling of Silver Genes.
It seed he really would have to take drastic asures to deal with his current Madness Key problem.

[Unlock Fragnted Class Junior Primate?]
[>100 Fragnted Genes]
—
He assud that any equivalent would be fine as well. He rembered that he could fuse 10 Fragnted Genes into a Common Gene in the past, so he probably just needed one Bronze Gene to unlock his Junior Primate Class.
Unlocking the Skills would also be easier. Each only cost one Common Gene equivalent. And with how high his Will was, Berserk would definitely be a great help.
It seed that this ti, Sylas had gotten lucky.
At first, he thought that he had sowhat gotten screwed over by this Fragnted Class even though he knew that there was definitely so secret to it if the system listed it as an equivalent reward to the other option. But now, the fact he had a Fragnted Class was his saving grace.
He would be able to unlock so real strength before anyone else. And…
'The Madness Key and the Scorned Wraps are still here.'
Sylas cracked his knuckles, slamming his fists together as he made the very sa choice he did the first ti he saw this screen.

[7-Day Soft Gene Elixir Selected]
—
The world warped around him.
…
The first thing Sylas felt was a chilling cold. It licked against his skin, but seeped in with a wetness that made goosebumps crawl all over him.
It had been a long while since Sylas felt cold like this. Usually, with his affinities, cold didn't bother him. But with Glassvolt Heir suppressed, the affinities that ca along with it suffered as well.
That said… there were many things that the system hadn't suppressed, or maybe wouldn't because they were abilities ingrained into him.
First, his Progenitor Fla Abilities were just fine. This was only natural, this was his Progenitor Quest. Why would they suppress his Progenitor Fla Abilities?
Second, his Rune Mastery. They could suppress Comprehension because it manifested as changes to his Genes—which was why most could only fuse with one. But Rune Mastery was a different animal altogether.
And third, from what it seed, though his stats were suppressed, they were only done to what would be his new baseline.
The reason his ntal was so high wasn't just because of his Charisma not being suppressed… but also because even while dormant, his Throne of Glassvolt Heir Class had raised the floor of his Intelligence and Wisdom by a great deal.
So, when Sylas felt the chill, he did the obvious thing.
Aether skin manifested over his body, a neutral Aether protecting him seamlessly from head to toe.
'It seems I'm a bit unluckier this ti.'
Sylas looked around at the endless white around him, his bare feet crunching the snow beneath him.
The first ti he entered a trial, he had ended up in a particularly warm climate. He expected that those who were unlucky enough to end up in the tundra likely died at higher rates.
But this ti… he had the skills to protect himself.
His claws glistened in the beaming sunlight above and his visualization spread out.
He almost exhaled with satisfaction. It wasn't until now that he understood just how restricting 101 Luck had been. With his Luck being at over 2000… or rather over 2, now, it felt like he could finally breathe.
From 100 ters, his range extended further and further, fueled by his powerful Forging Will until he covered a distance of over two kiloters. He felt that he could push it even further, but it wasn't remotely worth the strain.
'Danger…' Sylas thought to himself, his eyes narrowing.
