After a while, the door to the room swung open, revealing two figures making their entrance.
They were none other than Xin Yan and the doctor who had been dragged here against his own will.
He was grumbling under his breath but a sharp glare from Xin Yan shut his mouth off. He had no choice but to give in to her demands.
After a brief examination, the doctor's attention shifted to Xin Yan, who continued to look at him with a chilling look in her hawk-like eyes that could unsettle even the bravest of souls.
Feeling a shiver run down his spine the doctor stamred,
"W-well, he is indeed fine, but there is so internal damage to his organs caused by a sudden surge of qi. It seems he used the second option to awaken. His condition is not critical, almost as if he was shielded or protected from the worst of it."
His voice was filled with a little annoyance as he thought. 'It would have been better if he got crippled in the process.'
Feeling a shiver down his spine he looked at the lioness in front of him looking at him like a prey she would swallow anyti. Gulping, he continued his assessnt.
"The blood from the internal injuries has not caused any blockage in his ridians. These are so dicinal herbs that could aid in his recovery. He primarily needs rest."
Handing over the list of dicinal items, the doctor hastily departed, eager to escape the formidable aura of Xin Yan. He was a mortal so he could not hold against the innate oppression of a cultivator.
Xin Yan approached the bedside and sat beside him, her fingers gently combing through his hair as tears welled up in her eyes and trickled down onto his forehead.
In a voice choked with emotion, she started to talk about how he was the sole purpose that breathed life into her existence, the only reason that provided her with the strength to carry on.
"You know Tian, if sothing had happened to you today, I would have lost my only reason to live."
The re thought of not having in her life crushed her soul. Unbeknownst to her, Long Tian, though unconscious, could still hear her words.
" I will get your dicines, wait for ."
Leaving Long Tian's side for a mont, Xin Yan rose from the chair and walked to the door of the room, gently closing it behind her as she stepped outside.
What she could not comprehend was that the feeling of dread never left her till now, even though he was safe and sound. Although he was unconscious, his life was out of danger.
'Yet what is this feeling?'
Monts after her figure disappeared from the courtyard, The doors of the room opened up once again revealing the figure of a teen girl. She was dressed in maid's attire, her eyes were cold as they glanced at the boy lying on the bed.
With slow and steady steps she walked to the side of the bed and pried open the mouth of the sleeping boy. Taking out a small bottle filled with water like transparent liquid from her robes, she dropped a few drops of it in his mouth and closed it again.
"With this mistress's mission will be completed and I can finally leave this cursed family. That horny Long Bai is just waiting to act against ." her eyes turned colder and she clenched her hands into a fist.
"Even though I took the position as the maid of the little girl, so that I could keep an eye on you for the Young Miss, that beast still tries to get inside my pants."
She looked at the boy lying on the bed and a small smile graced her face.
"Since the mistress wants to suddenly kill you, don't bla. Anyway you won't die easily as the poison is tasteless and odorless. It won't cause imdiate death or pain but in two to three days it will act instantly stopping your heart beat as you die in your sleep."
Walking away from the bed she left the final words behind.
" If you want to bla soone, bla your father for leaving you guys alone in this cruel world."
As her words ended, the maid left the room and closed the door as she removed all of her traces.
After half an hour, Xin Yan returned in a rush, her worries for her son's health intensifying. She hurried to his side, feeding him the dicinal soup she had prepared from the prescribed herbs.
With great care, she cleaned his face, hands, and feet using a damp cloth, and then employed her qi to dry him.
She spared no effort in tending to him, doing everything in her power to nurse him back to health, remaining by his side vigilantly.
Just like that, two days went by. Inside a dimly lit room there was a young boy at the age of 14 sleeping on the bed alone in the room for a while his eyes moved under the lids as if wanting to open them up.
Suddenly, the young boy's eyes snapped open as reality dawned upon him.
'I need to hurry and tell mother about the poison; only she might have a cure'
He thought urgently. Pushing his body using all of his will power to sit up on the bed, a sharp pain suddenly gripped his heart, causing his eyes to turn bloodshot as he clutched his chest tightly.
" No, no, no, NO! Not right now, NOT like THIS!! Mother, I need to see Her!!." he tried speaking but his voice ca out very low and grunted due to the pain he was experiencing.
As the weight of imminent death settled upon him, Long Tian's consciousness sharpened.
The realization that he might never be able to see Ruo'er and his mother again hit him very hard as a wave of regret washed over him.
He regretted being a coward and not accepting the genuine feelings of the woman he ca to love.
He regretted not telling his mother how much he was grateful for her being his mother and how much he cared for her.
He regretted wasting the second chance he got.
He regretted not reciprocating the love he showered by his mother.
HE REGRETTED EVERYTHING!!!
With each passing second, his heartache intensified, realizing that his silence had deprived him of the chance to create cherished mories and express his emotions.
Tears welled up in his eyes and trickled down his cheeks as he faced the bitter truth that his ti was slipping away.
The faces of his mother and the girl he loved appeared vividly before him, their smiles and warmth etched into his mory.
He longed to hold them one last ti, to convey the depth of his feelings before his life slipped into the darkness .

As the grip of death closed in around him, Long Tian felt his senses dulling down at an incredible pace. The edges of his vision blurred, and the sounds around him seed distant, as if he were underwater.
He could feel his heartbeat slowing, each thud resonating with a heavy, weighted finality. The very air he breathed seed to thin out, leaving him gasping for the life-giving oxygen that was slipping away.
His body, once filled with vitality, now felt heavy and numb. It was as if an invisible force was pulling him downwards, his limbs becoming unresponsive and cold.
He felt a chill creep into his bones, a sensation that carried with it a haunting foreboding. Every pulse of pain from the poison coursing through his veins served as a cruel reminder that his ti was running out.
In those final monts, as his heartbeat grew fainter and his senses dimd, Long Tian struggled with the cruel intimacy of death's embrace. With every ounce of his will, he fought for his life.
And in the end he failed to survive despite everything he did.
