The woman in question stood calmly, her very presence distorting the space around her. The mist coiling around her seed to devour light itself, creating an eerie, shifting void. Even the Eternal Gods nearby instinctively kept their distance.
"And the other one?" Apollo asked.
Kael smirked. "That guy over there—the one who looks half-dragon and filled with a terrifying, oppressive aura."
His gaze shifted toward the figure Kael pointed out.
The man stood tall, his golden-scaled arms crossed over his chest. Fiery draconic energy radiated from him, distorting the air around his body. His very presence carried an oppressive weight, making even so Eternal Gods wary. Two curved black horns extended from his head, pulsating with an ancient, destructive power.
"The Dragon king’s heir," Kael continued. "He’s said to have inherited the bloodline of an ancient primordial dragon. So say his re breath can incinerate stars, and his fists can crack reality itself."
Apollo observed the half-dragon with intrigue. The guy’s re existence scread dominance, his golden eyes glowing with the arrogance of an apex predator.
"Looks like the monsters of our universe are not bad," he muttered.
Kael said mysteriously. "Oh, this is only the surface. The real terrifying ones might not even be here yet."
He smiled. "Good Hopefully soone can bring a challenge for .’
After all, he couldn’t help but admit that, technically, he was just a Void God. So, he would likely only qualify for challenges at the Void God level. The Dragon King Heir and the Chaos Saintess were true god-level geniuses—he might not even get the chance to et them.
Although he had seen so talented individuals in the Void God realm here, none of them posed any real pressure to him. Now, all he could hope for was that so hidden geniuses might bring him a few surprises.
Kael sighed softly in his mind. "You’re probably the only guy I know who hopes the monsters co out of hiding."
Apollo shrugged, his gaze drifting toward the far end of the hall where a few unfamiliar figures stood cloaked in spatial veils, their auras completely hidden—even from his sharp senses.
"That’s the problem with hiding strength," he murmured. "You never know if you’re the predator... or the bait."
Still, he couldn’t help but feel a low thrum of excitent building within him. Maybe soone would surprise him.
As the crowd began to disperse and prepare for the upcoming Trials. "Three days. Let’s see if the Void God bracket can hold ."
Their group from the Sky Tower also left the venue. Ti passed, and the excitent reached its peak, as today was the day the challenge of three universes began. Many new groups also arrived later on who were quite mysterious, but it didn’t matter as the main event was starting.
The crowd gathered in the centre of the city, waiting to know how the selection would proceed.
A booming sound echoed through the skies, and a golden light descended from above, blanketing the city centre in a majestic glow. The skies parted like a curtain, revealing an enormous circular tower hovering high above the city—engraved with ancient runes and radiating the aura of ti itself.
A voice filled with authority rang out, the sa voice that once silenced the crowd during the opening.
"The Selection Begins."
A hush fell over the city as the ancient tower slowly descended, hovering just above the ground like a divine monunt.
The golden light intensified, and one by one beams shot down from the tower, scanning the gathered forces below.
The voice echoed again, carrying the weight of countless eons.
"Contenders will be tested by the Tower of Epoch. Within it, whether it was Void God, True God or Eternal God, they will face challenges according to their level."
Gasps swept through the crowd.
"The Tower of Epoch... they’re using that?"
"This year is really different; they are using all their strength."
Murmurs and gasps rippled like waves through the sea of gathered prodigies and powerhouses. Even those standing tall with pride now wore serious expressions.
Soone whispered, "They haven’t used the Tower of Epoch in the last three gatherings..."
"This ans... they expect sothing far more dangerous or important ahead."
Apollo, hearing this, stood still with a calm expression—but inside, his thoughts were racing. The fact that even the Primordial Sanctum was being opened and the Tower of Epoch brought forth... ant this gathering was anything but ordinary.
He clenched his fist slightly and glanced up at the enormous structure floating above them—ancient, eternal, and filled with countless secrets.
And with a steady breath, he stepped forward once more. But he wasn’t alone, as the other mbers of Sky Tower and nurous geniuses from the three universes stepped forward without hesitation.
This Tower of Epoch might be dangerous, yet still cannot stop them. Their footsteps echoed like war drums against the shimring marble ground as Apollo and the others advanced.
One by one, figures cloaked in power, pride, and purpose stepped into the golden light descending from the heavens. mbers of the Sky Tower stood tall beside him, their expressions resolute, while monstrous prodigies from across the three universes moved with calm arrogance and burning anticipation.
A voice bood again, ancient and solemn.
"The Tower of Epoch accepts all challengers. Your fate within shall be decided by your will, your strength... and your karma."
Golden light surged forward, forming stairways from the sky, inviting them toward the floating tower.
Apollo’s eyes narrowed slightly, but his smile returned—calm and sharp.
With that, he took the first step onto the golden staircase—his figure bathed in the light of the Epoch, walking forward like a sovereign ascending to claim destiny itself.
He disappeared within the tower, and when he opened his eyes, he was was standing in front of a massive gate covered with a mysterious pattern. But what attracted him was the two armour-wearing statues,, hundred tres tall, standing beside the gate.
They were not just statues.
Even at a glance, Apollo could feel it—the dense flow of laws swirling faintly around them. Their armour was tarnished with the weight of countless eras, and yet, they gave off the impression that they could awaken at any mont and obliterate worlds.
Each statue gripped a halberd the size of a mountain, their hollow eyes glowing with ancient intent. Patterns ran along their forms, so pulsing faintly, others flickering like dying stars. These weren’t re decorations... they were definitely sentinels.
Guardians of whatever lay beyond the gate.
A test? He thought, narrowing his gaze.
As if responding to his presence, the gate let out a deep rumble, and the statues, as he expected, seed to awaken and burst with a powerful aura.
Slowly they turned their heads to look at him. Even though they didn’t move a step, the pressure that fell upon him and the entire atmosphere of this space changed.
"First Test ... is beginning."
