Gao Wen paced with his hands behind his back:
“But it is hard to believe that in just a few hundred years, with merely dozens of drives, the Millennium Stakes would bee unstable… It’s a bit too fragile, isn’t it?”
“Even for us humans, a few hundred years is not too long, let alone from a cosmic or temporal perspective. A few hundred years is but a drop in the ocean, is it really meaningful to lock in such a short period of history?”
Liu Feng shrugged his shoulders:
“Uh, let me interrupt for a moment.”
He cleared his throat twice:
“Both of your ideas are great and imaginative, but… to put it simply, these are your imaginations. I don’t deny that there is a significant possibility that these imaginations might be correct, but some evidence is needed to substantiate them, right?”
“Without evidence, relying solely on imagination, we can neither determine the truth nor find the root cause to address it.”
“For example, the issue Gao Wen just raised about ‘a single Millennium Stake can only lock history for a few hundred years’ is indeed contradictory, making it seem like this technology is really low-level, without any mysterious or powerful aura at all.”
Lin Xian stood up and waved his hand:
“Having bugs and contradictions is normal. What we need now is [ideas] and [direction], so we can gradually correct mistakes during the verification process and approach the real answer.”
He walked to the electronic blackboard.
He clicked to clear the screen, erasing all the words Liu Feng wrote, then picked up the electronic chalk and twirled it between his fingers:

He finished writing the three lines, stepped aside to let Gao Wen and Liu Feng see:

2, Continue researching the secret of the cosmic constant 42.
3, Find Newton and Galileo, stop their plans, and change the world line.
“These are our tasks ahead.”
Lin Xian pointed to the first line and said:
“At present, regarding the World-Ending White Light from my dreamscape, there are still many unresolved mysteries; Einstein can’t see it, and I can’t prove it, along with the fact that if the speed of the World-Ending White Light is the speed of light… we have no way to detect it beforehand.”
“The fastest speed in the universe is the speed of light; the moment we see the white light is the moment it arrives, making it impossible to observe it in advance, and naturally, we can’t uncover the truth about the white light.”
“However, whether or not this white light actually exists, it must be inextricably linked to the Millennium Stakes; perhaps after uncovering the World-Ending White Light, we can reveal the final veil of the Millennium Stakes!”
Gao Wen and Liu Feng nodded, exchanged glances, both looking quite helpless:
“You’ve already spelled out the answer, Lin Xian; the speed of light is unsurpassable, and we have no way to observe the white light in advance, so how should we investigate it?”
“The only one who can see the white light is you, but even for you, you can only witness it at the very last moment before leaving the dreamscape, without a chance to do anything.”
“Don’t worry.”
Lin Xian shook his head:
“Regarding the issue of the World-Ending White Light, there’s no need for you two to worry, I’m going to assign this task to Jask.”
“As it happens, I need to make a trip to Mi Country in a couple of days, and at that time I’ll have an in-depth discussion with Jask. In the field of astronomy and the universe, it’s Jask’s area of expertise, he should have some methods.”
