These afterimages seed intangible—when Beisht struck them with water-elent attacks, they passed through harmlessly.
Yet when the afterimages' swords struck her, they left real wounds.
Even more terrifying, these attacks completely ignored her defenses—every strike landed directly on her weak spots.
A single hit wasn't too painful—not even as strong as Bai Luo's earlier flashy combos.

In truth, Bai Luo's current Starburst Stream was a modified version.
He did have access to the original Starburst Stream, but only after obtaining his exclusive equipnt could his Elental Burst be changed to the classic Dual Blades.
Each version had its pros and cons.
For instance, the non-exclusive version had built-in invincibility and true damage.
anwhile, the exclusive equipnt version of Starburst Stream sacrificed both true damage and invincibility in exchange for a single burst of overwhelming power.
Both had their rits.
Unsurprisingly, Bai Luo focused his Starburst Stream on Beisht's rightmost head.
Within one second, all sixteen strikes landed.
Finally, the rightmost head collapsed, falling heavily into the sea, unable to even lift itself again—only letting out helpless wails.
Even after enduring all of Bai Luo attack, it still clung to life—a testant to its sheer thickness of HP.
Had it been Tartaglia, without his Foul Legacy Transformation, he would have been dead on the spot.
As the sixteen-hit combo ended, Bai Luo materialized atop the fallen head.
Gripping Beisht's lone horn, Elucidator still in hand, he completely ignored the other three heads growling at him threateningly.
Staring at the half-dead head beneath him, Bai Luo knew—this was it.
The reason he had targeted a single head this whole ti was simple—he wanted to push its HP below the execution threshold as quickly as possible.
Now—
It was ti for the finisher.
Buzz——
A pale golden light surged into the sky, piercing through Beisht's storm clouds and blowing a massive hole in them.
Under the now-parted sky, Bai Luo stood completely bathed in that golden pillar of light.
"ROAR——"
Beisht had long since resolved herself—if necessary, she would sacrifice a head to take Bai Luo down with her.
But this divine radiance from above froze her in place, stopping her dead in her tracks.
"This is...?"
Under the glow of that pale gold light, Beisht's frenzied mind suddenly cald.
Yet instead of relief, her entire body trembled in fear.
Was it because of the light?
Yes, but also no.
She could feel the threat within this radiance, but she knew it wasn't enough to outright kill her.
However—
This pure, absolute light... was no ordinary elental energy.
In her mories, only one kind of existence could create and wield such light.
A God.
"Gather! O river of light that's guided by the fairies!!"
"Shine! In order to perish the fangs of evil!"
"Fairy Glitter!"
As Beisht let out a final anguished roar, the halo of golden light surrounding her blazed forth.
The head beneath Bai Luo's foot—
Didn't even have ti to let out a final scream.
It was simply... consud by light.
At the end of the day, Beisht was a follower of Osial—far more durable than an Ancient Geovishap.
That head was dead, no doubt about it.
But unlike the Geovishaps that turned to ashes, Beisht's body remained intact.
If she had previously held a determined resolve to fight to the death...
After witnessing that light, the other three heads began to cower in fear.
The remaining three heads of Beisht let out warning growls while slowly retreating.
Bai Luo glanced at his cooling-down skills but didn't give chase.
Instead, he switched into Battousai Class, gripping his Reverse Blade Sword, and simply sat atop one of Beisht's remaining heads.
The storm clouds had begun to disperse, and the once raging waves were now calm.
Even sea creatures and marine beasts could be seen lurking nearby.
However, none dared to approach Bai Luo—they only circled from a distance, forming an eerie empty zone around him.
Since Beisht had only lost one head—not truly died—there was no catastrophic after-effect like when the God of Salt perished, drowning everything in salt.
Still, the pressure radiating from Beisht's remaining heads was undeniably real.
Half an hour later, the Alcor finally arrived.
Standing at the prow, Beidou had her hair tied up in a new hairpin, but her right arm was in a sling, and her left arm was wrapped in bandages from the forearm down.
She looked in terrible shape, but she insisted on leading the crew personally.
The Alcor was in bad condition.
The waves generated during Bai Luo's fight with Beisht had severely affected them.
Had it not been for the Vision wielders on board working together, the ship might have capsized.
Now that Beisht had fled, the storm clouds naturally vanished as well.
Just as promised, Beidou ca back.
However, knowing that Bai Luo's opponent was none other than Osial's wife, Beidou didn't dare take unnecessary risks.
She only brought the Alcor, leaving the other two ships behind as backup.
"He... really took down that thing?"
The crew stared at the massive severed sea serpent head in the water.
Even though it had lost its blue markings due to being separated from its body, its sheer presence was still terrifying.
Even from the safety of the ship, the sight of that enormous corpse made their scalps tingle.
"He must have only forced it to retreat."
Beidou observed the dark clouds drifting away and ford a rough guess.
But if he had forced Beisht to retreat, then this 'Himura Kenshin' was even stronger than she had imagined.
Though she hadn't witnessed the fight, the scars on the massive sea beast told the whole story—
Deep, crisscrossing wounds,
Marks of strangulation,
Even its lifeless eyes, once crystal clear, were now murky, as if it had suffered indescribable pain.
But the most terrifying part?
Himura Kenshin's condition.
By their logic, fighting such a monstrous beast should have left him at death's door—or at the very least, as badly injured as Beidou herself.
Yet the red-haired wanderer, sitting there with his Reverse Blade Sword, was...
Completely fine.
Aside from his pants being a little wet, there wasn't even a scratch on his clothes.
Which ant—
Even after chopping off one of Beisht's heads, he was still fighting effortlessly.
That was... terrifying.
