[Simulation starting...]

[You have descended into the Warhamr universe]

[Location: Galaxy, Vidar Affiliated Star Region, Valf System]

[You have descended into the core cabin of a battle barge nad "Tempestus "...]

[You are standing in a coldly lit bridge, the pale green glow of countless data screens casting wan light across banks of navigation cogitators and tactical displays. The air hums with the low thrum of plasma conduits running through bulkheads, mixing with the constant murmur of activity.]

[Countless mortal crew mbers sit hunched before their stations, communication helts covering their heads as their fingers dance across runic keypads. Navigators with pale, strained faces monitor route calculations, their movents precise and economical. The subtle sounds of unknown instrunts being operated fill the space: the click of switches, the whisper of data-scrolls being fed through readers, the occasional beep of confirmation tones.]

[You blink, your eyes adjusting to the sickly illumination. A breath escapes through your nose, carrying the taste of recycled air and machine oil. You haven't yet pieced together your identity or understood where exactly you are in this vast vessel.]

["Are you listening? Captain Amhrad?" A husky female voice cuts through your disorientation, doubt coloring her tone.]

[You turn your head imdiately, power armor servos whirring softly with the movent.]

[Before you stands a middle-aged woman wearing the crisp uniform of an Imperial Navy Vice Admiral. Her skin is wheat-colored, weathered by years of void service, and her short hair is cut with military precision. Her right arm has been replaced with a chanical prosthesis, the augtic limb gleaming dully in the green light. The combination of sharp features, calculating eyes, and obvious combat experience marks her as a senior officer who has earned her rank through blood and capability.]

["Uh... Captain Gretus? Please continue your previous topic." The na and rank slip from your mouth reflexively, erging from sowhere deep in your consciousness.]

[Then mories flood in, a small fragnt of unfamiliar experiences rushing through the depths of your mind like cold water. Nas, faces, duties, all settling into place with uncomfortable speed.]

["Okay, Captain Amhrad..." Captain Gretus's solemn expression shifts slightly, the corners of her mouth twitching with barely restrained concern. She takes a deep breath, her augtic fingers flexing unconsciously. "But you seed distracted just now. I'll repeat my previous report."]

[You manage a fleeting smile, dismissing her worry without embarrassnt or explanation. You lower your head slightly, gaze fixed on her as she speaks, your posture attentive now despite the confusion still swirling behind your eyes.]

[As the female captain's report continues, it combines with those newly acquired mory fragnts to gradually clarify your current situation. The pieces slot together with increasing clarity, painting a grim picture.]

[This is the flagship of the Astral Knights Chapter, the Tempestus battle barge. You are the current Chapter Master of the Astral Knights, commander of all your brothers and responsible for their survival.]

[The entire fleet under your command is crossing the Vidar Subsidiary Star Region, approaching the Valf System with all possible speed. There, a massive rescue armada is assembling: combatants from as many as fifteen chapters, including the legendary Ultramarines, the tenacious Invaders, the noble Blood Angels, and the stoic Aurora Chapter.]

[Your combat mission is singular and absolute.]

[Stop the World Engine.]

[The Necrons' planetary weapon warship has been carving a path of absolute destruction through Imperial space. Before your arrival, two vital agricultural planets had been completely annihilated by the World Engine's terrifying weaponry, transford into lifeless husks with no hope of recovery or repair. Billions dead. Entire ecosystems erased.]

[You listen to Captain Gretus's report in silence, absorbing every tactical detail and casualty estimate. The weight of it settles on your shoulders like lead.]

[You don't say much when she finishes, simply frowning as you give her clear instructions.]

["When the fleet arrives at the rendezvous point in the Valf system, notify imdiately."]

[Your power armor, painted primarily in iron gray with blue spray accents marking your chapter's colors, hums as you turn and walk toward the bridge exit. Each footfall rings against the deck plating with chanical precision.]

[The veteran squad from Third Company, who have been waiting quietly near the entrance, imdiately step forward and raise fists to their chests in salute. They are your personal guard, warriors assigned to protect the Chapter Master at all tis.]

[Your heart feels heavy, burdened by knowledge they don't yet fully comprehend. You raise one hand, refusing their escort with a gesture. You need ti alone, space to think.]

[You walk into the tal passage ahead, leaving them behind despite their obvious concern.]

[Not long after, unfamiliar with the battle barge's interior layout despite the borrowed mories, you stop at a three-way intersection. The passages stretch in different directions, identical in their utilitarian grimness.]

["Respected Chapter Master, where do you want to go?" A cold female voice, distinctly chanical yet sohow purposeful, echoes around you.]

[You look around with an expressionless face, searching for the source. The tal passage is empty except for the cold white light emanating from lun strips overhead. No servitors, no crew, no visible speakers.]

["Chapter Master, I am the machine soul of the battle barge Tempestus. If you like, you can call Procellas... Where do you need to go now? Do you need my help?"]

[The shipborne machine soul nad Procellas speaks again, her voice carrying that sa chanical quality overlaid with sothing almost conversational.]

[You raise your eyebrows in surprise, then glance downward reflexively. Your eyes catch on the tal helt mag-locked to your waist, its communication systems active. Obviously, the machine soul's voice is being transmitted directly through your armor's vox system.]

["When did the Imperium's 'machine souls' beco so... talkative." You pause, considering. "Procellas, right? Contact all Astartes in the Chapter. Have them assemble at the large training ground inside the ship."]

["Okay, Chapter Master. I'm contacting Fleet Master Sheherz of the 6th Company and the captains of the other companies now... Please enter the passage on the right. It leads directly to the midship training facility." Procellas's response is imdiate, efficient.]

[You nod without expression, processing this unusually responsive machine spirit with quiet curiosity.]

[You continue forward in your power armor, entering the tal passage where cold light still bathes everything in stark illumination. The corridors wind deeper into the vessel's interior, passing maintenance servitors that shuffle past with single-minded devotion to their tasks. Their chanical components whir and click as they work, oblivious to your passage.]

[By the ti you arrive at the large training ground, the assembly is complete. Eight hundred and three Astartes brothers stand in perfect formation, their power armor creating a sea of iron gray and blue. The sight is simultaneously magnificent and sobering: this is your entire Chapter, every battle-brother who will face what's coming.]

[You see Fleet Master Sheherz of 6th Company imdiately, twelve service studs implanted across his forehead marking decades of honored service. Around him stand the captains of the other companies, along with the Master of Sanctity Masayak and the Chief Librarian Hyalhi. Their armor is decorated with campaign badges and purity seals.]

[They turn forward as one and raise fists to their chests, the salute crisp and unified.]

["Captain!" Each voice carries different tones, different pitches, but equal respect.]

[The tall figures of the company commanders move forward, their footsteps heavy. At their approach, the Astartes brothers who had been emitting so noise, quiet conversations between squads, imdiately fall into absolute silence.]

[They raise their ceramite-wrapped arms almost simultaneously, slamming closed fists against the front of their chest plates. The dull knocking sound echoes through the training ground like thunder, eight hundred synchronized impacts creating a percussion of loyalty.]

["Captain!" The assembled Chapter greets you again, voices loud and perfectly unified.]

[You narrow your eyes slightly and exhale forcefully, the breath carrying tension you can't quite release. You nod slowly to the warriors before you, acknowledging their readiness.]

["My fellow Astral Knights," you begin, stepping forward slowly, your voice calm despite the gravity of what you must say. "I think everyone should understand the basic situation of this battle, yes?"]

[You pause, letting the question hang in the air for a heartbeat.]

["If anyone still doesn't understand, I'll repeat it again. Those sleeping skeletons, the Necrons, have deployed a planetary weapon warship. It has attacked Imperial territory, and two agricultural planets have been destroyed, turned into dead worlds!" Your voice hardens with each word. "Billions of loyal Imperial citizens, erased in hours."]

["If we allow them to continue this rampage, the entire galaxy faces annihilation. Even the center of the Imperium, the Solar System itself, will suffer catastrophic damage! According to chanicus trajectory calculations, their ultimate goal is likely Mars itself. The forge world. The heart of our war machine."]

[You stop moving, your power armor falling still. You stand at the front of those neat, orderly rows, cold light falling from overhead to illuminate your iron-gray plate. Your gaze sweeps across every Astral Knight before you, eting eyes, reading faces.]

["The Valf rescue fleet we're about to join represents fifteen Chapters' worth of elite forces. It's the only military asset the Valf system can rely on. The only thing standing between the World Engine and total devastation."]

[You pause again, letting them absorb this.]

["But if any of you think this will be an easy battle, a glorious victory where we crush our enemies without cost, then I can tell you very frankly: that is completely wrong."]

[Your voice drops lower, more intense.]

["Because this will be the most difficult battle in the history of the Astral Knights. It may very well be the last battle of the Astral Knights."]

[You suddenly open your eyes wide, the words erupting from your throat with raw force.]

[You stare at the Astartes monks before you. Their faces remain expressionless, disciplined, but you can see it in their eyes: the fighting will deep in their hearts is building like pressure in a plasma coil, ready to erupt with volcanic fury.]

[A bright smile suddenly spreads across your face, genuine and almost relieved. If you're all going to die, better to do it with honesty between brothers.]

["Even standing here at this mont, as your Chapter Master, I cannot guarantee your survival. I won't lie to you about that."]

[The smile fades, replaced by solemn gravity.]

["The only thing I can promise you is this: I will fight side by side with you until the last mont of death. Until my last breath leaves my body, I will stand with my brothers."]

[As the final word leaves your mouth, you raise one ceramite-wrapped arm with solemn ceremony, stretching it high above your head. Under the cold light overhead, your clenched fist reflects tallic luster like stars scattered across a gauntlet.]

[You take a deep breath, filling your lungs completely, then roar at the assembled warriors before you.]

["Astral Knights! Destruction is salvation!"]

[The response is instantaneous and overwhelming. The massive sound wave from every Astartes throat nearly lifts the ceiling of the entire training ground. It echoes through the midship compartnts of the battle barge, reverberating through bulkheads and corridors, a war cry that carries the weight of absolute commitnt.]

["ASTRAL KNIGHTS! DESTRUCTION IS SALVATION!"]

[In the next heartbeat, every warrior raises their arm in perfect unison, eight hundred voices roaring with their full strength, channeling every ounce of their enhanced physiology into the Chapter's ancient battle cry.]

["FOR THE EMPEROR! FOR THE ASTRAL KNIGHTS!"]

[However, in that mont of deafening sound, a whisper as thin as a mosquito's wings floats from your mouth. The words are swallowed imdiately, drowned completely in the depths of the overwhelming war cry, heard by no one but yourself.]

["May the Emperor bless your loyal souls and illuminate the way for you to return to the Golden Throne..."]
