Apollo was shocked to see such a life form for the first ti, even in this fantastical world.
Gss... Gss... The low, eerie sound of viscous liquid echoed as the blood creature slowly devoured the beast’s blood entirely. He didn’t imdiately attack or confront the life form; instead, he observed it, trying to gauge its strength and identify any weaknesses it might have.
Apollo’s eyes narrowed as he continued to observe the blood creature, taking in every detail of its unsettling form. The way it moved, with those writhing tentacles and the liquid-like consistency of its body, defied the natural order of things.
It was as if the creature was a living embodint of blood, with no bones, muscles, or organs—just a shifting, amorphous mass that could change shape at will.
The eerie sound of the creature’s feeding echoed through the clearing, making Apollo’s skin prickle with unease.
The once-lifeless animal beneath it was now nothing more than a drained husk, its essence completely consud by the monstrous entity. This creature didn’t just kill; it absorbed every blood and the very life force of its prey, leaving nothing behind but death and decay.
Apollo’s thoughts raced as he considered his options. Charging in blindly against such an unknown and bizarre foe would be foolish. He also needed to be cautious of the creature’s fluid nature—it might be immune to conventional physical attacks.
But he had an elental bonus as an Ice Life force warrior, and law attacks should be useful against this tangible life form.
After watching the weird life form for so ti while remaining hidden, he finally decided to make his move.
Finally, the mont he had arrived. The blood creature’s form wavered, its tentacles retracting slightly as if it were montarily exhausted from feeding.
This was his chance, and without hesitation, Apollo sprang into action. He leapt from his perch, descending rapidly towards the creature with his sword drawn.
His speed was astonishing as his sword burst forth with a cold, heavenly chill capable of freezing anything in its path.
Slash!...
Ssssssszzzz...
His sword sliced cleanly through the viscous blood life form. At first, it seed unaffected, rely divided into two. But then, as the icy force kicked in, the creature began to wiggle and emit a strange, eerie noise, as if in pain. The ice started to gather around it, gradually confining the creature and halting its movents.
"It is effective."
A smile appeared on his face after seeing this, but he had to say that this thing was quite tenacious. As he was about to attack and gain the blood, life counterattacked him as large tentacles made up of poisonous blood ca towards him like snakes.
But it was too slow for him. In a single mont, he slashed through the tentacles countless tis, freezing most of them in his path.
The tentacles crumbled, frozen into what looked like red crystals, yet their poisonous nature persisted, turning the land beneath them black as it seed to lose its life to the poison.
He didn’t wait any longer. In one stride, breaking the sound barrier, he appeared near the Blood life form.
"Fifth Sword: Hundred Sword Severance."
With a swift motion, he sliced the blood life form into hundreds of pieces, each severed by the freezing cold life force that emitted from his sword.
But he didn’t feel good, as although all of it was frozen, it was still alive. If it breaks the ice, then with so ti, it will regain its strength.
He had to admit, it was quite an annoying life form. Not wanting to waste any more ti, he focused his mind, and slowly, the mysterious aura of the five elents enveloped the blood life form.
Szzzz... Szzz... Aehh... Aehh...
The ice began to crack, and the bloody form wiggled with a strange sound. But within monts, it went completely silent. Its once viscous, dense liquid form lost cohesion, and with a final splash, it spread across the land like ordinary blood and finally died.
"Good, it seems to have finally died," Apollo murmured as it felt completely dead, and at the sa ti, he heard the cold chanical ding sound associated with the change in task progress.
[Task- kill ten blood monsters(1/10)]
He already guessed this blood life form should be the blood monster ntioned in the task, and the notification just confird it.
However, he had to admit that this task would be challenging for most third-rank warriors like Sol, who hadn’t yet grasped any laws.
The blood monster seed nearly immune to physical attacks, and from what Apollo had observed, the only thing that truly affected and hurt it was the power of laws. Without an understanding of the laws, clearing this task would be nearly impossible.
Taking a deep breath, Apollo scanned the surrounding area; his senses heightened as he searched for any signs of movent or another beast that was attracted towards her.
The forest had returned to its eerie stillness, but the lingering sense of danger still lingered that kept him on edge. He needed to stay alert, ready for the next blood monster that might appear or sothing worse, as this forest is not only weird but enormous; that might be a weirder thing here.
Without wasting any more ti, he leapt back into the trees, moving with the sa silent precision as before. His goal was clear—find and eliminate the remaining blood monsters as quickly as possible. The quicker he completes the task, the more quickly he will leave this place.
As he moved deeper into the forest, Apollo couldn’t shake the feeling that these creatures were more than just mindless beasts. Like they were part of sothing and connected to sothing big, but for now, he pushed these thoughts aside.
The forest seed endless, with each section appearing more twisted and corrupted than the last. The air grew heavier, and the faint scent of blood beca more pronounced, guiding Apollo towards his next target. He felt the sa weird presence again that he felt before, which ans that it could be another blood monster.
He also noticed that the deeper he went into this forest, the gloomier it beca, and the weird bloody energy also seed to be increasing. But before he could think more, he found his target.
And to his surprise, there wasn’t just one but three blood monsters that seed to be trying to devour one another.
Apollo didn’t hide it but charged towards the three blood monsters with fast speed, as he had a feeling that staying in this deep forest for a longer ti would bring trouble.
His sword burst out with his powerful and dangerous sword aura that now had the power of five elents and death. He was going to end in a single strike.
"Eleventh Sword life destruction."
The three blood monsters, which had been locked in a struggle to devour each other, instantly ceased their fight upon noticing Apollo. They turned their focus on him, their nurous tentacles poised to strike. But they were too slow. In a flash, Apollo seed to teleport, appearing ten ters away as he swung his sword.
Boom!
With that swing, powerful and mysterious sword energy appeared and, like so heavenly force, annihilated the three blood monsters; even every drop of their blood seed to evaporate, leaving no trace behind.
The attack was so powerful that the blood monsters didn’t even feel their destruction. In less than a second, they were obliterated, their existence erased without a mont of awareness.
[Task- kill ten blood monsters(4/10)]
Imdiately, the number of blood monsters slain increased from one to four. However, just as these three blood monsters perished within the depths of the forest, thousands of miles away, in a desolate place devoid of life and soaked in blood and venomous liquids, an unknown being opened its eyes.
Which seems to trigger all the blood monsters within the forests as they all suddenly start to move toward Apollo’s direction unknown to him.
But he had a serious premonition sothing serious was about to happen, so he didn’t stay there and left to find more blood monsters and quickly leave this place.
As he jumped from one tree to another, he suddenly felt weird as he felt the weird aura of the blood monsters from all directions and it seed to be coming toward him.
He felt a twinge of unease as his premonition ca true. From the other side, a blood monster quickly moved toward him, its speed far surpassing the previous ones.
Apollo didn’t run away, knowing he was surrounded. He could sense the aura of blood monsters closing in from every direction.
As the fast one approached, he finally got a good look at it. This one was different—larger and with a sowhat humanoid shape. Its body was covered in countless blood pustules and a weird, slimy liquid, making it look utterly disgusting.
Its aura was stronger than the blood monster he t before, and it seed to have so intelligence.
It moved its hand, and then the tentacles ca out, like homing missiles, and launched toward him, tracking his every move with relentless precision.
