"Apollo, you were aweso!" Ninth Prince Leon and Seraphina both approached him with shock and excitent on their faces, not expecting him to be this good. The other participants also looked at him with interest, wanting to know more about him as they might face him in the competition.
Apollo smiled modestly, nodding at his friends. "Thanks; it felt good to get through that."
As the preliminary selection drew to a close, the arena buzzed with energy. In an hour, the final count was tallied: a staggering eighteen hundred geniuses had cleared the selection. The sheer number of talented individuals present was a testant to the intensity and competitiveness of the upcoming battles.
Prince Michael stood once again to address the crowd, his presence commanding imdiate attention. "Congratulations to all who have passed the preliminary round. The true competition begins tomorrow. Prepare yourselves, for you will face challenges that will test not only your strength but your wit and resolve. Only the best will advance."
With that, the arena began to empty as the participants dispersed to prepare for the next day. Apollo, Leon, and Seraphina walked together, discussing their strategies and potential opponents.
"That was just the first hurdle," Leon said thoughtfully. "The real test is yet to co. We’ll be up against the best of the best."
Seraphina nodded. "We’ve got to stay focused and support each other. This is going to be intense."
Apollo looked around at the throngs of people, feeling a mix of excitent and determination. He was looking forward to eting those powerful geniuses from the mighty and ancient forces.
"Nicely done, kid." Master Aaron and others also t them on their way back and couldn’t help but praise him.
As they returned to their villa, the city buzzed with anticipation for the battles to co. The streets were filled with crowds discussing participants, vendors selling restorative potions and enchanted gear, and spectators eagerly placing their bets.
The night passed quickly, and as dawn broke, the city buzzed with activity. The arena, now divided into five separate sections, glead under the morning sun, fully prepared for the competition. The golden barrier had been deactivated, and a grand stage was set for the battles.
Apollo and his companions arrived early, taking in the sight of the magnificent arena. The air was thick with tension and excitent as the crowd filled the stands, ready to witness the unfolding of epic duels.
As the participants gathered, Prince Michael appeared once more, his presence eliciting hushed whispers from the crowd.
Instantly, five senior mbers of the Sacred Light Empire appeared in the five different sections of the arena, each exuding a mysterious and awe-inspiring aura that rendered the crowd silent. Their re presence commanded respect and reverence.
After that, the old man with a weak presence around Prince Michael stepped forward and appeared above the arena.
"Today, out of eighteen hundred geniuses, only sixty will remain for the final battle. To determine this, we have decided to have an all-out battle royal with thirty geniuses at a ti."
"And that is why the arena is divided into five sections. At the sa ti, one hundred and fifty geniuses will battle, and only the five who remain standing in each section will move on."
The crowd erupted in murmurs of excitent and anticipation. An all-out lee battle ant chaos and unpredictability, a true test of survival and adaptability.
The participants were quickly organized into groups of thirty, each directed to their designated sections.
Apollo found himself in the third group, while Ninth Prince Leon and Seraphina were in different groups, each preparing themselves ntally and physically for the upcoming battle.
The tension in the air was palpable as the contestants in the first group took their positions. The senior mbers of the Sacred Light Empire stood at the edges of each section, their watchful eyes ensuring the rules were followed and that no one could interfere from the outside.
The old man raised his hand, signalling the start of the battle. "Let the battle begin!" he declared, his voice echoing across the arena.
In an instant, the arena exploded into action. Apollo watched intently as the first group clashed in the arena. The sight was both exhilarating and daunting. Blades clashed, elental life forces surged, and warriors moved with lightning speed, bombarding one another with devastating attacks. The lee was a chaotic dance of skill and power, with each participant fighting desperately to secure their place in the final sixty.
He observed the various tactics and styles employed by the combatants. So relied on brute strength, others on speed and agility, while a few showcased mastery of life forces.
There were not only warriors, but also people from various paths—so were mages, bloodline warriors, or practitioners of unique power systems that were rarely seen.
The first group gradually whittled down, with the weaker contestants being eliminated and the stronger ones asserting their dominance. And in the end, only one person remained in each section of the arena.
One standout perforr was a young woman who remained stationary, not needing to take a single step as she defeated her opponents with just a single glance.
This shocked the crowd, as for most people, it seed too hard to believe. However, many strong people with extensive knowledge were gathered here, and they imdiately understood that she was a Spirit Master.
Spirit Masters can defeat their enemies with a single thought, and their attacks are often unseen and unpredictable, making them exceptionally dangerous.
They are the trickiest ones to deal with, as improving one’s spirit is far more difficult compared to enhancing physique or life force. Even natural treasures related to spirit and soul are extrely rare and difficult to find, to the extent that even mighty ancient forces struggle to acquire them.
The presence of an unknown young Spirit Master shocked everyone. The various mighty figures and clans quickly instructed their people to find out everything they could about the girl who had displayed such extraordinary strength.
The young Spirit Master, seemingly unfazed by the attention, calmly stepped down and waited for the next phase of the competition. Her deanour exuded confidence, a stark contrast to the frantic curiosity she had stirred in the crowd.
Leon and Seraphina watched her with a mix of awe and caution. "A Spirit Master," Leon mused, his voice filled with a rare note of reverence. "They are incredibly rare."
"Indeed," Apollo agreed, his eyes narrowing as he assessed her.
With that, the lee battle of the first group ended, and the five geniuses who remained standing moved on to the final round.
In the second group, Clarion Silverstine attracted the most attention, with everyone’s eyes glued to the arena where he was fighting.
Like the Spirit Master girl, he didn’t take a single step during the lee, but his thod was entirely different.
He was simply impenetrable. The twenty-nine other geniuses in the arena knew he was the most fearso person there, so they ganged up on him. However, none of their attacks could break through his defence—the Silver Energy Armor that covered his entire body. Then, with a single attack, he defeated them all, summoning a rain of silver spears that easily penetrated their defences.
This was a shocking display of his strength, devoid of any mysterious elents. He was simply far stronger than his opponents.
Afterwards, the battles in the other sections continued, and after half an hour, all the fights in the second group ended.
Apollo approached his designated section of the arena with calm determination, his mind focused on the impending battle. Around him, the other twenty-nine geniuses awaited each one a formidable opponent in their own right. Ninth Prince Leon and Seraphina cheered him on from the sidelines.
The arena humd with anticipation as the group prepared for their battle. Apollo scanned his competitors, noting their varying strengths.
So were masters of different elental life force skills, while others wielded weapons of extraordinary craftsmanship. Among them, a few stood out with their imposing presence and intense focus, ready to prove themselves in the crucible of combat. But because of luck or whatever reason, his group doesn’t seem to have any famous top geniuses.
As the old man overseeing the competition raised his hand to signal the start, Apollo steadied himself. He knew that to succeed in this fierce competition, he would need to be careful and not underestimate anyone.
The mont the signal was given, the arena erupted into motion. Elental life force crackled in the air, blades flashed, and warriors engaged in swift and calculated attacks.
Apollo moved with calculated precision, analyzing the battlefield to adapt swiftly and counter his opponents’ attacks.
One by one, the geniuses in his group engaged in intense duels. Apollo, having gained so recognition from his previous performances, imdiately beca a target. Six or seven of the geniuses focused their attacks on him as if they had planned it.
But he wasn’t surprised; he had expected it, knowing that his performance in the first preliminary round would make him a pri target in this lee battle.
