GGG eting (1)

Strear Purple's fan page.

With the conclusion of the first subscriber event, participant reviews began pouring in on the page.

[It was okay when just watching Purple's broadcast, but actually playing together felt a bit lacking.]

Amidst them, one particular post stood out, and the fans who were eager imdiately checked the details.

[Is this what they call an "addiction" that you just can't quit? Ha, damn, I wish we could do it again!]

[-I thought it was so kind of bait, but damn, lol]

[na, "addiction" for real, lolol]

[na, I thought it was just soone complaining about not winning the prize again, lolol]

[na, seriously, lol, hiding was so thrilling]

[na, looks like another participant showed up, lol]

[na, this isn't even funny anymore~]

But when they actually opened the posts, they turned out to be the opposite of what the titles suggested. Maybe this had beco a trend.

[Tried it because it's Godple, but honestly, it felt so empty, lol]

[Really living up to its "legendary" reputation!]

[This kind of broadcast had 5,000 viewers? Is that digit wrong?]

[This national-treasure-level broadcast needs at least 50,000 viewers^^]

[Unbelievable, lol. What, is Purple a god or sothing?]

((A silhouette photo above the clouds)

???: I am Purple of Heaven)

Short, witty review posts sprung up like mushrooms after rain. Of course, there were also so heartfelt reviews among them.

[Ah, lol, let give you a real review]

[Anyone who hasn't t Godple in person has lost half their life, for real.

His voice you hear on the broadcast and his voice when you hear it in-ga are totally different worlds.

On the broadcast, it's just, "Wow, that's nice to listen to."

But the real voice is at the level of "I'm glad I have ears," lolol

Honestly, if he went into voice acting, he would get the protagonist role every ti, no contest, lolol

And that's just his voice—the way he moves is next level too.

Rember that comnt on Muscle Gallery last ti? When Bald Mountain said it was perfect, it was 100% true, lolol

It's like seeing a living sculpture right in front of you? But instead of feeling rough, it's like watching an art performance, lolol

This is so hard to explain with words, but you know how dancers have their own unique 'lines'? It's that kind of feeling—the movents are so crisp and refined.

But he also does amazing fan service, lolol Honestly, he could just kill you and move on, but he makes the effort to talk because you're alone and asks if you want anything.

Man, when I got a headshot from his fist, I was so happy I nearly fainted, lolol

It's been a while since I was truly over the moon!

Manager! Please pick again next ti!]

[-Oh shoot lol, I was wondering why it was so long—it was that real fan]

[na, I recognized it too when I saw the headshot at the end, lolol]

[na, that's a real fan all right, damn]

[na, crazy, crazy......]

[-Now this is true happiness, lolol]

[na, for real, lol. You can feel the emotion in the writing]

[na, what is that feeling, damn, I want to know too]

[na, when's the next OTP!]

While participants shared their reviews and others expressed their envy—

[What is this?]

[A preview for today's video was just revealed on MadGunner, before it even showed up on the Purple channel? How is it up already?]

A single post suddenly shifted the mood.

[-What's MadGunner!]

[na, looks like it's a mad movie channel specializing in GunG?]

[na, it got uploaded before the Purple channel?]

[na, what the heck is going on?]

[-Damn, did one of the participants extract a replay and send it over?]

[na, huh, lol, I guess that could happen]

[na, really;;; do they have no common sense?]

[na, if they just thought about it, they should've waited until it was on the Purple channel]

[na, damn, at least they should've gotten permission from the Purple channel first]

[-Wasn't there sothing similar during Bark too?]

[na, right, lol, the lecca guys used it without permission back then]

[na, but they covered it with a doggum comrcial that ti;;]

[na, but isn't this different? The mad movie channel probably just made it with whatever video they received]

[na, still, they should've double-checked]

Fans who'd experienced the lecca incident during Bio Crisis reacted sensitively.

As fans flocked to the MadGunner channel, the ti for the video release approached.

* * *

The MadGunner channel had about 200,000 subscribers. By sheer size, it wasn't a giant channel.

But considering it focused solely on a single ga—and only on mad movies—it was pretty famous among Gunner Ground players.

More importantly, its video views usually exceeded its subscriber count. While there was so variability, each video got at least 400,000 views.

It ant that instead of faithful subscribers, much of the traffic ca from search results.

Purple's event video was uploaded there. Less than a day had passed, but the view count had already surpassed 200,000.

And there were plenty of comnts to match.

[-Why is this only one minute long?]

[na, comnt first, watch later, lolol]

What was unusual was that, unlike other mad movies, this video was only about one minute long.

That was because the video had all the context edited out, leaving only the most decisive monts.

[-Damn, lolol, fighting in midair]

[na, did you see that perfect subduing in the middle of it all?]

[na, but why were they fighting all of a sudden?]

[na, no idea, lol]

[-(0:17) Did they shoot the parachute cord?]

[na, I've never seen that before, damn]

[na, wow... is that even humanly possible?]

[na, what on earth is this?]

[-(0:24) Watch your back!]

[na, damn, you got , lolol]

[na, did they block that with a frying pan?]

[na, is this staged?]

[-(0:43) alabang: Passing through^^]

[na, did they break that glass on purpose?]

[na, team kill, damn, lolol]

[na, I wondered who that was, turns out it's Holycow]

[na, is this video fake?]

[-(0:51) alabang: Going down^^]

[na, damn, lolol, what even is that airstrike]

[na, wipe out all those camping snipers!]

[na, wow! Watching this finally eased my indigestion]

[na, campers really are the worst, lol]

As the scenes flew by, the comnts were filled with shock and awe. Yet there was no explanation about the actual protagonist of the video.

[-But who is Purple?]

[na, there's this rising strear lately, lol]

[na, damn, there are so many strears, how am I supposed to know who that is with that explanation?]

[na, stop acting up, you ping-pong guys]

[na, (0:59) It says for more details, go watch it on the Purple channel!]

At the end of the video, there was a link to the Purple channel, with a notice that a longer highlight would be uploaded there.

[-Ah lol, I thought it was stolen content for a second]

[na, for real, lol, turns out it was a teaser]

[na, almost jumped to conclusions for nothing^^]

Fans who'd rushed over in a panic quickly figured out the situation. It turned out this wasn't an unauthorized video—the Purple side had given permission for the teaser-style preview.

Perhaps because Purple's gaplay was so impressive, the view count shot up to 500,000.

And as if to add fuel to the fire, one comnt received a ton of upvotes and was pinned at the top.

[The channel administrator pinned this comnt.]

[GGG]

[-What the heck... this is scary... (pale emote)]

It was a comnt from the official account of Gunner Ground's developer, "Gunner Ground Gas"—GGG.

[na, it's real? For real?]

[na, co on, you guys made the ga!]

[na, just bring out a good balance patch!]

[na, seriously;; please do sothing about teaming already!]

[na, this is scary for real, lol]

[na, get to work, gGG!]

[na, madGunner's gotten big, huh, even the devs are monitoring it]

The comnts beneath were utter chaos, and this whole incident quickly beca a across various communities.

Lee Gyeongbok started a eting at his usual café, as always.

"This is on the house. Please try one each."

"Ah, thank you."

A café staff mber gingerly set down a small cookie for each of them. Choi Byeonghun grinned from ear to ear.

"Man, it really pays off to be a regular at a place."

"Do you think it's just because we're regulars?"

"Huh?"

At Park Juho's words, Choi Byeonghun's eyes went wide. He pointed at the cookie in front of Lee Gyeongbok.

"Look at how many chocolate chips are in that cookie. The difference is so obvious—it's clear who they're ant for."

"... Well, it's been like that for ages. I'm not even surprised anymore. Still, I get a bit of the crumbs now and then these days."

As his two friends spoke, Lee Gyeongbok chuckled and changed the subject.

"MadGunner's response has been good."

"Yeah, definitely not bad. The Purple channel gained 20,000 subscribers in just a day. We should definitely use teaser videos like that for promotion more often."

The teaser video uploaded on the MadGunner channel the day before—and the highlight reel uploaded on the Purple channel just as the teaser ended.

Thanks to the influx of new viewers, Purple channel's subscriber count zood past 230,000.

"Right? See, I told you—I have an eye for editing stuff. That editor definitely has skills."

Choi Byeonghun spoke proudly as he finished his cookie. After all, he was the one who provided the video source to MadGunner.

"I didn't pick that guy as assistant editor for nothing. To be honest, I also learned a lot about editing FPS gas from Madman."

Madman, the operator behind MadGunner. Choi Byeonghun had t him when he was just starting out as a video editor, sharing tips and tricks.

Choi Byeonghun had reached out to Madman for this project: the teaser would be uploaded on MadGunner, and the highlight on the Purple channel.

It wasn't just a contractual relationship—it was a plan that benefited both channels.

"Considering the channel grew so much just on mad movies, that deserves recognition."

"Yeah, he works fast too, so for once I got a really good night's sleep."

Choi Byeonghun replied with an embarrassed laugh. As his friends had guessed, things were much better since he'd found an assistant editor.

Lee Gyeongbok, pleased with how things were going, spoke up.

"Let's move on—did you say the emoticon samples ca in?"

"Luckily, since the requests were simple, it didn't take long."

Park Juho summoned a hologram and brought up so images. They were emoticons featuring various characters greeting in different ways.

"I asked for basic ones we could use for general greetings."

"So, would that make them 'Perhar-ticons'?"

"Wow... these really have a lot of personality."

The three silently examined the emoticons.

"Hmm, it's tough to pick even with similar requests."

"My thoughts exactly."

"Weren't we going to do a vote to decide?"

When Lee Gyeongbok brought it up, the others nodded in agreent.

"Yeah, it's better to let the viewers choose. Let's set up a voting event, but instead of just votes, how about doing it as a random drawing with a quick interview segnt?"

As soon as Choi Byeonghun, who'd suggested the vote, started getting excited, Park Juho raised his hand.

"Ah, but I have one more thing to show you."

"Huh?"

"What else is there?"

In response, Park Juho operated his smart link device and brought up another image.

It was an emoticon featuring the personified Tri icon with a speech bubble. Inside the bubble, there was a drawing of a crab turning into the word "말" (word/speech).

"Oh! This! That!"

As soon as he saw it, Choi Byeonghun's eyes lit up. Lee Gyeongbok also smiled as he figured out the aning.

"Wow, 'Does this even make sense'. That's the aning, right?"

"Yeah. Looks like this designer is a viewer of our broadcast."

In the chat window, people had repeatedly asked for a "Does this even make sense" emoticon, and soone had finally made it.

Choi Byeonghun's eyes widened in realization.

"Wait, so this was made in a single day?!"

"So what?"

"Why do you an, so what! I may not know design all that well, but I've seen enough to know it takes a decent amount of work, even if it looks simple."

From a third party's perspective it might seem basic, but for the creator, it was never a small task.

Park Juho nodded along, agreeing.

"Of course, they didn't charge any extra, and said we could use it however we like. In fact, they said they'd be grateful if we did."

"However we want? Really? Wow... they must be a true fan."

Their gazes turned to Lee Gyeongbok, the actual recipient of all that fan sentint.

He was smiling broadly.

"For ...."

It was an utterly unfamiliar experience. He'd received more love from viewers than he'd ever expected.

The donations, the affectionate ssages, and the comnts left after his broadcasts—they all made him happy.

But this felt like a more advanced form of satisfaction. Not to belittle the other fans' expression of love, but this one required so much more effort, didn't it?

So, without hesitation, Lee Gyeongbok made his decision.

"Let's go with this person."

"Huh?"

"What about the vote?"

As Choi Byeonghun asked, Lee Gyeongbok picked up the cookie in front of him.

"We were going to do a vote because nothing stood out yet. But now things have changed."

He took a bite of the cookie filled with chocolate chips and smiled.

"If all else is pretty much equal, it's better to give these things to soone who truly loves the broadcast."

"As long as there's no huge difference in skill, I agree."

"Well... if you say so. It's kind of a sha for the content, but it's not the main thing anyway."

With Park Juho in agreent, Choi Byeonghun followed along.

"Juho, handle the contract, and please get these registered so we can use them right away."

That was Lee Gyeongbok's firm conclusion. After wrapping up the eting, Lee Gyeongbok and Park Juho got up to leave.

It was ti for their next schedule.

"Do well. I'll make sure the video turns out aweso."

"Yeah, thanks."

"I'll post the results in the group chat as soon as we get them."

Leaving Choi Byeonghun behind, the two climbed into their car. As the manager, Park Juho took the driver's seat.

"Second advertisent deal in less than a month, huh."

"We haven't agreed to anything yet. Let's see what they have to say first."

As Lee Gyeongbok settled in the passenger seat, he shrugged his shoulders.

"You know the way?"

"I don't. I've never been there."

At his question, Park Juho shook his head.

"Navi, set a route to GGG headquarters."

〈Routing to the shortest path.〉

At his command, the navigation responded.

A eting with the developer of Gunner Ground, "GGG," was waiting for them.
