Now reading: Chapter 132: Herta: “Let’s get married!” from Genshin Impact: Joining the Genius Society, a Game novel by YonkoSlayer.

"Did you learn anything?"

Asta’s mind felt like a scrambled ss.

She stared blankly at the crystal sphere Su Ran held in his hand.

It took her a long while before she managed to speak:

"I learned... that I’m useless..."

So this was what geniuses were like?

Compared to Herta’s inventions and research, Su Ran’s "experint" was on an entirely different, absurd level.

It wasn’t sothing a normal person could even begin to understand.

It was basically just—

Do this.

Do that.

Then do this again.

And boom—experint complete.

If this person hadn’t been personally acknowledged by Herta, Asta would’ve suspected he was a fraud.

Su Ran sighed.

"Asta, Asta... I can tell you haven’t been studying.

All this ti with Herta and you didn’t learn a single new trick?"

"But you built a device that can contain an entire star system in just over two days!

Who on earth is supposed to believe that!?"

Asta felt completely wronged.

Ordinary minds simply couldn’t comprehend the workings of a genius.

She already thought Herta was insane enough.

She never imagined Su Ran would be even more outrageous.

Ridiculous inventions aside— the speed was what truly destroyed her.

"Anyway, let’s test it.

My intuition says it’ll work.

And I want to see how far my talent can go."

Su Ran didn’t hesitate.

"Even if you’re a genius... this is too ridiculous.

If this works, I’ll eat my boot..."

Asta muttered under her breath, but still followed Su Ran out.

Geniuses often created things beyond the reach of ordinary humans— that was normal.

But this?

Even for a Genius Society mber, she wanted to know how outrageous Number 85 could get.

The entire Herta Space Station shook.

Its orbit even shifted off its original trajectory.

Though the disturbance lasted only a mont, it was enough to cause massive trouble.

Herta—who had been offline for quite so ti— imdiately reconnected through the nearest puppet to Asta.

Of course she did.

She knew very well Asta would be shadowing Su Ran.

If anyone knew his movents, it would be her.

But the mont she connected, she saw sothing that made even Herta fall silent.

A massive star system was shrinking.

Shrinking— and rapidly approaching the Space Station.

A system that once required light-years to asure had already compressed to just over three ters wide.

Even Herta could hardly believe it.

And it still wasn’t done shrinking.

Soon, the once enormous star system—already compressed countless tis— continued to shrink until it reached...the size of a fist.

Then a Herta puppet casually caught it in one hand.

Asta’s worldview had shattered so thoroughly it resembled dust.

This actually worked?!

The imagination and creativity of geniuses truly surpassed mortal limits.

Herta didn’t have mind-reading abilities— but if she did, she definitely would’ve retorted:

"Because even I can’t do this."

A crystal sphere containing an entire star system now rested in Su Ran’s palm.

"Whew~ I’m exhausted. I haven’t rested in two whole days."

Asta: Ababa–

"What’s this?"

Herta imdiately reached out to grab it— but Su Ran snatched it out of reach.

"Just a star system, nothing special."

"Let see!"

"Nooo~ Herta-sis~"

Su Ran held the crystal sphere high above his head.

Herta saw this and lunged forward, hugging him from behind.

Since Su Ran was currently using a Herta puppet, his height was limited—making it easy for Herta to grab him like a plush toy.

"Asta! Grab the sphere from his hand!"

She chose the optimal solution: call for backup.

Asta was shorter than Herta’s real body, but still much taller than the puppets.

With her help, Herta easily seized the crystal sphere.

Afterwards, Asta bowed her head guiltily.

Even though she felt terrible, she couldn’t deny Herta’s request.

"Asta, shoulder massage."

Since she already felt guilty, Su Ran felt no pressure in ordering her around.

As expected—Asta obeyed obediently.

anwhile, Herta was examining the crystal sphere from every angle— left, right, upside down, and even looked like she wanted to knock on it.

"What’s the chanism behind this thing?"

Unable to discern its principles, Herta finally turned to Su Ran.

"It’s my personal patent. Not for external distribution."

Su Ran refused imdiately.

"How many credits? I’ll buy it!"

Anything you could buy with money— Asta could afford.

After all, Asta was Herta’s personal wallet.

"One... quadrillion."

Su Ran casually threw out a number.

"Asta."

Herta called out without hesitation.

"Huh!? I—"

Asta froze mid-massage, expression miserable.

She didn’t have that kind of money!

Even the entire Interastral Peace Corporation didn’t have that kind of money!

These two bicker, and she’s the one who suffers!??

Just then, both Herta and Su Ran’s expressions shifted slightly.

Even Asta sensed sothing unusual.

"So even His gaze was drawn here..."

Herta murmured.

After a brief daze, she looked toward Su Ran— whose daze had lasted a bit longer.

Clearly, Nous had dragged him aside for a private chat.

"So? What did you two talk about?"

Herta’s puppet leaned in so close their faces were nearly touching, and Su Ran had to push her away.

He wasn’t physically here— otherwise he might’ve kissed her out of reflex.

"He asked about the underlying principle."

"And you refused?"

"No. I agreed."

Herta’s eyes snapped open wide.

"What!? You agreed? Did He pay you?"

What kind of person was this!?

She thought Su Ran was fearless.

But the mont it ca to Nous— he folded like wet paper!?

He demanded money from her, but handed everything to Nous without blinking!?

"Because He promised to open a dedicated access channel for .

Which ans the computing power He lent ... will be mine permanently."

Basically—

His temporary trial card got upgraded to a permanent mbership.

Naturally, Su Ran had to show respect.

Nous gave him too much.

Even soone as envied as Herta found herself jealous.

"...Let’s get married!"

Herta blurted out suddenly.

"So that our assets can be joint property!"
