Wang Zhan stood aside without any intention to help, as he could see that Jiang Yin had only suffered so superficial wounds, not serious ones.
Sure enough, after a while, Jiang Yin climbed up from the ground and rejoined the group.
The demonic beast that spoke earlier said again, "See, I didn’t lie to you, did I?"

In the sky, silhouettes of monstrous beasts appeared, whistling away.
Soon, several soldier-level demonic beasts lay on the ground.

Wang Zhan chuckled lightly, "This is the leader-level beast’s turf. I imagine it knows we’re here but hasn’t shown itself, likely wary of our strength. So, it’s not as terrifying as it sounds."
"But if it never shows itself, how will we find it?" Jiang Yin frowned slightly, asking in a deep voice.
Wang Zhan smiled, "That’s simple. If it hides, I’ll force it to reveal itself!"
As he spoke, flas appeared at Wang Zhan’s fingertips. He drew a circle around himself, and the fire quickly ignited, soon consuming entire darkness.
The surroundings lit up.
Wang Zhan squinted, scanning around until he saw everything clearly beside him.
They were in a massive altar, surrounded by stone walls. These walls were engraved with strange runes, resembling those of the Azure Dragon Venerable’s forr hideout.
But that wasn’t the focus. Wang Zhan’s gaze rested on a figure hundreds of steps away.
"Leader-level beast?"
Wang Zhan squinted and said in a deep voice, "Looks like we’re about to face the boss."
"It doesn’t matter."
Jiang Yin, holding the ancient zither in his hands, cautiously watched the leader-level beast. He said calmly, "Let’s divide roles: you’ll engage it in close combat, and I’ll support you. Together, I’m sure it won’t escape."
Though powerful, the leader-level beast didn’t concern Jiang Yin.
Wang Zhan nodded, gradually advancing toward the leader-level beast.
The leader-level beast, its eyes always closed, slowly lifted its head, then looked at Wang Zhan and Jiang Yin. Under its icy gaze, it didn’t hide its fury, "Ignorant brats, daring to enter the Map Spirit Formation? Do you really think I can’t kill you?"
Wang Zhan confidently shrugged and said lightly, "Since we’re here, we’re sure we can take you down. Prepare to die."
As he spoke, Wang Zhan hesitated not a mont, swiftly raising his Deep Fire Blade. With the assistance of the Origin Heart Fla, the blade seed covered in a chilling azure fla.
In a blink, a Fire Dragon soared into the sky, crashing toward the leader-level beast.
The lips of the leader-level beast slightly curled up. He glanced at Wang Zhan and then raised his arm, imdiately a giant shield appeared in front of him.
To Wang Zhan’s surprise, the Fire Dragon dissipated into smoke the instant it touched the shield, as if nothing had happened.
Jiang Yin beside him was also slightly stunned, but he didn’t hesitate and quickly plucked the zither strings. Suddenly, illusionary beasts appeared, striking the shield fiercely, only to have the sa result.
Jiang Yin’s eyes widened instantly, "How is this possible?"

Jiang Yin walked to his side, biting his teeth and said in a low voice, "Damn it, it seems this guy still has his last trump card. This attack is beyond our ability to withstand, plus the altar places certain restrictions on us, maybe we shouldn’t fight and should retreat first?"
Wang Zhan shook his head, his eyes filled with determination, "Have you thought that once the Map Spirit Formation is complete, the entire plane will be dood, at that ti, we’ll still be facing a dead end, rather than fighting here, perhaps we can fight for a slim chance of survival."
