Bai Luo didn’t mind. He simply returned a gentle smile and walked toward the main hall.
Sangonomiya Kokomi seed to have been waiting for a long ti. Today she wasn’t wearing her usual outfit, but a simple white long dress instead.
Her long hair wasn’t tied up either—it spilled freely down her back like a flowing waterfall.
Even before he reached her, her gentle fragrance drifted toward him.
"You’re here?"
Her tone was calm, but within that calmness hid a trace of sorrow.
At so point in her life, nothing had gone the way she wished.
She wished to be a strategist working from the shadows—but beca the publicly burdened Divine Priestess.
She wanted to make life better for the people of Watatsumi Island—but instead watched them fall under the control of the Fatui.
And now... even her most important mont might no longer be hers to decide.
Just as the Ausbilder had said—perhaps she really was nothing more than a little fish trapped and toyed with by others.
"What’s with this outfit?"
Holding his Reverse Blade Sword, Bai Luo asked in confusion.
"At a ti like this, at least give the freedom to decide how I dress."
She sighed quietly. Perhaps this was her subtle way of showing that she was still resisting him.
"Fair enough. This is your ho, you should dress however you want."
Bai Luo shook his head lightly. It seed his words earlier that day had hit her harder than he expected.
Had he known, he would’ve smacked her unconscious before leaving—let her get so real rest.
If he accidentally broke her...
Forget it, forget it. She still looked fairly normal... probably?
"You ca like this...?"
Not feeling Bai Luo approach, Kokomi turned around.
And found that instead of coming toward her, Bai Luo had sat down on a bench nearby—staring off in a daze.
Seeing his outfit, a flash of displeasure passed through her eyes.
"What else do you expect?"
Bai Luo looked at her strangely, not understanding what she ant. He had co to properly teach Teppei a lesson.
Without the appearance of Battousai, many things would be inconvenient.
"At the very least... Battousai was once the hope of and all of Watatsumi Island. Ausbilder, please... change your appearance."
"...?"
What was wrong with this girl? Why was she saying such weird things again?
Since when did she get to decide what form he used to teach his student?
He had only used Battousai’s appearance to fool her; did she need to react this dramatically?
"Sigh..."
Seeing his silence, Kokomi realized he most likely wouldn’t change his appearance.
Fine. Whatever.
Looking at Battousai’s face... at least felt a bit more comforting than looking at the Ausbilder’s actual one.
But after sitting down, the Ausbilder simply began idly playing with his own fingers, showing no intention of moving even a little.
"Aren’t you coming over?"
Humans tended to fixate on strange things.
For example—Kokomi originally resisted this entire matter from the bottom of her heart, but when she saw Bai Luo’s attitude, she instead felt... strangely defeated.

She already had a good idea of who the "other person" was.

Bai Luo paused. Once Teppei arrived, he would indeed be doing sothing painful to Kokomi.
And he hadn’t warned her about it ahead of ti—that part was admittedly excessive.

Kokomi almost laughed from sheer anger.
Was I asking you about speed or pain tolerance?

"When Teppei gets here, don’t move. Leave everything to ."

Teppei? Not Sveta?
This was even worse than she imagined!
Are you trying to drag the Divine Priestess’s dignity through the mud in front of her own people!?
Kneeling in place, Kokomi trembled with rage.
Her Vision began to glow softly, water gathering at her fingertips.
His words had pushed her rationality to the breaking point.
Fine—destroy everything. Even if it costs everything, I refuse to let you—
Knock knock knock—
The knocking at the door jolted her mind back to clarity.
The water orb she had ford burst, splashing all over her.
"He’s here?"
Hearing the knock, Bai Luo stood up imdiately, energized, and walked to Kokomi’s side.
"You... you..."
Soaked in water, she instinctively stepped back when he approached.
With a sharp shing, the Reverse Blade Sword slid from its sheath.
The cold gleam of the blade made goosebumps crawl up her skin.
Battousai was most famous for his swordsmanship—was he planning to...?
"It might hurt a bit, but trust —it’ll be fine."
With a gentle smile, Bai Luo thrust the blade forward.
Before Kokomi could even react, the Reverse Blade Sword pierced straight through her chest.
The blade erged from her back, slick with the heat of her heart’s blood.
And this scene was seen clearly by Teppei, who had just burst into the hall after hearing the commotion.
"Teppei, you shouldn’t have co at this mont."
Pulling the blade free, Bai Luo watched as the Divine Priestess collapsed onto the hall floor.
He extended his tongue and lightly licked the warm blood still coating the tal.
