Upon entering the room, everyone was greeted with a warm and cozy environnt. Servants standing in the room, greeted everyone with a bow. They had been waiting for their arrival.
Noah's eyes scanned through the room with a quick glance before it returned to normal. He could see a couple of maids and servants standing in the corner of the room waiting for the City Lord's orders.
The whole room was decorated with small antiques. Even though they were not that much expensive they were elegant and matched the vibe of the room.
The City lord was the first to sit on the sofa placed in the middle of the room. Following behind him, Noah and Xin Yan took seats across from him.
As soon as they took the seat two maids approached them with pots of tea and poured them a cup. Xin Yan nodded at the maid with a small smile causing her to blush.
"How was your stay in the city? I hope you liked it!" City Lord started the conversation lightly while smiling at Xin Yan.
"We have been having quite the present stay here. Except for a couple of hicc-ups there was nothing unpleasant, city lord." Xin Yan replied, not trying to bring up the incident that happened with the Xu Family's young master.
Although she did not bring it up, the city Lord did not spare the chance to speak about it.
"That is good, the cri has suddenly gone up a little in these past two months. Several rcenaries went on missions. So local cultivators also faced the sa fate.
To top it all of the Xu Family Mysteriously disappeared overnight without any trace. I had to tighten the security around the city because of that.
I wonder who has the guts to go against one of the big families under my protection without any care." His words made it look like he was having a difficult ti but the truth was far from it.
He was aware that the people who went on missions were trouble makers and all the suspicious leads pointed towards a single person.
He looked at Noah only to see him calmly sipping tea like these matters had nothing to do with them.
'These things are definitely related to him sohow, the young master of the Xu Family went after this woman while the rest of them went after the boy.'
Even though he had suspicion he could not do anything against them without any proof. Even if there was, he did not want to do anything to them. He needed the boy to do sothing for him and the disappearance of the Xu family could be counted as a small price for that..
"I am happy that the city lord cares about our safety but can we move to the main topic that we ca here for?
I do not want to waste the city lord's precious ti."
'What a Brat! Do you think I cannot tell you are gloating because I do not have any evidence against you.'
Ma Mingli's lips twitched hearing his words, he could not help but roar in his heart when he saw the slight smile on Noah's face which seed like a scheming smirk to him.
The City lord claid himself down and looked at Noah before continuing.
"I would not beat around the bus. I would like to ask for your help." Noah's eyes narrowed a little, he did not think much and waited for the man to continue.
There was one of the many things that he learned in his long life and that was there is no point in rushing or thinking too much about anything. It would naturally reveal itself on ti and he should not dwell too much into them.
"You might be wondering why I am asking help from you when there are many people under who can do sothing better than you." Seeing him not saying anything, the city lord thought and said with a sagely look.
'Not really.' Noah thought but did not say out loud, not wanting to hurt the enthusiasm of the young boy in front of him. To him soone as young as Ma Mingli could be considered as a young boy.
"There is naturally a reason I am asking," Taking a sip from the tea he added. "Do you know what a Mysterious domain is?"
His tone was very serious at this mont as he looked deep in Noah's eyes waiting for his response. Even though he thought the boy might not be aware of such a thing because he was from a backwater place like Primal Dawn City.
He still asked about it and to his shock the boy nodded displaying that he was aware of what it was.
The Mysterious domain was a special space that existed in a realm connected to the world. It was like a different space that had its own rules and laws. They were called mysterious domains because of their unpredictable nature.
These space were set by the people who were above golden core realm. Only after a cultivator gains a certain understanding of the laws of nature. Only after that, they can tear a hole in the space to make their separate space but for that they had to burn their lifespan.
Even though they were strong, tearing a hole in space and creating a separate realm was not sothing that can be easily done without enough power.
These spaces were called domains, depending on the cultivators understanding these domains were made up of different environnts or nature. Like there were so Domains filled with lava, so with water or so with many other things.
Mostly Cultivators at the end of their lifespan use the last of their energies to leave inheritance behind for the future generation. These domains contained treasure, skill books, pills, weapons and much more things.
So people don't want their hard work and legacies to disappear with ti, so with the help of these domains they keep it going. To obtain these treasures from Different domains is not an easy task, so cultivators even lose their lives in such quests.
These domains have certain restrictions and they are also very unstable. The part usually depends on the strength of the cultivator who made it. Even after all of that they would have to complete the challenges left behind.
These challenges can be anything but mostly they were related to the main legacy. Only those who could pass these challenges were worthy enough to pass and gain the final treasure. So of these even contain beasts guarding the realm.
Noah's understanding of these domains were higher than that of the city lord since he got it from sothing better than information sites like Wik….. and all.
