Maybe it was because of the drool, but the temperature of the flas had started to rise.
After a mont's thought, Lin Feng said earnestly, "Control the intensity of your flas. If you can keep your fire steady even while distracted by temptation, your skill control will improve dramatically in the future!"
Combusken didn't reply it was still breathing fire but deep down, it had the nagging feeling that its Trainer was pulling one of his motivational tricks again.
"In fact," Lin Feng added slyly, "let's put it another way. If you can't keep the heat under control, these eggs won't turn out tasty. And if they're not tasty, you're the one who'll have to eat them all."
Combusken: "???"
That got its full attention. It imdiately beca hyper-focused on keeping its flas steady, terrified that Lin Feng might actually ruin the flavor.

Seeing Combusken so easily manipulated, Lin Feng let out a quiet chuckle.
On the griddle, an egg was sizzling away, its edges crisping in the oil. While the yolk was still soft, he drizzled in a little honey and seasoning, then flipped it.
He also turned over the ribs he had been grilling to one side.
Given the number of Pokémon in his care these days, making a hundred eggs wouldn't be unusual.

At his current pace, it took barely ten minutes to finish a hundred eggs, each releasing a mouthwatering sweet aroma.

"Co on down, you too."
"Pi-gey…"
Up in the pine tree, the "Pidgeotto" that had gone sightseeing with Lin Feng earlier wasn't overly impressed with the trip. But it had noticed that a Dragonite with a familiar aura had returned to the ranch with him.
That gave it an idea.
It had to find that Pokémon with its sa "scent" and see what was going on.
So, Pidgeotto decided: after tonight's al, it would leave. Before that, it'd reveal its true identity to Lin Feng just to give him a shock.
It could already imagine his reaction.
"Pi-gey~"
The thought alone amused it.
But then… sothing in the air slled better and better so good it made its head spin.
It twitched restlessly on the branch, unable to resist the scent coming from the eggs below.
Finally…
Just as it was about to give in, Lin Feng called them down.

That jolted it back to its senses. It clutched its egg protectively. "Pi-gey!" (No way, mine!)
It tore into the olet with its talons, savoring every bite with a blissful expression.
But once the excitent faded, it began to feel conflicted again.
Tomorrow… should it still leave?
Maybe… the day after?
anwhile, Lin Feng watched from the corner of his eye, suppressing a smirk until the system notification sounded, and his expression froze.
