As befitted a composite ga strear, Geno had played a wide variety of gas. Among them, "Dead by Exorcist" was a title he had enjoyed often since its release—and still played from ti to ti.
"Sss, why do I feel so uneasy?"
Even while decoding the barrier, Geno was scanning his surroundings every chance he got.
― Are you scared, dude?
― A seasoned player getting spooked by a newbie!?

At the viewers' teasing, he muttered quietly.
"No, if it were anyone else, I wouldn't bother with the barrier and would just start toying with them. But it's the boss!"

Both Geno and the viewers all sported question marks in their minds. But unlike the viewers, Geno didn't just stop at being surprised.

His remark directed viewers' attention to him. As question marks filled the chat, he clicked his tongue and continued.
"You can't let yourself get caught on purpose, just to be nice. I an, you know what kind of person our boss is, right? He can tell if it's real or an act. If you try too hard to read the situation, it actually backfires, backfires."

When the viewers tried to tease him, Geno snorted.

Any veteran player practically had to have this skin.
"Just you watch, I'll go save Skullkim. I'll show you how Dead by Exorcist is really played."
Right as Geno proudly declared this while finishing the barrier—

A new system ssage flashed on screen.
"What...?"
His eyes widened in disbelief.
How long had it been since Skullkim was caught, and now Bakjapcho too?
"What is this? Are they actually just letting themselves get caught?"
He was genuinely flustered, because he knew both were actually skilled at the ga.
He thought Skullkim getting caught was just lucky, but if Bakjapcho got caught as well, sothing else was going on.

― He's already perfectly "adapted"—that's what I'm saying!

Going alone was too risky. Attempting a rescue alongside Eclipse was the smarter plan.

Geno defensively explained as he set his sights on the 1st floor's barrier room—Eclipse's original objective.

He stopped dead in his tracks at the third system ssage.

Amid Geno and the viewers' confusion, new viewers arrived.

That location was the mansion's basent.
"This isn't embarrassing, it's just the best option! No one's been sealed separately—they all got caught together."
Geno answered the viewers' teasing with confidence.

After arriving on the first floor, he sprinted toward the entrance across from the central hall.
"I was watching the 2nd floor corridor, and had traps set at the stairways for both the 3rd and 1st floors. He didn't deactivate those either? So I figured, maybe he's taking a roundabout route sowhere else. Must be the sneaky exit."

At their admiration, Lee Gyeongbok smiled warmly and flung open the basent entrance.
Old wooden stairs, black brick walls, and shelves cramd with boxes and supplies for storage appeared before him.
And beyond that—
"Mr. Ji, you still need to clock out, you know?"
He spotted Geno crouched on the floor, fiddling.

Geno jerked around in shock.
He was in the middle of unlocking the basent's ergency hatch that led toward the sewers.

Geno sprang up in alarm.
Now that Lee Gyeongbok had arrived, there was almost no way he'd open the ergency exit in ti.
'There's still a chance, though!'
Geno's eyes darted.
The basent was a pri spot for the Earthbound Spirit's checking skill, foldergeist—the so-called "innate zone."
'Even if my reflexes lose out, my mind gas won't.'
Multiple shelves stood between Lee Gyeongbok and Geno. If he tried to approach, Geno could drop objects on him with Foldergeist.
'Just need to hit once!'
In "Dead by Exorcist," just one hit from those objects would stun the exorcist. During that, he could escape, maybe even rescue the others.
'A full reversal might be possible!'
Geno watched Lee Gyeongbok closely, on edge. Seemingly intent on blocking a retreat, Lee Gyeongbok laid a trap, then weaved between shelves toward him.
'Gyeongbok's a newbie after all.'
Geno suppressed a cheer.
Traps were aningless in the innate zone. If the exorcist was stunned, you could just walk right by.
'Now!'
He confidently stretched out his hand toward the rushing Lee Gyeongbok.
Objects tumbled from a shaking shelf, crashing down on Lee Gyeongbok. Certain of success, Geno charged to et him.
"Huh?"
But he let out a baffled gasp.
Clang—one after another, tallic noises sounded as all the falling objects were deflected, tumbling off to the side.

― He blocked all of that?

Lee Gyeongbok was standing right in front of him, unhard. He smiled lightly and said,
"Knew there'd be so kind of trick. So right was the answer."
At that, the viewers caught on.
― Insane, he set up the trap on purpose

― He went right to use his dagger?
― This is wild, crazy
― Geno's so shocked, thought he was all hyped and then just froze, lol
It had all gone according to Lee Gyeongbok's plan. Raising his dagger, he spoke.
"Mr. Ji, you weren't seriously trying to clock out alone, were you?"
-lol, failed to clock out!
― Ah lol, would you really clock out while others are still working?
― Boss has to clock out before you can leave, you know
― Can't pay you OT if you clock out, lol
Geno retorted with exasperation.
"No way! Who even plays like this?!"
Swinging the dagger, Lee Gyeongbok replied lightly,
"Right here."
In the end, all Earthbound Spirits were sealed, and the ga ended in Lee Gyeongbok's victory.
Back in the lobby, no one could hide their admiration.
"Seriously, the boss is on a different level."
"Who would've thought it was his first ti playing Dead by Exorcist?"
"He really is my lord."
"Ah... should've set up for the basent from the start."
The chat burst into laughter. But their joy wasn't over yet.
― Hurry up and settle the points!
― No one missed out on Purple Coins, right?
― Point duplication ON!
― As if there was ever gonna be an upset, lol
It was ti to reveal the results of the pre-ga point betting.
With a smile, Lee Gyeongbok operated the interface.

They had bet on Lee Gyeongbok's victory as well.

But the PerG-Day Five could no longer enjoy themselves like before.
There was one reason for this.
'... Ti's not passing nearly as slowly as I expected, is it?'
Each round was much shorter than expected. Because Lee Gyeongbok's exorcist skills were so strong, there was still a lot of streaming ti left.
'If I go easy, it isn't any fun, though.'
Lee Gyeongbok realized this and considered going easy, but that killed the mood. So he played seriously, and beca increasingly proficient with the exorcist through constant gaplay.
― Looks like Godple's fully adapted now, lol
― Seriously, it's a straight speedrun ta now
― Never seen more than two barriers broken in a round, lol
― From the Earthbound Spirits' perspective, it's just a beatdown, lol
― If you watch the non-Godple streams, it's so intense
The ti per round kept shrinking. The viewers were still having fun for now, but it was clear that wouldn't last.
"Ahem, everyone?"
Lee Gyeongbok decided to revise the plan and spoke up. Both viewers and the other team mbers focused on him.
"It's great to encourage teamwork among employees, but if it's always senior staff versus regular staff, the shareholders might get the wrong idea and think there's internal strife."
Geno's eyes sparkled.
"I was thinking it might be better for the execs and regulars to mingle more, too. Honestly, putting all the villain roles on the boss didn't sit right."
He quickly caught Lee Gyeongbok's drift, then glanced around at the others.
"So, who should fill in for the boss's spot next, folks?"
Wherever he looked, he t everyone's gaze—they were all looking at him.
Geno exaggeratedly avoided their eyes.
― Lol, you know you're up, don't pretend
― Even a savvy guy like you can't feign ignorance here, right?
― Co on, they wouldn't put the villain role on the actual seniors, right?
― Duh, what would an intern know about being the villain?
― Biting his lip and dodging looks, so funny, lol
The viewers cracked up, and even Lee Gyeongbok smiled.

And so, Lee Gyeongbok and Geno swapped roles. The viewers voiced their satisfaction.

Seeing their chance, the chat started teasing Geno even harder.

Lee Gyeongbok and the other Earthbound Spirits readied up. A beat later, Geno picked his character and the round began.

The character he chose was a top-tier from the DLC roster.

But the viewers weren't worried.

Lee Gyeongbok, eyeing the character, was intrigued.
And when he got interested...
― Fun = ready to destroy.
― Ah lol, if Godple's playing, he can win with anything
