Hearing Noah's question, realization dawned on Yu Ming. She rembered what she asked him to promise her. She did not think that she would forget such an important thing while worrying about his well-being. Ai showed slight interest in the conversation, wondering what kind of question Yu Ming had asked the boy.
"Hehe! I forgot about that… Do you think I will eventually be normal?" There was a slight hesitation in her voice. She did not want to get her hopes high only to be hurt once again. She had experienced too many of such instances.
Ai, who was confused at first, was enlightened by the topic, hearing that question. She could not help but narrow her eyes at the boy, thinking he was tricking Yu Ming.
"No human is normal. Everyone has one or two things ssed up with them. It is only the fact that they have either yet to explore that or are good at hiding it that makes them appear normal."
"Besides, you are one of the most 'normal' people I have t."
Hearing Noah's words, a small smile appeared on Yu Ming's face, surprising Ai. She had never seen her young miss smiling so warmly and brightly ever since her fight with her mother, and now an outsider made her smile like that…
'Just what happened to you here, young miss?' she thought in her heart, looking at Yu Ming with worry and care in her eyes. She had been together with the girl ever since she was born. She was like her own daughter. How could she not care about her?
"So, do you want to know about it now?" Noah asked again. To his surprise, Yu Ming shook her head in response.
"You believe that I will gain my height back eventually, right?" Seeing Noah nod, she continued. "I want you to save your answer for the ti we et again."
Her eyes glistened with sadness and reluctance. She had a feeling if she did not find a way to keep a connection between them, she might never see him again. She felt a pang of pain in her heart just thinking about that.
Noah sighed as if seeing through her intentions, but he nodded nonetheless. Xin Yan silently watched the interaction with a heavy heart. She was also feeling a little reluctant to part with the girl she ca to be close to.
Yu Ming smiled at Noah before leaping into Xin Yan's arms to hug her. She also wanted to hug Noah, but after what happened in their first eting, a slight hesitation and doubt always followed that thought. She could not bring herself to be closer to him.
"Look at you, acting like a little girl." Xin Yan did her best to hide her own sadness and flicked the girl's forehead.
"I will miss you, Aunty Xin!"
"Didn't I tell you to call Sister Xin!" Xin Yan smacked her head once again, reprimanding her. Ai could not help but see the image of her mistress and Yu Ming hugging in them. She could not help but yearn for seeing Yu Ming act like this with her real mother.
Yu Ming smiled like a silly girl in front of Xin Yan before separating. She was embarrassed to act like this in front of everyone, but she could not stop herself from acting like this.
"Let's leave now, Ai." Turning towards her maid, Yu Ming expressed her intentions to go back. Although she did not want to leave the mother and son, she also wanted to see her mother again.
The woman who did so much for her and still cared for her safety despite what she did.
The maid, who seed lost in her thoughts, snapped out of them hearing her words, and nodded while trying to regain her composure.
"May we et again, Miss, Young Master." Ai bowed to express her gratitude. She did not know what happened between the three of them, but she was happy to see her old young Miss from childhood back.
After that, she and Yu Ming were enveloped by a small portal and disappeared from everyone's eyes.
Noah looked at Xin Yan and sighed; he could sense that she was sad with this separation. Before he could say anything, he noticed several eyes landing on them.
He also noticed Lin Dan moving towards him along with Lin Feng. Naturally, Xin Yan also noticed this. Her expression behind the mask beca as frosty as it could get. She noticed several seals on her body appearing, which seed to keep her emotions and intentions from leaking.

"You can call Lady Xin. This is my son, Noah."
Lin Dan did not mind her coldness and nodded before looking at Noah.
"I am happy to hear that you have made friends with my son."
Those words sounded in Xin Yan's heart like thunder. She could not believe Noah would make friends with the person she wanted to kill. But soon her heart cald down; she believed that Noah must have a reason for doing so. After all, what can sothing like the Soaring Heaven Sect offer that could interest soone like Noah?
Elysia, who seed to be keeping an eye on Xin Yan, noticed all of these changes and smiled in relief. She thought that Xin Yan might act on impulse all over a
sudden, but to her surprise, she held everything in without the help of the seals.
Noah smiled behind the mask and nodded.
"If you would like, we can leave for the sect right now. We are all ready."
Lin Dan did not let Noah rethink his decision. For his plan to work, he needed Noah and Xin Yan to enter his sect and leave it safely.
"Sure, we are ready, whenever Sect Master Lin wants, we can leave." Hearing Noah's answer, the smile on Lin Dan's face widened. He took the two of them towards the place where the elders and the disciples were waiting for them.
Noah noticed while walking, the sect leader secretly used his talisman to send a signal and a ssage.
Both he and Xin Yan, who also noticed this, used their soul sense to the maximum and found sothing amusing.
All of the forest around them, which seed empty, was not so empty. Several forces and supporters from each sect were hiding in the shadows, waiting for a signal to make their move.
