"Sure! No problem!"
Sucrose smiled and instinctively nodded in agreent. Just as she was about to lean forward, she realized sothing.
Wait, what did the adventurer just say?
Touch... touch... touch my ears?!
Sucrose's pale cheeks suddenly flushed red, heat rising as she stared wide-eyed at Nolan, stamring, "Ah, p-please don't make such strange jokes!"
"But Sucrose's ears look so fluffy. I've always been curious about how they feel. If it's okay, could you let touch them?"
Nolan clasped his hands together, pleading earnestly.
"N-no, you can't! My ears are off-limits!"
Sucrose quickly raised her hands, waving them in refusal. She felt like her head was going to explode. Never had she expected to be asked sothing so... bold.
"Alright."
Seeing her rejection, Nolan lowered his head in slight disappointnt.
Since Sucrose wasn't willing, he would just have to wait for another chance to fulfill his wish of touching her ears. After all, with her affection level this high, it didn't seem like an impossible goal anymore.
"Phew~"
Sucrose let out a small breath of relief, glad that Nolan gave up on his request.
"You can ask for sothing else, sothing I can actually do—but not touching my ears!"
"Uh, aside from that, I haven't really thought of anything yet. Maybe next ti, when I figure it out?"
Nolan glanced longingly at Sucrose's fluffy green ears one last ti before looking away.
"Ugh, you're really making things difficult, Mr. Adventurer," Sucrose muttered.
She thought Nolan had dropped the idea, but seeing that glimr of hope in his eyes made her realize that he hadn't given up. Her heart raced again as her hands fidgeted nervously.
Seeing Nolan looking so dejected stirred a bit of guilt in her.
Maybe... letting him touch them just once wouldn't be that bad. It'd be over quickly, and surely it wouldn't feel too strange.
If the adventurer insisted this much, maybe she could just let him satisfy his curiosity a little.
With her face still flushed, she whispered shyly, "O-okay... I'll let you touch them. Just... lightly. Just once, okay? Don't touch for too long."
"Really?"
Nolan looked at the flustered, adorable Sucrose who kept emphasizing that it could only be a brief touch. He was surprised but thrilled by the sudden turn of events.
"Mm-hmm, I'll be quick," he agreed eagerly.
Though, of course, when the mont ca, he planned to enjoy it fully. With Sucrose's shy nature, who knew when he'd get another chance?
"Then... go ahead," Sucrose said, placing her hands behind her, resting on her hips, and looking down at her feet with her face still flushed.
Nolan nodded slightly and took two steps forward, closing the distance between them. Slowly, he reached out toward her fluffy ears.
As his fingers lightly touched the tip of her ear, the soft, green fur twitched like a startled bunny, shrinking slightly. Sucrose seed to feel a tickle, closing her eyes tightly, as if bracing for sothing unpleasant.
It was as though she were awaiting punishnt from a mischievous villain.
And Nolan was, without a doubt, that mischievous villain.
He gently pinched her ear, feeling its soft warmth in his hand.
"Ngh..."
The mont Sucrose's ear was pinched, it was as if a jolt of electricity shot through her entire body.
Her body instinctively trembled.
The lace hem of her dress fluttered as her legs, wrapped in semi-transparent stockings, suddenly lost all strength, causing her to collapse helplessly to the ground.
"Are... are you done?" Sucrose asked, her voice small and breathless.
She hadn't expected her ears to be so sensitive. Normally, when she rubbed them herself, it never felt this strange.
Ugh… if I had known, I wouldn't have agreed to this. Sucrose silently regretted her decision.
At that mont, she swore to herself that she would never let Nolan do sothing like this again!
Just this once!
"You sat down too quickly earlier, I didn't get to fully feel what it was like. Please, let touch them again," Nolan said as he squatted down beside her, now face-to-face with the blushing Sucrose. His hands once again reached for her fluffy ears.
Didn't I only agree to let him touch them once?!
Sucrose wanted to protest, but the tingling sensation spreading through her body as he rubbed her ears left her unable to speak. All she could do was exhale softly.
Seeing no resistance from Sucrose, Nolan assud she was fine with it and continued kneading her ears, marveling at the delightful sensation.
After about a minute, Sucrose's face had turned completely red, as if she were intoxicated. She seed to have lost the strength to sit up, her body and face collapsing against Nolan's chest.
Her hands pressed weakly against his waist, trying to push him away, but her body felt as though it had fallen apart. Her hands lacked the strength to push him away, let alone muster any resistance.
Nolan continued to gently knead her ears and, noticing her body slipping down against him, he realized that he wouldn't be able to keep rubbing her fluffy ears properly like this.
So, he adjusted his posture, sitting cross-legged with his back against the lab table. Then, he lifted Sucrose, positioning her to straddle his lap while her flushed face remained pressed against his chest.
This made it easier for him to keep playing with her ears.
Since Sucrose hadn't objected, Nolan thought she must be enjoying the sensation of having her ears rubbed. So, he didn't stop.
But soon, Nolan noticed sothing strange.
"Sucrose?"
He called her na softly but received no response.
Puzzled, Nolan looked down at her face and saw that at so point, she had fallen asleep. Her breathing was steady, but she looked exhausted.
Uh... did I overdo it? Nolan wondered, feeling a bit embarrassed.
There was no helping it. He decided to hold her and wait for her to wake up on her own. As for why he didn't wake her imdiately—he simply enjoyed holding a girl in his arms and wanted to savor it a bit longer.
Ten minutes passed, and by now, it was exactly 10 a.m.
Suddenly, Nolan felt the weight on his chest lighten slightly. It was Sucrose waking up and lifting her face from his chest.
Clearly, she rembered his over-the-top behavior. Now, she was staring at him with teary eyes, her lips trembling as if she were about to cry.
"...I'm sorry, Sucrose," Nolan apologized sincerely, trying to calm her down with his words.
Damn, I shouldn't have been so greedy and rubbed her ears for so long. Now it's getting hard to fix things.
But Sucrose's ears were so fluffy and soft—how could anyone resist?
Sucrose, still feeling weak, looked at Nolan. The more she thought about how long he had been rubbing her ears, the more she felt it had been excessive. But at the sa ti, she found it hard to actually be angry with him.
She wanted to say sothing to vent her frustration, but she didn't even know what to say.
Feeling helpless, Sucrose finally gave up on holding back her emotions and began to softly sob.
Oh no...
Nolan, seeing the crying girl still on his lap, realized he was in big trouble.
Comforting a crying girl was no easy task.
