Fortunately, after a bit of experinting, Snivy discovered that whenever it spread its energy around, any unwanted weeds would quickly vanish.
What's more, Snivy realized that its energy could also influence other plants nearby.
Following this subtle energy ripple, it closed its eyes and tried to rge any life energy in the Grassy Terrain that didn't belong to it, forcing it to carry the sa green glow.
The process wasn't slow at all.
Within five or six seconds, the surrounding weeds had already been assimilated by the Grassy Terrain.
Then, with a single ntal command from Snivy, all weeds within thirty ters were torn out of the ground and suspended in the air.
"Snivy?"
When Snivy opened its eyes, it found Lin Feng staring at it in amazent.
"Wow, you're picking it up fast! I was just wondering whether you could use Grassy Terrain to take over other plants here, and you figured it out before I even said anything."
"Snivy!"
Snivy lifted its chin, trying to look calm and unbothered.
But the notification chiming inside Lin Feng's mind gave away how pleased it really was.
"Excellent. This way, we'll be able to clear out all the weeds in the entire plantation in no ti."
After praising Snivy once more, Lin Feng focused his attention on his system interface.
It was obvious that the system's latest reward was, once again, a Golden Fertilizer and a Rare Candy.
After so many rewards, Lin Feng had started to notice a few patterns.
First, the system's reward chanism only triggered when a Pokémon's happiness level increased by at least ten points at once.
Second, it seed like every Pokémon's "first ti" accomplishing sothing significant ca with a special bonus.
For example, there was Sandshrew's Sand Cloak, Feebas's Life Berry, and Snivy's Special Scale Berry.
And the bigger the jump in happiness points, the more generous the reward tended to be.
Like when he first captured Snivy and Feebas, he'd received TMs and Aptitude Pokéblocks as bonuses.
Especially those Pokéblocks they could actually improve a Pokémon's base potential!
In the Pokémon breeding world, that was no small matter.
Typically, raising a Pokémon's potential was sothing only possible with Legendary Pokémon.
Even though crafting those items required so expensive ingredients, compared to the value of Legendary Pokémon, anything you could buy with money was still manageable.
Plus, the system provided those ingredients as rewards.
Take the Life Berry and Special Scale Berry, for example. Both were essential materials for making Aptitude-Boosting Pokéblocks.
The only difference was their focus.
A Pokéblock made with the Life Berry significantly boosted a Pokémon's stamina and physical endurance.
One made with the Special Scale Berry, on the other hand, greatly improved Special Attack.
Watching Snivy diligently "working," Lin Feng couldn't help but smile.
A little bit of attitude was fine. As long as it listened and did its job, that was all that mattered.
"Brother Feng! Brother Feng! Are you here?"
A crisp voice called from outside. A figure ca rushing through the plantation's wooden gate without bothering to knock.
Lin Feng didn't even have to look to know who it was.
Soone this impatient and bold enough to barge into his ho could only be Qin Shu.
"What's up?"
Lin Feng turned around with a resigned expression.
He saw Qin Shu standing there in a white T-shirt, her hair tied up in a bun. When she spotted him, her eyes lit up imdiately.
"I knew you'd be here!"
Once inside, she quickly glanced around, then her gaze landed on Snivy.
Watching Snivy channeling energy to pull weeds up from the roots, Qin Shu's mouth fell slightly open, her expression shifting into pure astonishnt.
"Snivy… What's it doing?!"
"That's Grassy Terrain. Why? Didn't your teachers cover this in class?"
Lin Feng shot her a look.
"Or did you just not pay attention at all?"
"Ah… well, maybe we haven't gotten that far in the curriculum yet?"
Qin Shu pressed her lips together, her cheeks already flushed from the sun turning even redder until she looked like a monkey's backside.
In truth, she'd simply never paid attention in class.
"Heh."
Lin Feng let out two short, mocking laughs, then asked bluntly, "Alright, spill it. What do you want?"
"Heehee…"
Qin Shu quickly said, "So, Brother Feng, you won't believe it! There's this super annoying guy in our class who's always butting heads with . Even now that it's sumr break, he keeps texting nonstop. So I told him that if he's got the guts, he should battle in a Pokémon match. If he loses, he has to leave alone."
"But now he says he's going to enter the Baby Cup at Wangwang Supermarket and challenge there!"
"And his Pokémon is a Bulbasaur. I'm kind of worried I might lose…"
Lin Feng cut her off.
"So basically, you want my Snivy to help train your Squirtle?"
"Exactly!" Qin Shu nodded vigorously, completely serious.
"Ugh…"
Lin Feng sighed and said rcilessly, "What a childish way to settle things…"
It was pretty obvious that the boy probably liked Qin Shu, which was why he kept ssaging her all the ti.
"He's seriously so annoying, you know, Brother Feng?"
When Lin Feng didn't respond imdiately, Qin Shu began tugging at his arm, pleading, "Co on, pleeease help , Brother Feng…"
"Alright, alright."
Lin Feng pulled his arm away, looking mildly exasperated.
Not that he was unwilling to help.
After all, as a Breeder, this might technically count as his first paid commission.
Besides, he still needed to borrow Qin Shu's grandfather's Sandshrew at so point.
He was just worried that Snivy might refuse.
Because honestly… that Squirtle was kind of a clueless little goofball.
"Snivy?"
At that mont, Snivy had just finished clearing the last of the weeds and trotted back over to Lin Feng's side.
"Waaah, Snivy, you're such a good Pokémon…"
Seeing Snivy standing there, all the weeds gone, Qin Shu couldn't help blurting out a genuine complint.
She'd only ever seen such obedient, hardworking Pokémon in her grandfather's Sandshrew.
Snivy gave her a flat look, completely unfazed.
But when Lin Feng crouched down to gently brush a dry twig off its forehead, Snivy's mouth twitched into a tiny upward curve.
"Snivy!" (I did what I promised.)
"Yeah. Good job," Lin Feng praised warmly.
Then he explained Qin Shu's request.
"Snivy?" (You an helping that clueless turtle who can't even keep its head up when using Tackle?)
Sure enough, the mont Lin Feng brought it up, Snivy's brow furrowed into a deep scowl.
"Don't worry. I'll co up with a training plan. All you have to do is cooperate."
Lin Feng patted its head, trying to reassure it.
Actually…
Maybe he could even get Squirtle to help water the plantation.
After all, it was a Water-type Pokémon!
