He was surprised to hear this—he hadn’t sought out trouble, yet it had co knocking at his door. Still, he wasn’t worried, nor was Grandpa or Father, as they now had full confidence in Apollo’s strength.
He quickly arrived in the main hall, where everyone was already waiting for him.
"Then, let’s et Count Stuart."
Monts later, Count Stuart and his brother, Baron Sam, entered the hall. The expressions on their faces were starkly different—Baron Sam appeared ashad, his head bowed, while Count Stuart maintained a calm deanour, his face adorned with a flattering smile.
Apollo imdiately understood the reason for Count Stuart’s visit. It was clear that the count was no fool and must have learned about the strength Apollo had shown during the competition in Hunter City.
Seeing this, a smile appeared on his face, but he also felt a bit bad that he seed to have lost the chance to earn so Creation points. Unknowingly, he had now started to consider other lives as a source of resources, showing that he had fully adjusted to this world where life is the cheapest thing anyone can lose at any mont.
"Haha, it’s an honour to et Count William," Count Stuart said, then looked at Apollo and smiled brightly. "And this must be the young dragon, Apollo, who shook the kingdom. It’s a blessing for the Kingdom of Rrioweth to have such heavenly talent appear in our kingdom."
Apollo’s gaze t Count Stuart’s as the man entered the hall, his words dripping with flattery.
"Thank you for your kind words, Count Stuart," He replied with a respectful nod, though his eyes carried a hint of amusent. "But it is nothing compared to Count Stuart’s bravery and brilliant mind."
Grandpa William and Father John stood beside Apollo, imdiately understanding the reason for Count Stuart’s appearance, which was simply to please Apollo. He must have learned about Apollo’s strength, which isn’t much of a secret among the upper echelon of nobles in the kingdom.
But they didn’t despise such behaviour; instead, they felt that Count Stuart was just too smart and would survive as long as he didn’t waste ti knowing his brother’s foolish behaviour and ca running to their Fletcher family.
"Sam, co quickly and apologize to Count William, young master Apollo, and the rest of the Fletcher family," he said urgently, dragging his brother over and forcing him to apologize.
"I... I am sorry for my behaviour before, and please forgive my stupidity." At first, he hesitated, but seeing his brother’s cold eyes, he knew that if he didn’t apologize properly, he might really lose his brother’s support. That would be real trouble, as many wanted to teach him a lesson, but because of his brother’s support, he was still alright.
"This is a small apology from for the idiotic behaviour shown by my brother." After this, Count William took out a small box and handed it to Grandpa William with a smile.
Grandpa William quickly looked inside the box and was surprised to see the white crystal within it.
"This—"
He couldn’t help but be astonished, as the crystal was a Soul Crystal, a rare natural treasure that can purify the soul and increase spiritual strength. A single Soul Crystal of this size—about the size of a fist—can cost ten thousand gold coins or more, as they are very rare and are imdiately bought by noble clans whenever they appear.
Not only is it useful for mages, but it is also valuable for warriors. The major difficulty during breakthroughs for most warriors is their weak spiritual strength. Therefore, whenever a large source of Soul Crystals is found, everyone fights fiercely for it, as it increases their chances of breaking through to higher levels.
Grandpa William’s eyes widened in amazent as he examined the Soul Crystal. "Count Stuart, this is a generous gift. It’s worth far more than a simple apology."
Count Stuart smiled, his deanour still courteous and flattering. "It’s a small token of my respect and gratitude for the understanding and patience of the Fletcher family. I hope it can be of so use to you."
Apollo’s gaze remained steady, though he was inwardly impressed. The Soul Crystal was indeed a valuable and rare item, and it signalled Count Stuart’s genuine intent to nd their relations. He is a good leader and a brother.
After giving this much, Apollo didn’t have any reason to be dissatisfied with Count Stuart and his brother.
Grandpa William smiled and thanked Count Stuart. "Haha, Count Stuart, you are truly generous. Please join us for so drinks."
They then led their guests to the dining hall, where rich and delicious food and fine wines were served. Only Baron Sam remained silent, seeming out of place.
But nobody paid him much attention, as they all knew that with the talk with Count Stuart, this matter had co to an end, and he wouldn’t dare challenge the Fletcher family again.
Grandpa William and Count Stuart discussed business matters for hours, with Count Stuart continuing to flatter Apollo throughout. He left the Fletcher Castle late, having enjoyed a considerable amount of drinks before finally departing. With that, the Stuart brothers departed, their carriage slowly making its way down the long driveway of the Fletcher castle.
With the tension eased and relations improved, the Fletcher family could now focus on their future plans and continue strengthening their position within the kingdom.
With nothing else left to do, he returned to his usual training. The next day, he quickly opened the System store, realizing that he didn’t have the heavenly luck of receiving the "protagonist treatnt," where defeating a younger brother would lead to the older brother coming to give experience points. He knew he’d have to wait soti to earn more creation points. For now, he decided to buy so spells to improve his strength.
He opened the spell section, which, like the warrior skills, was divided into lower-grade, middle-grade, and higher-grade spells.
Apollo intended to learn so attacking, evasive, or hiding spells. As a warrior with an Ice Life Force, he already had good control skills and the physique to take on most attacks, but he lacked the attacking power needed for large-area destructive force.
For a large-area destructive spell, Apollo chose a lightning elent spell. Since he used the Primal Cosmos ditation Technique to build his foundation rune, he could use spells from all elents, so not utilizing lightning spells would be a significant loss.
He quickly searched for lightning spells in the system store and found quite a few that caught his interest. However, in the end, he selected one, as several spells had similar destructive power.
He chose a powerful spell nad "Purple Sky Thunder Shower," which he could barely use as a first-rank mage. As the na suggests, it was a high-grade lightning spell known for its sheer destructive force.
Purple Sky Thunder Shower (High-Grade Spell) – A destructive spell that summons a small group of Purple Sky Thunderbolts to devastate the nurous enemy’s body and spirit in a single, devastating attack.
He couldn’t help but look forward to seeing this spell’s power, as this spell wasn’t just about causing damage—it was designed to overwhelm an opponent’s defences, attacking both the body and spirit simultaneously.
Purple Sky Thunder Shower (High-Grade Spell): 1200 Creation Points.
The cost was neither too high nor too low, so he could buy it without difficulty and still look for more spells.
After selecting the spell, he began searching for a spell that could increase his speed or help him escape from powerful opponents, as survival always cos first.
He found speed-boosting spells or evasive spells in various elents, whether lightning, wind, or others, but he was specifically looking for a particular spell he had eagerly wanted to learn. After browsing through thousands of spells in the System Store, he finally found it.
Blink (Middle-Grade Spell) (Growable) – A rare space spell that allows the mage to travel through space within twenty ters and can grow into a higher-level spell after understanding the Law of Space.
The mont he saw it, Apollo knew he needed to learn it. Although it seed to be just a middle-grade spell, the fact that it was a space spell already made it many tis more valuable than a high-level spell. Not to ntion, it could evolve into a higher-level spell. Though the conditions for this evolution were harsh, it was still possible.
Perhaps, through this spell, he could truly begin to understand the Law of Space—one of the most powerful Laws. After all, no matter what, Space and Ti are among the strongest and most difficult laws to master.
He imdiately checked its price, as he couldn’t wait to master this space spell.
Blink (Middle Grade Spell) (Growable)- 3000 Creation points.
Seeing this, his expression didn’t change, as he knew it would be more expensive—perhaps even more than high-grade spells—but it was worth it. Even if it cost more, he wouldn’t bat an eye at the price.
He bought it imdiately, deciding to focus on learning this spell first.
