They didn't try to hide themselves; instead, they acted like rulers, arrogantly swaggering across the border territory of the Fletcher family.
Because of the growing chaos across Rion, security throughout the Fletcher territory had beco extrely strict. Void Gods and True Gods constantly patrolled the borders to maintain order.
Naturally, such an open and domineering display did not go unnoticed.
Almost imdiately, the guards stepped forward and blocked their path.
The guards were elite from the sky tower even when they arrived; the weakest of them were early-stage void god realm, and now, after receiving the blessing from Rion, they have broken through a few small realms.
Now the weakest were at the peak of the void realm, and many strong warriors had already broken through to the true god realm. So of the guardians even broke into the eternal god realm, significantly enhancing their overall strength.
"Stop! Who are you? Why co here?" A late-stage true god-realm guardian quickly stopped them and asked.
The hunched-back servant ca forward before the young master could say anything. "Hmph, how dare you lowly guards stop the young master of the ancient crystal dragon clan?"
His voice carried obvious arrogance, as though rely speaking the clan's na should have been enough to force everyone aside.
But the guards didn't even flinch.
They were mbers of the Sky Tower.
Though their status within the organisation wasn't particularly high, they had been born and raised there. Their loyalty and pride ca from the Sky Tower itself—not from fear of outside powers.
So even in the face of an ancient dragon clan, they remained calm and unmoved.
"Why co here?" The guard calmly asked, not caring about the so-called ancient clan's young master.
The nonchalant behaviour seed to make them feel like they were insulted, and a few of them were ready to attack, but the young master seed to stop them and said.
"I ca here to talk," he said calmly.
"And to make a deal."
His gaze shifted toward the mighty Fletcher Castle in the distance.
"Take to your clan leader."
"I wish to speak with him personally."
The guards stopped and then nodded and sent the news. Although the guardians were from Sky Tower and strictly followed Apollo's command, they only guarded the land and nothing else; the ruler of the land was still Grandpa William.
At that ti Grandpa William, calmly seated, was discussing how to proceed with the developnt, but receiving the sudden news of soone from an ancient clan wanting to et him naturally surprised him.
In fact, knowing it was so ancient clan made him feel anxious, as he knows what was happening in Rion and knows about their strength from Apollo and Astraea.
Although he felt anxious, he quickly cald down; he wasn't a weak person now. He, although, didn't know his grandson's or granddaughter's status or full strength, but both of them have given him confidence.
Neither of them seed particularly afraid of the ancient clans.
And because of that, the Fletcher family was different from the countless smaller powers across Rion, who could only survive by becoming obedient dogs of the ancient factions.
He stood straight, and then the aura of a leader seed to burst out from him. "Okay, lead them to the main hall. Let's see what they wanted to do."
The ssage was sent, and the guards quickly received it. "Co follow ."
And then a guardian quickly, without wasting ti, led the group towards the main hall.
The young master of the Crystal Dragon clan and his subordinates quickly arrived at the main hall and t the Marquis William.
The mont he saw Marquis William, he seed to be showing the expression of disappointnt, as he seed to be expecting more.
He quickly found William's strength was only at the level of void god, which might have been sothing before Rion's awakening but now was nothing. He also scanned the entire estate with his spiritual sense and didn't find anyone strong even at the half-step transcendent realm.
And seeing this, he was sure that the Fletcher family was just lucky, as the youngest son sohow managed to latch on to so high-ranking mber of Sky Tower.
"You are lord of this land?" The young master of the Crystal Dragon clan asked in a condescending tone, like even talking with soone like Marquis William would dirty him.
William imdiately understood the attitude of these ancient clans.
But despite that, he maintained a calm and composed deanour.
"Yes," he replied evenly. "How may I help you?"
The young master of the crystal dragon didn't care much, as he already had decided that the Fletcher family was just a lucky one and didn't need any careful consideration. So he spoke directly, his voice carrying natural authority.
"From now on this land, covering hundreds of miles surrounding it, will belong to ."
He leaned back slightly, as if granting rcy.
"And since you were fortunate enough to settle here, I will allow the Fletcher family to beco my subordinates."
Hearing this, Grandpa William was shocked. He seed to be silent for a mont and stared at the young master in disbelief.
Then—
"What the fuck!" He cursed at the young master without showing any ounce of respect.
"Are you fucking losing your mind?" William exploded.
"This entire land belongs to you? And we should beco your subordinates?"
He leaned forward slightly, eyes blazing.
"Are all ancient clans filled with idiots like you?"
The entire hall fell deathly silent. The servants, along with young master, were shocked and couldn't believe what they were seeing. They couldn't expect William to humiliate the young master like this.
The young master of the crystal dragon clan wasn't an ordinary person. He was the youngest but said to be the most talented mber of the royal family of the ancient Crystal dragon clan.
The Ancient Crystal Dragon clan itself was a very powerful dragon clan. Though they had never produced a Sovereign, they had birthed three Supres throughout their history. Their strongest ancestor had even reached the peak of the Supre Realm, only a single step away from becoming a Sovereign.
Their strength and influence were massive, and even in the ancient clan council they had so weight.
